PHENOMENAL Indian food. We are Indian and we are incredibly picky about our Indian food, so take it from us when we say that this place is amazing. We have lived in the Williamson county area for several years now. We have been severely disappointed by the lack of authentic Indian food in this area. We've had to drive to Nashville to find anything that we liked. We were sitting at home one day scrolling through Yelp when we saw this restaurant and decided to take our kids here and try it. What was unbelievable was that everything we tried at this restaurant was great. The veg hot and sour soup was delicious. Our kids devoured it. The Indo Chinese Hakka noodles were made mild so our kids could eat it and it was delicious for us as well. The dahi poori was flavorful and fresh. The dhosa came out nice and crispy, and the sambhar and coconut chutney were very authentic. To top it all off, the naan was hot and fresh, and our paneer tikka masala and baigan Bertha were just the perfect amount of spice and flavor. You could taste that the eggplants were freshly roasted and cooked. My husband said that it reminded him of his grandmother's version, and that is no small compliment. I wish that I had taken a picture, but we demolished everything so you would've just seen empty plates. Place was clean. The waiter got my order wrong and even after explaining that to him he didn't offer to make it up or take it off my bill. Ended up just eating my soup that wasn't good at all. Go to the other ones in the area! 9-14-23 the manager reached out and refunded my bill. The customer service alone has been great. Will return to give this plane another shot. read more

Heard this was place was new and decided to give it a try. We went for lunch buffet on Saturday and had an amazing lunch. Every dish in the buffet was tasty and delicious. They maintained the place well and service was good. They have a small buffet but I the food was tasty. It's good that they tried to maintain the flavors and not go crazy in the items count. I hope they keep the flavors the same and maintain them well for long time. I would definitely recommend this for now. I will update the review if they loose touch but the food we had was delicious. read more

The food here was outstanding. Having said that, we were less than impressed by the general lack of cleanliness/ tidiness. We were the first customers of the evening so I was surprised to fine the restroom trash can overflowing. Surely this should have been emptied after the lunchtime shift. Also the light switch in the men's room was filthy, I wouldn't want to touch it. Finally, our server, though very pleasant and polite looked somewhat disheveled, not really appropriately dressed to be serving the public. read more

Food is outstanding, however their customer service can use a bit of mannerism upgrade. If you're going to send a discount code to your customers, then please honor that at time of check out instead of looking clueless, dumbfounded and honestly in no shape or form to reply to customer with proper response. I've been on a mission to try all of the amazing Indian food spots in Frankin, and this one is one of the best. All of their dishes have excellent, bright spices! If you've never tried lamb roganjosh, this one might spoil you. The saag paneer, goat gongura, and mixed tandoori are also not to be missed! Staff is super friendly and takeout is seamless. They have a lunch buffet that I can't wait to try. It's easy to miss this spot, since it's in a busy parking lot, but it's really worth seeking it out. read more

I live in CA where there are MANY Indian restaurants. I'm visiting my sister here for the holidays. This one one of my favorite Indian favorite places ever. The service and food were excellent and when you want it spicy, they make it SPICY! We ordered chicken lollipops for an appetizer. Spicy and excellent! We had our go-tos, chicken tikka masala and lamb saag for entrees. Excellent! Highly recommended! read more

The people were very rude. We LOVE Indian food and usually encounter very hospitable people who work there. But Persis was not that place. We were confused because the OPEN sign was on but the internet said that they closed at 2:30pm, however there were people showing up and the door was open. So, we asked the men who had come out of the building to greet the people arriving if they were actually open. They just shrugged their shoulders, looked at each other and ignored us and laughed. I love Indian cuisine. in my area there are many great restaurant. I wanted to try PERSIS off of Carothers on Sunday.l, my order was take out. I ordered inside, the gentleman was helpful in his recommendations. I brought my food home and with the first bite of my Shrimp appetizer, I immediately got nauseated. Honestly, I'm not even sure it was shrimp, whatever "this" was, was as hard as a rock, I had to spit it out, tried another bite, same thing... disgusting. I cut open one of the shrimp and it did not look like like meat / shrimp at all! it was bizarre, disgusting, and not edible. I tried the the Biryani chicken dish and same thing with this chicken! What was it?! Not chicken I can tell you that! Hard as a rock, texture was not edible. it was all gross. I think the health department needs to investigate this restaurant. In the meantime, there are other amazing Indian restaurants in cool springs, Tennessee, you will find me there. read more

This place is hit or miss. We ate there at the restaurant recently and had an outstanding meal. Then we ordered to go and received particularly poor quality food. The tomato basil was sugary and over salted; very little coconut milk taste. The Navratan Korma was composed mostly of paneer and raisins when it is supposed to be vegetables. Plus the main flavoring seemed to be salt. The other entre was Tikka Masala which was lacking flavor and over salted. We won't order to go anymore from this restaurant. I do not understand why they let incompetent people prepare food for sale to customers. read more

I go here at least once a week, sometimes 2 or 3 times. I usually get the buffet, because I like all their options. They are always so friendly and welcoming. I go there often enough that they know me now. Really convenient to where I work, and not too far from where I live. Definitely check them out. read more
