My family recently joined LA Fitness and we've had such a positive experience so far. The location…read moreis fantastic, right across from 4S Commons Town Center, so it's super convenient to grab groceries, coffee or tea before or after a workout. It makes fitting the gym into my routine so much easier. From the beginning, the staff has been friendly, welcoming and helpful. Brandon especially made the whole process easy by taking the time to explain the membership options clearly and answer all of our questions. We really appreciated how patient and knowledgeable he was. I've already tried the yoga and aqua fitness classes and loved both of them. The atmosphere is really positive and motivating. The only challenge is that the gym can get pretty busy at certain times, so some of the equipment is often occupied. I'm still figuring out the best times to come in for a smoother workout experience. Very excited to try the newly opened Glute Room next, and maybe Pilates too. Really looking forward to continuing my fitness journey here!

I had been lifting here for 4 years 3-4 times a week and it's sad to see how far it's fallen. The…read morefront desk staff and the gentleman at the smoothie/snack area are very nice but that's about it 1. NO a/c or proper ventilation; recently it has been borderline dangerous to even attempt a full workout here with how hot and musty it is. The building genuinely stinks and it's extremely hot with stagnant air that will make you feel sick 2. No new machines/ outdated machines/ machines taking ages to fix; the fact that they have 4 rooms (2 which were freshly remodeled) for things like zoomba, treadmills, Pilates and glutes with an upper floor solely for treadmills is outrageous considering their weight lifting machines are constantly breaking and taking weeks to fix. 3. No parking due to how many people will come at one time to partake in the Pilates, zoomba, glute, and treadmill class 4. Over priced with no amenities. The pool is nasty, locker rooms are gross, sauna is full of creepy old dudes. 5. Horrible hours of operation on weekends. All of these would not be a problem if they didn't charge 40 dollars or more for passes. Not to mention the lack of cleanliness from other gym goers who don't wipe down machines or use two at once and waste other people's time. Still a decent gym with good people but not worth it compared to things like the new gym that opened in RB that's open 24/7.

It's the nicest 24 hour fitness near Poway as far as I can tell. Super spacious, tons of equipment,…read moremostly clean, at least in the workout area. The one thing that makes this place difficult to workout at after work is that 80% of people using the gym are teenagers between the hours of 5pm-9pm. I would not mind this IF NOT a for the fact that it's very common for the girls to take selfies in the locker room-- which makes it incredibly difficult for everyone else to change. **Edit** To the copy paste reply that was given to this post: It's laughable that you think I'm gonna do unpaid administrative work that is YOUR job to do in my free time just to make sure you guys communicate between locations. I do enough of that with every healthcare and insurance organization I have the misfortune of dealing with in my own life, thanks. If you can't bother to communicate within your own company, then I very much doubt that you care enough to change anything once the complaint actually reaches a real, local person. Come on.

Ever since the upgrades, this 24 Hour Fitness has gone downhill. Multiple machines and pieces of…read moreequipment have been broken for months with no fix in sight. There's zero communication or accountability--every time I ask staff when repairs are coming, they have no idea. Today was the last straw: all the lockers were unusable because the staff didn't have a secondary key, so no one could use lockers at all. That's basic gym functionality, and it completely failed. Overall, the quality of the equipment is terrible, maintenance is nonexistent, and issues just linger indefinitely. Definitely not worth the membership anymore.
