Highly recommend Personally Fit. Its patient care driven with quality Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, front desk staff and state of the art exercise equipment. Personally Fit also offers fitness classes too! I have been a repeat client several times due to various injuries (2021 - 2025), and the delivery of service and experience continues to be consistent. Beware that this place will try to sell you on more therapy than your insurance covers with no regard to what it is going to cost you. I am saddened that what seemed like a good experience at first turned sour. My therapist provided good treatment but their incompetence at dealing with my insurance cost me over $3000! Be prepared to micromanage them to make sure they handle your insurance properly. I'm going back to PRN if I need PT again. I never had this issue with PRN. I had an Atna PPO and my therapist, Charmaine, failed to perform re-assessments when required in order to show progress and that additional therapy was medically necessary. Allison alerted me after a few weeks that my insurance stopped paying due to billing codes. I looked into it and it was not a billing code issue at all, it was because Charmaine failed to provide an assessment that continued PT was medically necessary. This, coupled with her aggressive plan to have me come in 3 times a week really added up to an extremely costly and bad experience. It was obvious that she was just trying to make money and didn't care what it cost me. Allison was so useless. I had to spend hours on the phone with Atena because she kept saying that it will go better if the patient calls. I have never heard this before! She wasn't even able to go on the Atena website and find out what a provider is supposed to do when they have denied treatments. They actually have a provider link with all the instructions on their website. I had to call to find out that they were supposed to have done a peer review. Instead, we went into an appeals process. Charmaine said she would get a letter from my doctor and when they lost the appeal, I found out that she never asked him for a letter. No wonder the appeal was lost! This just confirmed she didn't care what this cost me. I actually had a similar issue with PRN, but they are more competent at dealing with insurance companies, so they caught it right away. It was only 4 treatments. They said that it was their fault since the therapist failed to do the re-evaluation and send me back to my doctor for a renewal so they covered the cost. Back to Personally Fit. No such accountability or offer to share the costs with me. They would rather share the proceeds with a collection agency than give a patient a break due to their mishandling of insurance protocol. If you have a lot of money to burn, this is a great place for physical therapy. read more

Physical Therapy- Absolutely the best therapists I have been to. Have been going on and off for -0 years and am always impressed with the kindness, compassion, HAPPINESS and professionalism of the entire staff. I usually see Charmaine - who's knowledge about the body is amazing! Dave is also extremely knowledgeable and great! I zig zag between the two. The PTA's are so very kind and helpful (and patient!) They also have a GYM! It's got everything you need for a great workout and the view is of the pond/ducks in RB. Personally fit is a wonderful physical therapy facility. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and professional. All of the equipment is well maintained and clean. I have been going off and on for over 12 years. My therapist has been Doris. She is amazing. Not only is she a wonderful professional she is also extremely kind and understanding. I feel so fortunate to have found Personally Fit. I always feel welcomed by the front office staff. It's a great place for seniors who want to maintain their wellness. I have been going to PERSONALLY FIT since 2014. I love going there each week, because I know I'm getting stronger and dealing with less pain. My therapist, David Blanchard is pleasant and professional. He has helped me tremendously with my foot and leg, and some low back issues. The whole staff is great and the environment is nice. Let me start first by saying that your facility is very beautiful and well equipped with all the machines, the place is very clean, very open and very welcoming. I am now a patient post hip replacement, I had a full treatment 10 month ago before my hip replacement. As you enter you are welcomed by Mandee, a super sweet, talented, and always with a smile. While multitasking , she makes you feel special and ready to help you. Mandee is always going above and beyond tirelessly while training other staff members, she is excellent and is very attentive to all your needs. Then, You go to Charmaine, the queen of all physical therapists in San Diego. She is definitely one of a kind, I am so lucky to have her! I have never met anyone like her. Her skills are beyond any expectation. She is on top of her profession with all the knowledge she has, and yet very humble and kind. She is very patient and very smart. After every session I feel that she is helping me heal, her hands are magical, her endurance and persistence show how patient passionate she is. She is so dedicated and so professional. Charmaine is a gem! Last but not least, Jenna is so dedicated to her profession, so skilled, and so talented, stays calm under pressure, and gives you her full attention as if you were the only patient that she has. She has amazing time management and knows how to prioritize to make sure every patient is cared for to the max. She is always so cheerful and smiling while working so hard. Many times, I have used Personally Fit for my physical therapy needs. From a shoulder, lower back, wrist and ankle. Doris Flood and other PTs professionally assessed my injury, to defining a great treatment plan and eventually healing. All of the time achieving great relief of pain. I know the Floods and my orthopedist, Dr. Palanca recommended them to me. I highly recommend them for your physical therapy needs too. read more

I have received physical therapy at Personally Fit multiple times over the past 4 years. Charmaine is extremely skilled and caring. Besides hands-on treatment Charmaine also provided me with at-home exercises which have been instrumental in keeping me flexible and improving my ability to be as active as I want. More recently I saw Michele for a neck issue. I arrived in pretty intense pain. Michele reduced my pain by about 90% with just the first session. I can't recommend Personally Fit highly enough; not only are the therapists the best but the support staff is also first-rate. read more

Great place and had to go here for physical therapy. Service is wonderful and everyone is very helpful and lets you know next steps etc.

