The wines delivered all the flavor notes from this unique region, light and refreshing ready to pour whites and roses. After tasting a member-only red blend '22, I became a member of the 4-bottle club! And I took home the red blend and whites/rose. Moving to Denver, NC from Napa was a stretch and I missed my vineyards and the smell of yeast/fermentation process as an intern at RustRidge.com. Visiting and becoming a member at Euda Wine has me feeling at home again (give or take +2,000 miles). Danielle, a very knowledgeable person, got to know our wine preferences and designed a perfect tasting. We also liked the snacks in their self-serve fridge to pair with the wines. She was so nice to not rush us off since we arrived ten minutes before they closed. She even took a photo of us. It was a great visit and I'm lucky to live not far to visit often. The A/C and fans inside kept us nice and cool - very appreciated after hiking in the heat! Service was great, and we were provided with menus and pitchers of water. The winery offers a few local snacks for purchase like meat sticks, goat cheese, and pimento cheese, and you can also BYOF. The Summer Special tasting was a flight of brut natural, sauv blanc, and rosé. The bartender did a great job describing the wines and background of the winery. I enjoyed them all - they're not as bright and crisp as you may expect, and instead they're a bit more funky. A few of my group tried the wines and didn't enjoy them, so I'd warn that they may not appeal to everyone. The rosé especially reminded us almost of an orange wine. I thought they were interesting and worth a try, but they wouldn't be my everyday go-to/may not pair as well with certain foods. For those who weren't fans of the wine by itself, they did enjoy the blueberry wine slushie - a sweeter crowd-pleaser!

I am a sweet wine fan and they did have several to choose from - moscato, peach, blackberry, strawberry, apple, sangria, and cranberry. I loved the flight boards and how they served them. Unfortunately that is where the joy ends. Every single one of their wines tasted like watered down kool-aid or fruit juice - or as Scott said - home kit wines. I tasted no hint of wine in any of their wines. I was so nervous about getting blackberry merlot since merlot is a dry wine, but it was just a light blackberry juice. The only one we remotely enjoyed was the peach. Again, lovely winery, lovely indoor and outdoor seating, great hosts, but the wine is just not my style or preference. I do however recommend going to give it a try since you may love it or just a good winery to visit and hang out at.

It's all listed online and very user-friendly. We showed up around 1130 and wandered around. Picked apples at noon. Then had some live music at one. Very well planned and I'm proud of the way we did it. If you're driving from Asheville, old fort is a great stopping point. We got cinnamon rolls on the way there and Hillman on the way back. It did look like this Orchard had some very affordable barbecue on site. Tons of snacks in the gift shop too. The parking lot was pretty big and they have extra parking. The staff was super kind. I love that it's a nonprofit and there's tons of educational pieces. You will find a bunch of maps and other displays. They have a bee and caterpillar to stay for kids and adults alike. The gift shop. Also both a lot of local crafts like candles, ciders, and honey. No drinking on site. The apple picking is around back. You can get a little bag or two sizes of a basket. We opted for the bag because there is no reason for us to keep a basket around. For eight dollars it's all very affordable. It got us about 12 big apples. The trees are well marked. For picking. It is lots of space for wandering. Definitely not in the shade so it's pretty hot. For me, I really like the extra things that this place had. Cornhole, checkers, Jenga... They usually have bands on the weekend too.

They should have updated the website to reflect this. All of the trails were closed with the exception the short butterfly trail. Word of warning-Don't come here hungry! The restaurant The Apple Core had prices that were beyond outrageous! Three jumbo hot dogs with sides and 3 bottles of water, tax and tip was $50!! Yes, you read that right $50!! For damn hot dogs!! They also have an over priced tourist gift shop. My wife bought 4 small stickers, a small sew on patch and 5 honey sticks and with tax and a small tip it came to $28. So with the way overpriced lunch, some small souvenirs and one small scoop of ice cream, we spent $85 that day which was at least twice as much as it we should have paid. My wife and I agreed for a 4 hour round trip drive and the amount of money we spent it wasn't worth it and we will not be returning!
