This past weekend I had to have a cyst that had become seriously infected removed in the emergency room. They packed and dreessed the large wound. But, I needed to repack and dress it again in 2 days. It was impossible for me to do as it was located on the.middle of my back. I called Pearlman and Rodeline answered. She went above and beyond calling to make me a same day appointment at a clinic near my home with appropriatte staff for my treatment. At the clinic PA Jen and nurse practioner Diane were professional and kind and took wonderful care of me. Very unsatisfactory appointment today. On a video telemedicine call my doctor prescribed a blood draw and book my appointment for 10 AM. I arrived a few minutes early and was told that I would be taken care of promptly. 1015, 1020, 1030, 1040 and they still hadn't seen me so I went to the front desk and said what's going on. They said there's only one person in front of you. I said that's not acceptable. Let's cancel the appointment and I'll and book me over at LabCorp to take care of it. Just as I was about to have the front desk take care of setting that appointment. The phlebotomist appeared and then said she could accommodate me and do the blood draw. With all her earnest attempts, she was not able to draw blood from several locations on my arm and hand, and so I told her to take the needle out when I was on my way. With an a short period of time, I was handled professionally at LabCorp, who knew exactly what to do and did so successfully and professionally. I am new with Perlman and my experience opens at this point has been excellent, but today was the exception and so I have to be honest and share my experience. read more

I met Diane Soltic with swollen painful feet, I took my pharmacist sheet of the side effects of AMLODAPINE, showing my exact symptoms, the drug is banned in CANADA. She didn't bother to read it. Instead she evaluated my feet X-RAYS, suggesting my painful swollen feet were the cause of my symptoms?? She did not even read the document of the drug I've taken for years. It had been suggested by reliable sources to get a prescription for a lymphatic message to clear out the toxins in my lymph nodes. Instead I RECEIVED A CALL FROM A PODIATRIST TO MAKE AN APPT BEFORE I GOT HOME! No word regarding my Lymphatic message. She might've been satisfied with her diagnosis, I WAS NOT. So I WILL NEED TO MSKE ANOTHER APPT TO REQUEST A REFILL FOR PAIN MEDS IN ORDER TO SLEEP. I've been unable to walk for 4 weeks now. If my document of the side effects of the drug that I feel exactly describes my symptom would have been read, I FEEL SHE MIGHT HAVE SEEN PROOF. In my humble opinion! I did receive a response that my experience will be investigated!! So Maybe service will be improved for future patients?! read more

It's nice that you can do a blood draw here, but it's not as professional as a dedicated clinic. The phlebotomist was inexperienced and over-caffeinated. His hand was shaking like a leaf. He got the vein right away but I held the needle myself so he wouldn't rip my artery. No harm done. I think he'll learn to lay off the starbucks before sticking people. Also, I am used to making an appointment for convenience but being able to stop in anytime for the draw. They expect you on time here like a doctor visit. Hoping I don't get a bill for being 35 min late. I was able to make a new appointment for a time 5 minutes away. turned out to be 25 minutes, which was fine with me. Seems they weren't that busy. Not bad overall. Got it done. Very convenient. Just need to lay off the coffee. Next I get to see what annual physical tests blue shield denies. read more

I had an 8:00 AM appointment and arrived at 8:10 AM after being told I could still be seen if I arrived by then. I was turned away and told I needed to arrive by 8:09 AM, with no written policy provided. I was not allowed to be seen after the next patient despite being present. The situation gave the impression of overbooking and a lack of respect for patients' time, and it caused unnecessary stress. read more

Doctor was great but I was scheduled for 7:40 AM and arrived to a locked door and no lights. I waited until the time posted on the door for opening (8 AM) and the PSR told me I was late. I told him I arrived on time and the door was locked and lights were off and they didn't have any response besides how they will schedule me for a new opening slot. read more

Beware of this place. I rarely ever write a bad review, but although I loved my experience at Pearlman clinic in Northpark and in Solana Beach, but at this location both my wife and I received severe errors in billing. I liked my primary care dr, she was great. But whoever and however they bill here, beware and check first. Overcharging and booking appointments wrong to gouge the patients out of pocket or insurance alike is wrong. Recommended going to a different location. read more

Everything is in disrepair and it would not be that hard to touch up the paint in each room. But what I like about this clinic is that it has a friendly atmosphere and also the staff necessary to get me in and out without my having to experience any "assembly line" pressure. I spent years going to Scripps. Just took forever to get seen by your doctor and Perlman Clinic Carlsbad. The doctors there are super sharp not always pushing pills on me. They ask all the right questions and it's so convenient. Everybody there is nice. Doesn't feel like you're going to a hospital where people are just overworked. They are Just nice. walked into an almost empty clinic 10 minutes early for my appointment and checked in at the desk. Took a seat and waited. Many staff came and went and took the few patients that also had appointments. At 15 minutes after my appointment time I asked if it was going to be much longer. Then finally the person who was sitting behind the receptionist for the last 25 minutes said she would be right with me. She did take me back and took my blood and did a good job. Unfortunately this is not the first time this clinic has disappointed me and my wife both. My wife found another doctor a long time ago and I will also be going elsewhere. read more
