I went to Perspire to kick off my self care week. I had never been here before but it's very close to my house, so figured I'd give it a try before trying other studios similar to this. First things first, Bethany was who greeted me at the front desk. An absolute sweetheart, they picked the right person to welcome guests. She gave me a thorough explanation of the sauna, and what to expect. The studio overall was very CLEAN, if anyone else is a germ-a-phobe like me, it was sanitary to the T. I felt very relaxed and refreshed after my session. Bethany gave me a good breakdown of the packages they had upon leaving, and also suggested a good cold pressed juice to aid with recovery. I got an Instagram deal to try Perspire out for $20. I live within walking distance so decided why not! I was a member of Swethouz for 2.5 years so coming to Perspire was a difference but not by much. Less lighting in the room, less towels, no vitamin C Shower HOWEVER it's much more economical and they have a larger TV for those that need it. I think a drop in is $35 and a membership for 4x's a month is $80 compared to $100+ at Sweathouz. I'm not sure If I will get a membership but I will Drop in a couple times a month. If you're considering a membership, I say Perspire fits the bill at a better rate. You do get 50 minutes though instead of 1 hour, so be mindful of that! I also found the staff a lot nicer! Perfect almost like spa day! It was raining and who wants to workout in the rain but I felt like I had to do something so I came down to perspire. I've heard of sweathouz and hadn't tried it so figured I could book online. The experience was Amazing! Location is prime, off pharr and there's plenty of parking. It was my first time and didn't know what to expect but the customer service was on point. I even came earlier than my 1pm session and they took me right away. Andaya helped me and she gave me the run down as soon as I got in. You have your own room- there are no lockers (not needed since you leave your stuff in the room) and you can watch Netflix or Hulu or like me some YouTube music videos. It was super chill. As for showers they have that too. And you do NOT need to bring your own towels - they have shampoo, towels, everything you need. I'll be back. My husband and I are weekly visitors to Perspire. The staff is friendly and provide a thorough introduction to the sauna room during your first visit. I really enjoy the 50 minutes of detox, solitude, and Netflix and emerge refreshed and ready to take on the world! Water and towels (including a much-needed cold towel) are available. You are also able to shower post-session (they provide everything except shower shoes and shower caps). The Perspire app makes it easy to book a session, especially if there is a room you have grown accustomed to. Perspire also offers a pretty reasonable membership rate as well, especially for families. read more

Well the serenity of this place didn't last long. They should probably consider a new manager at this location. All the other staff here was terrific during my 5 day lasting unlimited membership. However the manager, Bradley, rudely accosted me about my time duration in the sauna studio on Thursday, March 14th. I arrived at opening at 7am and I left at 8:15. It is currently 8:22am as I am sitting here in my vehicle writing this review. Completely absurd to be approached this way. Also note, I had the sauna room booked 7:30am to 8:20am. I arrived early at 7am opening. Nonetheless, I canceled my membership and demanded full refund. Will be checking out the competition down the street. It is what it is. I want to clarify that I did not spend more than an hour in your unclean sauna. During my 75-minute visit to your establishment on March 14th from 7am to 8:15am, I took two showers. The first shower was to cleanse the sweat and dirt off my body after just 5 minutes of sweating in the filthy sauna. I went for the first time on Saturday. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. When I came in I was greeted by a nice young lady. She told me which room to go into to. So when I got in I was slightly confused on how to work it, but then noticed they had basic instructions on the door. I just wished for the first time someone guides you. I like that I can watch TV as I sit. The temp gradually rises after time so it's a nice distraction. You are able to lower the temp if needed. But even still 40 minutes can be a lot so bring water (or a bottle. They have a water machine). And don't be afraid to open the door once in awhile if you need a break. I definitely did. I burned about 300 calories in there! Overall a good experience. I will definitely be back! read more

