Chicken Vindaloo

If I could leave 3.5 stars I would, but cannot leave a 4. A couple of rubs.... Not a big deal, however the waitress, just seemed very aloof. I sat for a good 5-7 minutes with my credit card on the table, only to walk up to the register, to finally pay my check. I had some sort of onion "petals" as an app. Very good and pretty unique. I am also HUGE chicken vindaloo fan. So that's what I ordered. What was served, was more of a masala style with an orangish colored sauce, instead of the typical deep red. The other issue was, the big clumps of chicken that were in the bowl/not cut all the way through. Since only a spoon and a fork are served, I had no way to cut the large pieces, and simply left them on the plate.

The food was delicious and perfectly flavored! Bathrooms were very clean and tidy ( let's be serious we all want to know this). Definitely coming back for a future visit to try more options and desserts!

What I got

I ordered the Paneer Majestic, expecting paneer in a "Paneer pieces in rich, aromatic Indian sauce. Choose spice level: mild, medium, or spicy. Weekend special delight." as described in the menu. The panner arrived with no sauce. After calling the restaurant, the manager stated, "It doesn't come with sauce". highly deceptive, and as business declines, the portions are getting smaller and less sauced. DO NOT GO HERE... no customer care and mediocre food:(

So glad Spring hill has a place to get Indian now! Tons of options on the menu. They do not play about spice, I always suggest spicing down just a little, if you aren't looking to be burnt up. The food was good, and the kids options worked well with my family. Pretty mural on the wall, and amazing service (we had a very large party and birthday with multiple children) - waitress was great, and even got is a free slice of cake. The prices are a little steep (but hey- what isn't anymore lol) But worth it for a memorable dinner out

ok so haven't been getting out as much as i'd like due to possibly losing my day job...touch and go but we made it to aha for an evening with my better half and my # 2 daughter which is always a good time...so we went Indian! Ambiance: Sitting in a strip mall is never encouraging but honestly i have found over the years some really cool and great places. It was very modern but set up well with many decorations that made the ambiance ok despite the electronica music.... Food: Good portions / main dishes were tasty for sure and rice was on point. Definitely tasty. we did try the Chapati bread as my wife has always wanted to have some since her trip to Africa however this was a wheat tortilla with butter ...make your own and don't order! Service: Hostess and server were nice but then the hostess manager came out and was very stand offish and not friendly at all... Price: Average - not super pricy but not cheap either - you will pay $15 or more per dish... Summary: if your in Spring Hill you will enjoy this and have a good experience of you get the right server.... Keep Munching!!!

I LOVE this place! Not just because it's in convenient --in Spring Hill TN... the food is amazing, from what I can tell. But I only had the Chicken Korma so far (AMAZING) The happy hour Rose Margaritas were also sublime and a perfect accompaniment to this gourmet chef quality Indian Cuisine So what is different about the Chicken Korma here from the "other" Indian restaurants in Nashville? In my opinion, this Chicken Korma (a favorite) stands above anything I've had in the greater Nashville area because it had fresh slivers of almond, parsley and herbs, and tasted succulent and moist with a perfect gravy like sauce spiced exactly to the level I asked for (SPICY) hahaha Other places I've tried this dish basically have some flavorful gravy and some chicken that can be a little tough or fatty, but nothing on this quality or level If this is indicative of all of their other menu items, I will run back with my family in tow ... to try every single thing on the menu ! Nice ambience too. hip. Clean. Glass block.. cool vibe Yes. Now Spring Hill is getting sophisticated quickly. Spring Hill has some great places to eat and the people here are kind and respectful. What else could you ask for ? Oh ya. Reasonable prices. $13 Korma ! $5 Rose Margaritas ( I HAD 2 !! Lol ) Check it out. You'll thank me !!

