How rude and unprofessional! I don't know what kind of business this is and I don't care! Well little things go awry all the time and on this particular problem it was just a faucet leaking. I called around and most places had a service charge, and then the cost of the repairs. I finally found Trademark and they had a $99 3 year membership fee where the initial service call is waived and you also, get 10% off of all repairs. It's a great service. Leah, is my point of contact and she's always really insightful. I had a problem with my only property wanted to enlist in their services again. However, my situation was a bit more complicated. But instead of just taking my money, Leah, explained what would and would not be covered. This way I did not just waste my money. With honestly up front, it makes it so that you can trust their work more.

When I asked Hage Energy to come and look at the issue they told me that my unit was too old and the compressor had to work too hard which caused the breaker to trip. They recommended a new system and because the freon was the old type they had the replace everything, both units inside and outside. Together It was $8000 which was a lot for this unit. Now after 8 months it is hot again and the breaker is tripping still when it is hot. Last week they send out a technician who showed on his multimeter that the amps where OK (15 amps) and that the breaker box needs to be changed. Why could they notmeasure that right away in september? Is this ethical/professional? Would you consider doing business with Hage Energy?

These guys do great work. They are familiar with installing power in old buildings and also working with new technology, such as LED lighting. Nathan and Steve installed a 10-foot LED light strip, concealed behind a live-edge shelf (cut from a tree lengthwise). The LEDs shine up toward ceiling and down on the kitchen counters, providing ample light. Yet the LEDs do not blind you, because they are behind, and slightly above the back edge of the shelf. The LEDs are super-bright, 6500 Kelvin, so we had a combination dimmer/driver installed to control them. This project turned out just wonderful, and the LED lighting provides both added safety and enhanced drama in the kitchen -- where everyone loves to hang out.

But anyone interested in mini splits and VRF technology should read our story before choosing to work with Morgan Pro. We trusted them to 1) assess our home for the most energy-efficient HVAC system it could accommodate and 2) install it correctly. Morgan Pro failed to do either. Their $3K Manual J assessment of our 1500 sq. ft home determined it needed a 5-ton HVAC system. It took them over 30 visits to fully install a VRF system in our house and to get it functional--two inverters outside (they accidentally blew up the first one) and 6 mini splits through our home in all the ceilings. During that time, they also caused unnecessary damage: cutting extra joists, drawing on antique trim, and they compensated us for that. The HVAC system passed city inspection, but it never worked 100%. As Morgan Pro kept trying to fix it, we had to agree to things they had promised to avoid--wall thermostats everywhere, humidity and noise levels that were too high, and on and on. When water started pouring from our new ceilings in the middle of a Houston summer, it was clear to everyone that the system was simply wrong for our house. But instead of taking responsibility for their enormous failure, Morgan Pro blamed the two things we had paid them many thousands to professionally assess: our house, and the system! Their next move was to conduct a test on our home, claiming it now needed 8 tons of HVAC (!), not 5, and that we pay them a further $14K to get it up to 8 tons. Knowing it was utterly laughable that our 1500 sq. ft house was an 8-ton home, our only next step was a legal dispute to get them to give us a correctly-sized and functional system for the money they had already taken for us, with consequent delays to a remedy. Shocked and exhausted, we decided that delay was worse than simply severing ties with an inept business we could never trust again. Morgan Pro ended up waiving thousands we still owed them so they could crawl away from their own meaningless install guarantee, and we were relieved to see them go. We then removed the entire system (see photos) and installed a conventional one (4 tons!) which has worked perfectly from the start, costs much less to run, is much quieter, and is a great fit for the structure of our fully renovated historical home. Our new HVAC technician who extracted system has installed the same units many times before. He pointed out the clear mistakes he saw in Morgan Pro's installation, and said the technology was also just not suited to our house. Morgan Pro's supplier and factory rep (who they depended on almost exclusively) were also at fault and we are making formal reports to their respective professional boards and the manufacturer as well. All of them failed us abysmally, but none more than Morgan Pro: they failed to do right by our home and us, when that was their *only* job for which we paid many thousands in good faith while supporting their efforts in our home for months with remarkable patience and kindness. Everlasting shame on them. We have written this review so that other Houston customers can be well informed. We would hate for the same experience to happen to anyone else because we had remained silent about their record with us. One star is for their fantastic office staff and their young tech Ricky, who always worked as hard as he could to do his best, though he was way out of his depth on these units.