This place is AWFUL. I booked a session online at Pharr location. It was a $20 special. I paid with my card, and it was successful with going through, however my appointment wasn't listed on the website so I decided to call. I spoke with Simone today, and she stated to come in and bring my receipt, and then she stated well I'm not sure because you may have been here before, and you will have to pay the difference. Making it a total of $49 instead of $20. I told her if that's the case I would like a refund back. She was very inconsiderate. I will never ever visit a perspire. I usually go to Swethouz, but my location is under renovation. I didn't like the way I was treated. Perspire in Pharr road is horrible. The professionalism just isn't there. read more

As soon as you get there, check in with the front desk and you on your way... Each pod has towels and tv in there for you. Received a free session while at the Candler fall festival and was able to use it the next day. My fiancé and I were able to book together to share the room. Upon arrival we were treated with a lot of respect and given a tour of the facility by Jayla. They also had water and fresh juice options near the reception desk. The rooms are perfect and the doors don't lock for safety but they close tightly so no heat escapes. There are TVs in each room and you have your pick of what to watch from Netflix to you youtube and other options. You can get undressed I. The rooms and step right into the sauna. Each sauna can be set to the temperature of your choice and if you want extra properties there are different color light therapy which all have special benefits. We chose purple to relax the kind before cutting all lights off to relax. It was a great experience and Kayla helped us figure out all membership options. Seems like the best would be 4 sessions a month. I will be back to take advantage of them all. read more

I was a skeptic about this place, but after one session I am figuring out which membership to purchase. I will be detailed with my experience, but know that yours will be your when so might be very different than mine. The building is brick painted white with black accents that give it modern look. Actually looks like what I vision for my house update. I have some of the same sconces save in my All Modern favorites. I digress. It is easy to find with Google Maps and has a parking lot with plenty of spaces. When I entered I was greeted with my name. I assume I was the only one with an appointment at the time I walked, but I didn't ask cause it was nice. Later I realize many people as regulars so it being my first time might have made it easy for her to know my name. I was taken on a tour and given the breakdown of what would occur during my sauna session. She was very kind and confirmed that I can adjust the temperature and step out into my room as it is a sauna in its own room. I love the privacy of my experience. Check out my photos so you can see for yourself. There is lots of room for changing and cute places to hold your stuff while you sweat. Yes, it is recommended you are in the sauna in your natural state. I was a little hesitant, but trust me when you start sweating you don't want anything next to you. I'm getting ahead of myself. After my tour I was taken to my room and it was the bigger one that is L shaped. I told her she spoiled me so now it might be hard to downgrade to the bench size. Just kidding, I'll take any of them. She closed the door and let me be. Tip- you should be in the sauna for 40 mins, but they schedule your session for 55 minutes so you have time for changing and etc. Tip- keep your Fitbit or iWatch on so you can use your timer and count calories. Tips- bring flip flops and wear clothes that are loose and easy to put on after lots of sweating. So once I was in my natural state I entered the sauna. The starting temp was 145. They have Chromotherapy lights in the sauna, I didn't know too much about chromotherapy, but they just had an episode of Grey's Anatomy that created a blue room to help calm the doctors an residence down. During the tour, I wish I remembered the name she told me, she suggested changing it half way through. So I started with blue and then went to purple. Check out what those colors do and you can get an idea of how my life is going right now. There is a TV in the room that you can see from the sauna and speaker in the sauna that you can control. They have Netflix and some other viewing options on the TV. Next time I might watch a show but this time I went with the scenes of nature and calming music. They give you three towels. Two hand towels and one larger one. There are a cushion and wood thing for you to relax on but I never leaned back but I eventually spread out the towel and laid down. One thing she didn't show me in the tour but I ended up using was the stretches guide, see picture. This is why I said wear your watch. I set a timer for 20 seconds and did each stretch. It helped pass the time so much that I did them again but set my timer for 30 seconds. When I had 15 minutes left I needed some air so I opened the door and stepped out. I was pretty proud of myself for laying that long in the heat as I rarely can last 5 minutes in a regular sauna. I took some breaths and stepped back in. Then I did that every three minutes until it was down to five minutes. With 5 minutes left I set a timer and laid down. If I hadn't set my timer I might not have known to get up and dry off cause there wasn't anything that happened to let me know my sessions was over. I wish a bell went off or something or I would have been in there way too long and someone was booked for my sauna so they needed time to clean it. Tip for owners- I am a curvy lady who fits into regular American store sizes and the larger towel barely fit around me so when I needed to run to the restroom at the end of my session I was showing a little upper leg. It was a surprisingly great experience so I will be advocating for it by telling peeps about it and I will be back for more. read more