We were immediately impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and decided to enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating on a perfect evening. The patio was comfortable, relaxing, and added such a lovely touch to our meal. The highlight was undoubtedly their wonderful buffet. It was fresh, flavorful, and had an incredible variety of authentic Indian dishes that satisfied every craving. What really made the experience special was watching the guy at the grill making fresh crepes (dosas) right in front of us--hot, crispy, and perfectly prepared. It added such a fun, interactive element to the buffet and made everything taste even better knowing it was made to order. The service was attentive and friendly, the flavors were bold and delicious, and the overall value for such a high-quality spread was outstanding. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Namaste delivers an exceptional experience.

They had a multitude of chicken and veggie options like chicken tikka masala and chicken curry and tanddori chicken. It would have been nice to have some pescatarian options and spinach. This isn't just my favorite Indian restaurant in Tennessee--it's hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. Everything from the moment you walk in feels special. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and inviting without feeling over-the-top. The staff has always been welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations, making every visit feel like a great experience. The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is packed with bold, authentic flavors while still feeling creative and unique. You can tell there's incredible attention to detail in every bite. The sauces are rich and perfectly balanced, the meats are cooked to perfection, and the fresh naan is something I could order over and over again. I've tried Indian food in several places over the years, and nothing has come close to this. As a huge Food Network fan, it made the experience even more exciting knowing this is Chef Maneet Chauhan's restaurant. I've watched her for years on Tournament of Champions, Chopped, and other Food Network shows, so finally getting to enjoy her food in person exceeded every expectation I had. This is one of those restaurants I recommend to everyone who visits Nashville. Whether you're already a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this is the place to go. I'll be coming back again and again--it's become my favorite restaurant in Tennessee, and I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu. Highly, highly recommend!

Where do I begin?…read more Our first visit to Chauhan Ale & Masala House was nothing short of exceptional. Since we'd never been before (from Oklahoma), we had lots of questions, and our server was phenomenal-patient, knowledgeable, and full of thoughtful recommendations that made the entire experience even better. We started with the Gol Guppa Shots and Asparagus Fennel Chaat, and from the very first bite we knew we were in for something special. Every dish was beautifully plated, bursting with bold Indian flavors and creative combinations that kept surprising us. The Tamarind Lamb Chops paired with the vindaloo curry were outstanding. The vindaloo was perfectly balanced-just enough heat to remind you it's there without overwhelming your palate, allowing the depth of flavor to shine. The Chicken Kabob with the Short Rib French Onion Naan was equally unforgettable. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and we finished by sharing the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake before sipping Chai-Spiced Espresso Martinis that were simply amazing. Every plate was colorful, every bite delivered exciting layers of flavor, and every recommendation exceeded our expectations. This wasn't just dinner-it was an experience. If you're looking for bold flavors, inventive cuisine, exceptional cocktails, and genuine hospitality in Nashville, Chauhan Ale & Masala House is an absolute must. We'll definitely be back.

It had that calm mid-afternoon vibe, perfect for grabbing a quiet meal. Service: Everyone was super friendly and easygoing. My server made great recommendations, checked in just enough, and had a really nice energy about them. You can tell they care about the experience. Food & Drink: I went with the Palak Paneer -- paneer cooked in creamy spinach with spices -- and it was awesome. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and it came loaded with paneer. I ended up getting extra rice just to scoop up every bit of that sauce. Totally hit the spot. Overall: Great food, great service, and a super chill spot to unwind. We ordered family-style, and every dish that hit the table was vibrant, aromatic, and made with love. The tandoori chicken was simple yet so comforting, it arrived in a sizzling skillet adding a hint of flare in the presentation. Each chicken piece was beautifully charred, and coated in a bold, smoky marinade. The curries were so rich and each one had its own personality. The creamy yellow curry from the Chicken Korma was very rich in flavor while the saagwala was earthy, well-seasoned, and not over-puréed. Personally my favorite was the chicken korma the curry sauce was just on another level, I highly recommend this dish. The lamb biryani was another highlight with fragrant basmati rice and huge chunks of lamb generously garnished with fresh cilantro. Bread lovers be warned!
