My computer totally died! It's a grandpa computer (like 7 years old) so he was on his last breath... loading windows for half an hour... The antivirus just wouldn't start. Word would load but that was pretty much all it would do. And then he just died;((( I need to say that I'm a student, and it's very important for me to have my computer. So I rushed to fix it. I chose Complete Computer Cure because they where close by to where I live, and the staff was very nice and seemed on top of everything. At that time I did not see the reviews on Yelp. They took it in, and in a while figured out what was wrong. Suggested options. I had Ram upgraded to 16 GB also a new hard drive and a new battery. That all costed about $500- so not cheap. Also from the minuses it did take them longer than they said it would. But who of us is always on time? I took my computer home and OMG. It's flying!!! The load time is 30 sec. Everything is working great. I'm so happy with the performance! Then I saw some very bad reviews from 2014 on Yelp, so wanted to say- whatever was the situation then, it's not like that anymore. They are supper professional. Super nice to customers. I had a great conversation with one of the employees about gaming and he recommended best computers for that purpose and what is the best time of year to buy it. I dropped off my printer. They said that there is a $65.00 minimum labor if they do any repairs. I said fine if you do any repairs I will pay it no problem. They called me back saying the part doesn't come in for a few weeks I said that I can't wait so long. They told me that I need to pay the $65.00 labor fee anyways because they trouble shot that there was an obvious break on the front feeder. Now they are holding my printer hostage for $65.00 when they didn't do any labor. They are lyers and thieves avoid them at all cost. M.L is the business owner, he is full of shit. They are very, very reasonably priced compared to the big box technology stores' repair windows. Their turn-around time to fix my computer from all viruses and malware was one hour. They did not charge me when I called the next day to ask them to walk me through solving an additional computer problem. Before you go to any of those big box technology stores, call Mike, Carlos and Juan. For background, I took my four month-old computer to one of the big box stores to diagnose why I had so many problems with it. It took them four days to get back to me and when they did, they told me my computer was full of viruses. That big box store wanted to charge me $200 for the repair and would have taken a couple more days at least, meaning I would have been without a computer for a full week. CCC fixed everything for a roughly a quarter the cost, they found and fixed additional problems the big box store did not mention and all of this took them one hour, versus the seven days minimum that big box store would have required. I recently had a virus in both my laptop and desktop computers. Both were very important to me for my work. I visited Complete Computer Care in Sherman Oaks and talked with Art. He immediately engendered trust and confidence and did not let me down. The laptop was a relatively quick fix, but the desktop was much more complicated, and involved significant patience, experience and skill on Art's part. First let me say that the preceding reviews are baloney. Anyone who expects to pay an independent company nothing to diagnose a problem is quite simply not living in the real world. Anyone who drops off a piece of equipment/cable for repair and doesn't leave with a receipt is not being truthful. I have been doing business with Ben at Complete Computer Cure for over fifteen years. Never, not once, has he ever done less than a stellar job: computer sales, computer upgrades, data rescue, drive rescue, computer repair . . . Complete Computer Cure continues to be the computer cure all for all three of my corporations as well as my household computers. Case in point: recently a ProTools bug caused an OS error damaging the boot drive on my main mix rig. An AVID expert put me in touch with a data rescue company that wanted $250 non-refundable diagnostic/bench fee, $450 if they fixed it and a minimum 7-10 days to get the job done (add $250 if I wanted it within 3-5 days). Ben & Carlos analyzed the drive, backed up the data and returned the data copied to a new drive (which I had provided) within 24 hours for $75. When I went to pick up the drive(s) Carlos walked me through what remained to be done on my end to salvage the original drive (remember I now had a complete copy of data from the damaged drive that Carlos had transferred to a new drive). Carlos and Ben balked when I insisted on paying for the extra time. They called me the following day to make sure that everything was working properly. From 'dead in the water' to 'back up and working' within 24 hours for $75 with a terrific attitude. I could recount many, many such occasions over the past fifteen years when Ben and Complete Computer Cure have quite literally saved my company(s) whether it was slow/infected PC's, physical drive failures or corrupted QuickBooks files all the way to jammed DVD's in a kid's laptop. I have to say that Art is an amazing Technician he is very professional, knowledgeable, great work ethics and got straight to the issues. I was very impressed and extremely happy that he found the time in their busy schedule to fit me in. Micheal was kind enough to go above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I highly recommend Art. I'm glad to see these crooks getting the horrible reviews they deserve. Several years ago, I thought I needed a new printer cable. This place is one block from where I live, so I walked over and asked the clerk, "if it turned out to not fix the problem, could I return it and get my money back?" (about $10). He said, no problem. It, in fact, turned out to not be the problem, so I took it back for a refund. The clerk said he wasn't authorized to give me a refund, but I should leave the cable with him and come back to collect from the boss. When I did, the boss said he couldn't go by my word that that's what happened, refused the refund and kept the returned cable. I made a written complaint to the Better Business Bureau, but they ruled that it was their word against mine. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing they lost out on hundreds of dollars worth of business over the years since then. I can't even say they were "penny wise", because that would be giving them too much credit, but they sure are pound foolish. read more

I suggest you record your conversations, because they will argue with you later about what you said-- even when they have put it in writing. On Friday I asked them to tweak Office Suite 2010 to make the typeover functionwork, particularly in Outlook. Intake person created paper work that said "Check Insert key in Outlook." On Monday I got a call asking what I needed done. At that point I couldn't even remember (I was in the car and there had been another issue, too). I called back half an hour later and was told that the intake person remembered I couldn't open a Word attachment in Outlook. I never said any such thing. I explained again I wanted the Insert key to work for typeover in all 4 Office Suite applications. When I picked up the computer later on Monday, functionality was there for Word, but not Outlook. The technician said it was an Outlook problem--needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I said I need to use the computer but I can bring it back in the morning. "What time will you be in?" I asked. 8:30 a.m. I was told. I said, I will be here at 8:30. In the meantime I thought about it. Typeover is a common issue fixed within the program. On Tuesday morning, I appeared at 8:30 a.m. No techncian. I had to wait abut 20 minutes for him. Then I showed him some information from the Web about how to fix the issue. He said, "Why don't you fix it yourself?" Me: I don't have time. Tech: What makes you think I have time? Me: I'm paying you. I took my computer and left, never to return. read more