Visited Monday for a little self-date! The privacy of the space is really great and 50 minutes is ample amount of time to get your sauna vibe started. Overall enjoyed my visit & I plan on returning to hopefully increase my review. The customer service isn't super genuine I definitely got the vibe that they get commission and i understand it's a business but I really dislike feeling like I'm being sold to. I also think they should offer a 30 minute session because 50 minutes in 150 degrees is intense! When I gently mentioned that to the manager he said "well you're more than welcome to leave after 30 minutes" but obviously if I paid for 50 minutes I'm staying for 50 minutes lol. Weird vibe. If you are looking for a space to relax while also sweating a little, this is the place for you. I'm a big fan of regular saunas so I was interested to see what an infrared sauna was all about. When you first enter, you are greeted at the front desk and because it was my first time I had to sign a waiver. They then gave me a tour of the facility and showed me how to work my room. Outside of the rooms they have a towel drop (for when you're done), bathrooms and showers/changing rooms. Once in side your room, there is a sliding door for you to close once your session starts, a TV, speakers and various signs letting you know what the colors in the sauna mean as well as how the flow of your session with work. This is also all told to you by the workers before you start. Inside the sauna there is a floor towel, body towel and neck towel for use. You can set your sauna to your preferred start temperature but the temperature does rise as your session goes on. There is a timer within the sauna that you set so that you are not constantly worried about time. They have a TV with YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu etc. that you can utilize during your time in the sauna. You can also leave the sauna as you please if you are getting too hot or need a break. You have the room completely to yourself so you can get very comfortable and feel super relaxed. It is recommended that you have a bottle of water and wear loose clothing to your session. Both of which I can definitely see why they recommend. Really great experience and I left feeling super relaxed. Will definitely be returning. Extras: * there is a free parking lot in front of the building * they do provide towels for your session but if you're going to shower, you probably need to bring your own * I had a 16 oz water bottle, I would recommend a larger size UPDATE 2/1/2022: Changing from 5/5 to 3/5 stars because I still think that the experience itself was great but the customer service is SEVERELY lacking. And when you have a place like this where you're paying for the experience, customer service is a part of that experience. After my first visit, I bought one of their passes so that I could continue return. When trying to book my next visit online, those passes were not showing up on my account. I called the store and spoke to Michael who seemed busy and told me to send an email detailing what was going on. I did so and he got back to me today. He told me that there had been a mishap in the system and that my passes had gone to another customer with the same name. How this happens when you verified my telephone number when I was purchasing the passes? I don't know. Personally I feel like when you have people spending any amount of money with you (especially $100+) you need to be more weary about that kind of thing. Anyway, upon finding out that my passes had gone to the wrong person he offered to refund and repurchase the passes for me. I was honestly turned off and asked if he could just give me the refund and not repurchase the passes. I guess this rubbed him the wrong way because he immediately cuts me off mid question and tells me that he'll just transfer the passes from the other account to mine so that no refund has to be done. Why he wouldn't just do this process before calling me and telling me it couldn't be done, again I don't know. Anyway I will be using my passes quickly and not renewing after that. Possibly will try one of the other locations as like I said I still think that the experience itself was a great one. read more

