We contacted E & C Tree Services on Thumbtack. Erick responded the same day and scheduled an appointment to provide a free estimate. He offered us such an amazing price that we hired him on the spot. He performed the job the next day. What sets this company apart from others is Erick is very approachable and honest. I was the point person because my husband was at work, and as a woman, he did not look at me strangely. He gave me the same respect he would give anyone, and I appreciated that. While some companies were a no-show, no call numerous times, Erick kept every promise he made. The first day he came out, he protected us in making us aware of another tree that was dying and would have possibly been dead in 1 year. We were able to add this to the job. In comparison, the other companies never looked outside of the specified scope. I know nothing about trees, and I appreciated that Erick had forethought to mention this dying tree. The day of the job, Erick and his team arrived early, and they performed more than the initial scope and did not charge an additional price to do so. I tipped him; however, it was much less than the value of the overall job. I can tell in Erick's actions that tree cutting is about more than money for him; it is about keeping his customers safe and performing a job of high quality. Lester surveyed Monday afternoon, and scheduled removal of 11 trees (8 of which were more than 100 feet tall) for the next day. Lester was a pleasure to work with. He's very seasoned, explain the process, and provided a quote on the spot. I booked the service for the very next day. The crew of ~six arrived on time, with multiple vehicles and equipment, and the job took about 8 hours. When they left, you couldn't tell (except for the missing trees), that anything had been done. I think my yard and street were cleaner than when they arrived. When moving debris in my side yard, they also cleared trees that had previously fallen.
