Mini alfajor on the house because they were out of the real dessert!
Jennifer R.

Service was great. Some things came out fast & others took much longer than I thought they should (cold seafood dish). Overall, I do think it's a bit overpriced but looking forward to coming back & trying more. The Causa de Pollo is just as good as I had in Peru! I'm not always the biggest chicken fan but this is the place to eat it! If you like mulled wine, you'll like their chicha morada! It's honestly the only Peruvian place I have found authentic things like that drink, anticuchos (beef heart skewers...trust me), papas a La huacaina, salchipapas, ect. Wasn't crazy about the mussels...bit overcooked & plain. The chips & salsa are better than at most Mexican restaurants to be honest. Will return!

First off, great service! I was there to place a to-go order and the staff was top notch. They asked if I wanted a drink while I was waiting and didn't rush me to place an order. I ordered the 1/4 chicken with plaintains. The food was delicious. This is a small restaurant with seating inside and a bar. It was quiet but still fairly early when I went in. This is a great peruvian choice up near Sawmill.

Tilapia Fish Taco on corn tortilla with refried beans

I have decided I love fried yucca. It tasted kinda like Chinese yam...and that's medicinal so...by transitive property, yucca must be good for me too :) I love fish tacos! Would have liked a little spice with it tho :/ Did they not give it to me bc I looked weak :'( Service was very attentive! I was also a big fan of what the restaurant had playing on the TVs: prostate medication ads and MMA reruns

Excellent margaritas!!!

OVERALL 5 STAR RATING, with 22 of 25 being 5*s - what else do I need to say...?!? We dined here again. Same experience - awesome drinks and food, friendly service, good prices, completely 100% satisfied. OMG, you will increase the happiness in your life if you order a whole grilled chicken, fried rice (trust me), bacon beans, and the light green sauce (I think it's creamed jalapenos). I love their Jalapeno Margarita - not too spicy, just right, super flavorful. She likes the Perfect Margarita. Folks, this is a gem. Small, family-owned, and the clearly care. Go, just go... you'll thank me. And you'll probably see us there.

1/4 Charcoal Broiled Chicken with 2 Sides

OMG, this place was delicious! I had their 1/4 chicken with 2 sides and it was only $11. It felt like the portions were just the right size too - not too much but not too little. The chicken itself is packed with so much flavor. I paired it with sweet plantains and fried rice but there are other options you can choose from. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. She kept checking in on us and removing plates as we finished up. She also offered us hot sauce for our food. She definitely went above & beyond to ensure we were good! The restaurant itself is pretty cute. They have decorations all around the walls. They were also playing music but it wasn't super loud, just the right amount of background noise but I could still hear the person I was with. Worth checking out for sure!

I hope everyone gives this new Peruvian restaurant a try and support our mom and pop businesses. Such wonderful owners and such a warm and friendly environment, and plenty of good authentic Peruvian food. We got their charbroiled chicken with sweet plantains (delicious) and another one of their authentic beef dishes (I can't recall the name but it was pretty good). The chicken was fall of the bone and worked really well with a dip accompaniment. Their margaritas are to die for. So I do plan to try their Mexican selection sometime soon. Our server was very friendly and chatted with us for a long time after the meal, patiently describing Peru, their food and culture.

I stopped by the Peru Taco Bar, in a modest Dublin strip mall. Surprisingly, this place has waiter service and my server was fast and friendly. We began with free chips and salsa. Chips and tacos are very much not Peruvian, but I couldn't say no. My meal was the lomo saltado with beef and it was excellent. The beef and vegetables were grilled perfectly and served with a delicious sauce. I know how hard it is to find decent ethnic food in Columbus, so I'm so glad Peru Taco is open. If only we could do something about that name...

Jennifer R.

I wanted to love this place and, based on the reviews, I really thought I was going to. Maybe it was just an off day? To be fair...I do think when you call yourself a taco bar, the tacos should be really solid. Chips and homemade salsa were great. Taco and enchilada were not. Really thin, watery texture on the refried beans. Dark meat chicken in the enchilada, which is unappealing to me personally. Taco was really light on toppings of cheese or lettuce (no tomatoes). I did not try any of the Peruvian menu items. This is probably where they shine. Service was friendly and I still encourage others to check out this new restaurant. It is located right next door in the David's Bridal shopping plaza. (signage is easy to miss)