Each color light supposed to have different effect on you and maybe it does, maybe it don't. I don't know. I noticed if you are not in the seat directly in front of the tv then you have to lean forward and that became uncomfortable. I was very excited to see an infrared sauna studio open up in Atlanta! I booked through Classpass, making it a nice addition to my wellness routine. The heat is really different from typical saunas due to the infrared, and I really didn't fully work up a sweat until the second half of the session, and then it was like the floodgates opened. I felt great and like I could have stayed in there much longer than 40 minutes! The doors stay unlocked for safety reasons, so that is the only unsettling part but it makes sense. They provide plenty of towels for you to sit comfortably in the sauna, and I felt that the studio was very clean with a sleek aesthetic. I enjoyed watching an episode on Netflix during my sauna. Make sure to bring your water bottle so you can refill with filtered water from their fountain, but it looks like they sell a few different types of water, make up wipes, etc. if you forget. The parking lot seems like it could get a little busy, but it is awesome to have free parking in that area of Buckhead. I will definitely come back whenever I feel like I need to treat myself to a good sweat. read more

I was anxiously awaiting the opening of Perspire and am thrilled that I got to go try it. This has become my most favorite self care activity! They have an easy appointment booking system through their app, open 7 days a week, and 11 private saunas available every hour. I've met several different staff members and they're all very friendly. I find myself very at home each time I come. The saunas are clean and comfortable. Each room has a smart tv connected to pandora, Netflix, and Hulu. I look forward to my 40 minutes of me time, watch an episode of a favorite show while sweating out toxins, I leave feeling like I've had a great workout. The cool eucalyptus face towel waiting for you at the end is always the perfect refreshment. They are not joking when they tell you to hydrate and wear loose clothing. Drink drink drink! Also, getting dressed after getting so sweaty is always a bit of a challenge, so take note! They could offer a few more amenities like makeup remover and extra towels, as these are only available for a fee. But knowing the routine I just come more prepared with a water thermos, extra towel, and take the time to wash my face before starting. I hope they stay around for a very long time! read more

The saunas are great and have several different colors of light you can choose from. You can watch Netflix, Hulu or listen to Pandora while you are in them and they have free Wi-Fi as well. Atlanta finally got something that is truly amazing for the wellness community! Perspire Sauna Studio offers 11 private infrared saunas with TVs and chromotherapy lights. I love that I can enjoy the sauna by myself or with a friend, while watching TV or listening to music. This isn't like my gym sauna. There, I'm in a dark room with other people and cannot stand the heat (because I cannot breathe) for more than 10 minutes. It's stifling. At Perspire, I could breathe easily and my sweat session was 40 minutes long. The studio is beautiful, it has a great retail space, and the staff are nice. I'll definitely be back! read more

The East Cobb location fraudulently charged my wife's debit card for a session after she bought a coconut water. Apparently they kept her card number and charged it. When we called to question the transaction, the "Regional Manager," Jeramy Butler tried to tell us that we asked them charge us for a session. I found this very strange, since we had already booked the sessions through ClassPass. I explained this to him and he said he would work on a resolution and get back to us. He has since gone dark and we will be leaving reviews like this instead and not going back. I don't think it's worth my time or $$ to take legal action, but I hope he feels stealing $20 was worth the bad press. 0 Stars. I would highly NOT recommend. I wish the tv volume was set to a louder volume in each room, because it's a pain to get in the sauna and realize you cannot hear the tv. My friend and I had mixed feelings about this Suana. We did the week pass for $49.99 per person to see if we wanted to commit to a full month membership, I will break it down day by day that I/we went. First Day: We did a sauna session together and both had to register for the week membership, no big deal. We were told over the phone when you get there just say you would like to share the suana session with someone. When we got to the studio, the response was a bit different, with the staff member checking us in and making it come across that it was a litte unusual for people to share a suana session. We chalked it up to be a miscommunication between staff members. Our session together was pretty intense since we came straight from a spinning class and we didn't get too much working out done in the sauna during this this session. Both of us were wiped out and wanted to nap afterwards. Second Day: We came to the studio for another shared suana and we got the same response of unhappiness/awkwardness that we were sharing a suana session even though they said they allow it. The suana session itself went better this time since we understood how the light setting worked and weren't worn out going into it. We walked away wiped out, but more hungry than sleepy. Third Day: I went alone and this time the staff seemed a lot more friendly, maybe since it was a Monday and I was alone. I got some good working out in and really enjoyed my experience. I walked away tired but able to go on with my day as normal. Fourth/Final Day: We came together again and the staff this day were more friendly about us sharing a suana session. We got some pretty good working out done and really enjoy our experience this time. The Only issue we had was the lights went out in our suana room while we drying off. We got a bit tired but not enough to skip a spin class afterwards. Overall, I walked away not wanting to do the suana studio again based on mixed feeling on the days I went. The month membership deal is $149.99 per person for unlimited session but that's the most cost efficient one and you really would need to go at least 15-20 per month for it make sense. The staff really needs to work on being more friendly to customers because that was the largest factor of why we decided not to go for the monthly membership-- the day I went by myself was great and the days with my friend, it didn't feel so friendly from the people working there. Also, if it's such an issue for two or more people to share a suana session when each person pays why just not allow it. Additionally, if the studio wants to continue allowing shared sessions, there should be a way to book it on their app instead of having to call/doing it in person. The cancellation policy is also kind of an issue in my book, since you are paying for a membership and run the risk of getting charged a fee if you can't make it to a session. It would also help a lot if there was a clear description of the size/shape the sauna rooms are since they vary in shape and size which is a large factor of what type of work out you could get in. PS. This sauna studio seems to be the only one in the Buckhead/Atlanta area which isn't the best thing since they don't have any neighboring competition, so it makes you have to go out the area or go here. The pricing is kind of high for people on a more strict budget, and the sessions are a bit limited on the weekends, so for busy people, it might not work. The sessions also can feel a bit short, by the time to step in the sauna to when you need to step out to dry off. read more

