Just purchased an end-of-year 2026 Audi SQ8 Prestige from Audi of Santa Barbara and the first thing I did was set up an appointment with Chris to get her paint conditioned and ceramic coated. He offered System X's Warranted Ceramic Coat (base coat and top coat) for the paint, all exterior glass with System X's Glass, and my 23" wheels' faces, interior spokes, barrels, and red calipers all around with System X's Wheels. A FULL two day job. Given his loaded backlog, I was able to get the car to him after having Audi of SB delete the OEM brake pads (prodigious brake dust) and have them install DFC 5000 Euro Ceramic brake pads all around. When Chris started on the wheels, he noticed that the barrels in particular "were caked with dust". Thus, my desire to get them coated as well! Paint was clay barred, even though she arrived with only 1200 miles on her, as well as a few paint chips on the hood expertly filled. Picked her up today and she is simply astounding on very level. Paint feels like butter, and looks even better, and has a six year System X warranty. Pictures simply don't do justice to the care and attention Chris paid to this project. Cannot recommend Chris, and his talents, and attention to detail, enough. And I continue to do so with my new six figure toy!!! He's 120 miles away from my home, and I don't hesitate at all to make the trek!

I hadn't had a detail in a decade and it was just filthy inside and out. It's a NEW car, minus the dent I need to have vacuumed or sucked out and the driver's seat. Saab leather cracks sooner than other brands. My Nissan Pathfinder LE (1998) lasted much longer. I took a video but will get pictures later and upload to phone. I cannot believe the ceiling. Like no one ever smoked! It's shiny, shiny, shiny. They did the interior and exterior, plus engine. Elite detailing isn't cheap but if , like me, you paid cash for your used car and have no payments, who cares? It's like a couple months car payment or so. Do yourself a favor and call for a quote. The website has no prices but they also do ceramic coating, with several tiers of packages. You can do a mini-detail or just regular car wash but if you leave the car with them for a day, they will give you a NEW CAR back at the day's end. I'm still on Cloud 9. Floating! Every time I see my baby, I smile! PS. THE SB INDEPENDENT BEST OF LIST IS HORRIBLE. The best acupuncturist, not just in SB but California, is Anthony Kar. He's probably the best in America. He wasn't on the list. My friend, Evan Schoolnik Berger, has a food tour company that didn't make the list. My chiropractor and gym made it. Barry Family Chiro and SBAC/SWELL are the best in town. But David's shop should have made the list.

After paying and excited to get my car back looking newer than ever I was inspecting the car and noticed quarter sized paint chip on the passenger side and rim rash. I confronted David about it and ofc denied it. After taking it home for the first car wash they missed multiple spots with the ceramic coat. Again confronted David and said that's not possible. After showing a video clearly showing it wasn't ceramic coated. Finally agreed to fix it. After that I got a new part added and wanted it coated and paint corrected as well. I paid $300 for that part and the original missing panels to my surprise issues weren't done as promised. After going back the 3rd time. I dropped it off for the whole day then didn't touch the car at all. Wasted my time. 4th time same thing. Finally after the 5th visit it finally gets done after being pushed off for days up to two weeks. If you care about your car and wanted to get the service and respect you deserve. DO NOT GO HERE. HM Ironworks fixed and finished what the other welder I hired messed up and abandoned!…read more I called Jorge at HM Ironworks after I had hired another welder to complete a stair railing. The other welder sent rookie trainees to do most of the work. I had to revise my design several times because of their measurement errors and their other mistakes mounted so high that the welder never came back to finish the job. ENTER IN HM Ironworks - Jorge came and assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. Immediately I could tell Jorge was a man of integrity and that he was very concerned about the poor workmanship of the prior welder and that he wanted to help me by using his skills to fix my problem. Long story short, Jorge fixed all of the mistakes and finished the project for the price and on the time line he promised. I would highly recommend HM Ironworks for any welding project you may have. Start with someone great so you don't have to correct the poor workmanship of others like I did.