I had Total Knee Replacement surgery and a friend recommended Personally Fit. So I waited a week after my last in-home PT appointment to get my initial evaluation appt at PF. Then I had a following appointment the next week which included 20 min massage (which was great) and then 22 minutes on exercycle but was told techs would be with me soon. Waited until my hour was up, no techs so I left. Next appointment was cancelled. The next week was again working massage on the leg followed by exercycle and then a tech which led me through two (2) exercises I was doing at home already. He also left for 5 minutes but did return. Underwhelmed at this point. I have 2 appointments scheduled for this week but got a call to cancel another appointment. The early stages of TKR is KEY to recovery, 1x/week PT is not enough. So I cancelled all of my appointments and signed up elsewhere. I would have rather Personally Fit would have just said they could not take anymore patients that mess around like this. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Personally Fitness to anyone. read more

After experiencing a traumatic injury almost one year ago (Broken Left Humerus Bone) last July, then working through a substantial amount of pain & swelling over the next two months, my Orthopedist suggested I go to Personally Fit for physical therapy. Since Last October, I've been going to Personally Fit twice weekly for PT on my shoulder & arm. I'm so impressed with the entire staff at Personally Fit, they are kind, caring, and go out of their way to guide, assist, and make you feel as comfortable as possible while receiving therapy. The friendly & professional attitude at Personally Fit is always consistent and they go out of their way to make sure you are attended to in a positive & caring way. I was introduced to and received therapy from Ryan, who is outstanding in approach to targeting specific areas where trauma exists, and slowly but surely working those areas to create complete range of motion. Being age 56, then experiencing a very unfortunate incident that you never expect to happen, really did a number on my body and also affected my physical & mental confidence. My doctor actually told me at the very outset that my broken bone injury was probably 8 weeks start to finish, which was so very far from the actual reality or truth. It's been a 12 month process to regain normal range of motion and I accepted that time frame a few months ago, after all the therapy as well as hard work to bring myself back to my standard of quality, having kept myself in good shape and being an active individual over the years. I owe a great deal to Ryan and the entire staff at Personally Fit for helping me to physically & mentally work through the process of physical therapy and understand that with time and perseverance, things do get better and your body will respond. Highly recommend them for physical therapy. Professional, caring, and their care and instruction cured my lower back pain. This was a life changer for me. I can travel now and lift my carry on bag up into the overhead compartment on the airplane. Can't thank them enough for improving my quality of life! Thanks to their therapy I can continue to work. Have been working with Madison to recover from a critical injury in which I was no longer able to walk. I have been walking for several months and Madison has been fantastic in getting me back to my old self. I still have a long way to go but with her help I am getting better every day. I have been meaning to write this review for some time because I was so pleased with my experience at Personally Fit. The name says it all. You do not feel like a number there. Everybody greets you and is friendly and professional. Andrew fixed my shoulder, which I could not move without pain. I was amazed at his level of skill. It seemed like he had a million tricks and techniques to get the results we needed. He really put a lot of effort into figuring out the problem and getting my shoulder pain-free. Not only that, but he also taught me how to keep up my exercise regime when I left so that I could stay out of PT. I highly recommend this place. I have been treated by Doris and Carrie at Personally Fit for over a year. Both practitioners are excellent and I highly recommend them. They have helped me with foot drop and other issues related to MS. They developed an exercise regime that targets my problem areas and increases my strength and coordination. While the staff seemed professional, they where trying to handle too many patients at one time. Running back and forth between patients is never good. The deal breaker though was cleanliness. I was asked to lay on a table that had some greasy smears on it, either from sweat or what ever creams where applied to the last person. Obviously the table was not cleaned after the last use. I did see staff standing around, so they had time to take care of that. They also gave me used electrode pads. In the past, at other physical therapy places, the pads went with the patient. New pads for each person. While this saves them money, I don't believe they pass that savings onto the consumer, or insurance provider. I give an F for cleanliness, which brings the over all score down quite a bit. This is only my first visit, I hope they do better in the future. read more

I am a passionate devotee of Personally Fit! My rating: Outstanding! Eight years ago my scoliosis had progressed to a point where I was constantly in back pain. I was fortunate to be referred to Jim Flood, who revived me! His treatments, along with exercise programs he designed for me, have kept me "up and running" ever since. Now I work out 3 times a week on the state-of the-art selection of equipment available for strength-training at this facility. I continue to see Jim as needed and get healing massages from Dan Westfall, the excellent masseur on staff. All the personnel are very friendly and caring, and a wide variety of fitness classes are taught by skilled instructors. Jim and his wife Doris (also a gifted physical therapist) are the owners, and they run Personally Fit with professionalism, care, and integrity. A+ read more