The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is a lack of consistency in heating on some of the saunas. My experience today at the buckhead location was trash! I normally have no issues but today was a problem. The sauna normally heats up in a timely matter but today it didn't. So I spoke to the receptionist Asia about my problem and she said there would be compensation on my visit today because the sauna wouldn't heat up correctly. I suggested to move to another room but the other rooms weren't available besides one which was on similar temp. I exited my session early because I wasn't pleased and was going to come back another time and as I went to the front desk to speak with Asia she said her manager Sarah told her there's nothing they can do for me and will be no compensation. For a client who has came over 20 times that customer service was unprofessional. I work very hard for my money and for her to tell me that wasn't right!!! I hope someone reads this and changes those rules. read more

My Perspire sauna experience was amazing. I love saunas, but had only experienced traditional ones. The bonus of being able to watch a movie while in the sauna is perfect. .feel great this morning...more flexibility. . My first time visiting this place, and it was nice and cool, I love to be in a sauna so I did get what I needed out of it. However, what I dozn't like about it is that it's not so convenient in my opinion. The shower is outside of your room, so you would literally have to get fully dressed dirty/sweaty, to go to the shower and then undress to shower then dress back up to leave. I'm used to going to SweatHouz and they have a shower built in your room so you get to do everything in your own private room/studio. With perspire too, they only give you 1 large towel, so if you have your session and want to shower, you either have to get fully dressed OR use your sweaty towel to cover up to walk outside of your room to shower. Which I didn't and didn't want to, because I knew there was a chance someone would see me.. and as soon as I walked out my room to walk to the shower in my towel there was a man right there and also they have the doors to the place wide open where people park their cars so they could see all inside. Sweathouz has a stand with extra towels, makeup wipes (which I had to also get outside of the room), the ipad (to play music on, like meditation music), a trashcan... etc. The things that this place didn't have already in the room. I would prefer all of that over a tv. For me, a place like the sauna is to get away from technology and decompress, so for them have a nice size tv in the room is a no for me. We know tv is programming. I don't want to look at no tv. Music, sound is more internal that watching tv while trying to detox mentally and spiritually and not just physically. Also the sauna, I was in (studio 1), if you look around it... it's not clean. There are old spider webs/dust all in the cracks.... it's dirty. At sweathouz I've never seen anything like that. What I do like about the place is that the customer service is great, and that if you do get a membership the sessions roll over up to 90 days I believe, and they make it convenient if you are not able to do your sessions all in one month because of unexpected travel etc. Whereas Sweathouz doesn't do from their terms when I had a membership and go booked on a job out of town or had to travel out of town to visit family. read more
