All I needed was permits for a metal building/ shop. After 9 months of going back and forth with them I had to cancel my project with them. I thought it would be a quick turn around but into the project I realized they were worse then dealing with the county. I can go on and on about my very negative experience with this company but all I can say is they don't know what they're doing. FIRST COMMENT (see update below) This was a rough experience! Phone calls not returned or not returned in a timely manner. Transferred to voicemails or transferred to another person who couldn't help me. I told them to stop doing certain work, and they did it anyway. I paid them a thousand dollars, which they lost track of. They sent me a bill almost 2 months after I thought everything was done. I thought I was going to get money back, but instead they misplaced my $1,000 and wanted to charge me an additional $1248. I hope others are having a better experience with this company, but my experience was very negative. It definitely would have been easier if I just did it myself. ------------------------------------------- 2ND COMMENT It turned out they had forgotten to charge my card. I had agreed to $800 for the site plan, and they agreed to just charge me $800 instead of the $1248. I told them to go ahead and charge me $1,000 because I did also get some helpful advice from them. All in all, it was negative experience, but in the end they really did put out an effort to make things right. read more

The company I work for has had a huge influx of permits and luckily we found Permit Services! They are amazing, organized and someone is always available to help! San Jose would take me months to get an appt to even speak with the tech. PS has been able to bypass the long wait and take care of everything as long as we provide a simple sketch! Pay someone big money to pull a permit and save you the hassle. Unfortunately they are not good on their integrity and communication. They kept my money and did not perform. Fast forward to this year. We had been working with the City of Berkeley to obtain a permit for a gate. I was losing sleep over this permit. Where do I even begin with this wonderful company. Well here's where I'll start. My company has been using Permit Services since about 2018. I started using Permit Services myself towards the beginning of 2019. I first started working with ms Candy Carbajal. Unfortunately she left the company to work on some other stuff but man was she great! Since then I've worked with Alicia Adams (stellar in every way possible) Mr. John Rickard (This guy deserves a frickin award. He's amazing) I've also worked with Temika (She is unreal. So good at what she does) Basically my point is, everybody i've worked with has blown me away. Just last week on Friday I needed to get a permit like ASAP. You know what they did? They got me my permit in 2 days!!!!! That's insanely incredible. My point is, if you need a permit of any kind, and you don't have time to deal with the city building departments, call Permit Services today and quit wasting your time! They're good at what they do, quick, very responsive and I mean VERY responsive, and just all around great people.