Combo Inca

This place is only a half mile from my girl's place and it kept popping up so thought we'd try it out. First glance....eh...it ain't exactly pretty. Not really in the best part of town to catch a lot of people. It's also not exactly fancy on the inside. Design is kind of neat and it is certainly clean. It's also pretty small. None of these things bother me. Almost prefer it as it may keep people out and I'm selfish. Chips and salsa came out fast. Chips are made in house and come out hot. Salsa is definitely made in house. I didn't ask, but it's not like anything I've had around town. It. Is. Delicious. This might be my favorite in Columbus now. Fresh chips and that salsa almost filled me up before my dinner! Combo Indica which is the Lomo Saltado with Peruvian fried rice. This just absolutely knocked me on my ass it was so good. Girlfriend tried it and agreed it was incredible. Onions, tomatoes, and beef cooked perfectly and the seasoning and sauce are out of this world. I definitely got some cinnamon and maaaaaybe even a bit of chocolate? But absolutely not like that Skyline dumpster fire. Little bit sweet and very savory. Nothing like anything I've had before. Would absolutely love to have every day for the rest of my life. Oddly, I tried to tell the guy serving us how great my food was twice and he did not care at all. Just said thanks and walked off. Not going to rate negatively about that, but it was certainly odd. All that and didn't even get to the fried rice yet. Also damn delicious. Just a bit different taste than the fried rice we're all use to, but so good. Added their cilantro based "hot sauce," to it which was also delicious. I planned to take the rice home as I didn't want to eat it (had too much junk today already), but I couldn't stop myself and finished all of it. So why 4 stars? Service was meeeeh. Very slow to come ask our drink order, never got water, took awhile to get the drinks even though there was only 8 other people in the restaurant. Dishes weren't taken after they were finished with a staff member leaning back on the bar playing on her phone literally at my 12 o'clock. Also had empty drink for about 15 minutes during this time. Honestly was just waiting for her to notice and ask just to see how long it would take. She never actually offered me another drink, I had to ask. Appears only one person in the restaurant spoke English so you'll have to be a little patient with that. The drink prices aren't hole in the wall cheap either. Captain and diet was $9 and a jumbo margarita that was delicious, but filled to the brim with ice was $14. I could probably knock the whole thing out in a few seconds if I was trying. Absolutely delicious food, but not sure I'll be back anytime soon because of the service.

We were excited to see a Peruvian restaurant open! There's plenty of parking outside and space inside for small groups, families, or casual dates! Bring your friends, family, and everyone in between. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and we sat ourselves. Our server gave us water, tortilla chips, and fresh tomato salsa very quickly. We were pleasantly surprised at the free chips and dip, we ended up finishing two baskets of chips. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious and everything we ended up ordering was fantastic! Our server and service was incredible, attentive, quick, and super friendly. We appreciated the attentiveness and kindness for our first time. We got the Pollo Parrillero with a side of fries and sweet plantains and the Crazy Trio. Everything was juicy, delicious, seasoned very well, and cooked perfectly! The Pollo Parrillero was my absolute favorite and it was delicious. Our server recommended the sweet plantains and I loved every bite. I have slight regret about getting fries because I was under pressure, but happily will come back to try other dishes and sides. We recommend the Crazy Trio because you get a little bit of everything: chicken, beef, and shrimp and it was incredible. Our server also gave us the house sauces and those were so good and paired well with the entrees. We spent about $41 for 2 before tip, which is a bit expensive, but they do have lunch specials that are probably a bit more budget friendly. We highly highly recommend and will be coming back asap. Great place for delicious, authentic, and super delicious food, yum!

Regular and jalapeño margaritas

Was in the area so I checked other Yelp reviews. I would have passed over this place had it not been for the reviews. Decided to try them out. Despite what a few reviews posted our service was prompt and attentive. We had 3 different people who constantly kept checking on us. The drinks were served quick and our food was ready soon after. Margaritas was not a mix we watched him prepare them. Food was served hot with great flavor. Chips and salsa were great not jarred but fresh. Shrimp was cooked perfectly not rubbery and chewy. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Guacamole

Im not proud about it, but on many a Friday night I get an uncontolled desire to wreck myself with Chips, salsa, guac and Margaritas. Cuco's is about the only place we leave room for having some food with all of that. The craving hit... but hubbie wanted something more. something New. Enter Yelp! and ...Peruvian cuisine!! BINGO!! Its done well! Excellent attentive service. Great dishes. Killer Margs, chips, salsa and guac.... but Also Amazing chicken, so much umami in the rice, and then DESSERT! Crunchy churros... and was that ice cresm homemade or did it just taste like it? dont skip the cookies eithor .... worth the extra time in the gym. Gotta go back soon! Its a small place, but cozy. Comfortable... and no Mariachi music dancing in my hangover. just sayin... only order the big Margs if you are trained for it.

Charcoal roasted chicken
Tim L.

Excellent little hole in the wall spot for delicious Peruvian chicken, rice, beans and CEVICHE...Peruvian chicken is slow roasted over charcoal and the flavor is "da bomb dot com". Enjoy all the sauces as well...a slightly spicy green cilantro sauce is my favorite...I literally could drink it or use it as an awesome salad dressing as well. Anyways the menu is straightforward, simple and delicious. I don't really like giving 5 stars because once the word is out everybody goes and this small place can get crowded quick...but the Peruvian flavors will keep you coming back, guaranteed.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed all the plants: some were hanging and many were near the windows throughout the whole place. They were real and very healthy. Someone who works here must have a green thumb. There were many tables and chairs, a long bar and a separate area for private parties. There is a QR code to order at our table but I ordered from the bar because it was not too busy. My bartender was very friendly. She acknowledged me right away, and came to take my order as soon as she could. I ordered the margarita but all the cocktails looked so good. The decor behind the bar was beautiful! It was a long picture of a runway with a plane taking off. There were also airplane windows that were so cute and went with the whole airport theme. I came up later to order shots for our table. The same bartender once again helped me find the right shot for my friends . I also tried the Kitty Paw hard Steltzer drink. It was refreshing and I loved the hint of Guava. The whole place wasn't too loud. We could carry on our conversations without shouting. They had an etagere near our table full of board and card games. My friends grabbed the Truth or Fear game.
