Right away, Dr. Lizotte demonstrated that his number one concern is patient care. He wasn't interested in getting me out the door quickly or putting me through an unending regime and pushing me to buy a number of supplements. Instead, we could tell in the first few minutes that he's different from the rest--he's knowledgeable, has tons of experience, and does whatever it takes to get a correct diagnosis and treatment. For instance, it turned out that I needed a specialist, and he referred me to a doctor outside of his own medical group who he felt would be more competent to handle my case. Dr. Lizotte is authentic, smart, and just really good. We cannot recommend him more!

As an aside, he is internal medicine ,and while family medicine doctors are also great, I feel like IM docs do a great job with any complex adult issues in particular. I had a truly terrible experience with this doctor. He was condescending and dismissive about many…read moreof my concerns, including with respect to conditions for which I have received a prior diagnosis. He routinely failed to have my Rx's filled unless I followed up with him multiple times - I've never had this issue with a doctor. On one occasion, his failure to timely call-in my Rx resulted in my having to wait 45 days to have it refilled due to a nationwide shortage (the pharmacy confirmed that had he called it in on-time, I would have had no issue). The last straw occurred most recently, in which it took 7 days after an appointment for him to call in the Rx for a medicine (for which lack of access could be life-threatening), despite following up with his office 3 times and them failing to call me back after saying they would. It wasn't until I stopped by in person that he finally filled the Rx. This office was an absolute nightmare.
