    Shrimp & Pasta

We were seated right away, on the patio. Constant traffic noise, but there was a grassy area and some trees between the patio and the road so it wasn't awful. They brought us chips and salsa right away, and when we ordered guacamole that came out quickly. I really like their salsa - tastes like cumin, "spicy" but not hot. The chips and guacamole are fine, nothing special there. I ordered the pasta and shrimp, my husband went with the Ropa vieja. Both were fine... the shrimp were large and the pasta was loaded with veggies and came with a huge hunk of bread to soak up the sauce when my pasta was gone.

This Latin fusion grill is hidden right off Cemetery Road, across from the moo moo car wash. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a full bar. We came in about 6:00pm on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated immediately. Francesca provided great service and smile every time she checked on us. I had a wonderful raspberry margarita on the rocks. Very tasty! The salsa provided with the tortilla chips was superb. I see why the bowl is so small that they provide. It has a nice aroma with a tiny kick of heat. We may have had our salsa bowl refilled 3 times! I also got the queso which was $6.50 for the same size portion bowl as the salsa. Our food came out in less than 20 minutes. My entree was the Chicken Enchiladas. Everything tasted fresh! The enchiladas didn't have much meat inside but they gave you three in total which makes up for that. Entree included black beans and white rice. I have to honestly say, the enchiladas wasn't my favorite. I must come back to try more food or even more margaritas see if it's really a nice find. Regardless this a clean, prompt service restaurant. I just need to find a favorite dish!

They make their own hot sauce with Talita's recipe, and her son is the owner. He took good care of us during our visit. They also have a mission statement posted by the door. I love that Talita's is about more than a quick bite. I would describe the atmosphere as "break room", but I was charmed by the owner and his OSU and military memorabilia. About $24 for 2 meals felt like a good deal too!

I tried for 10 minutes to order online and after it not working called the restaurant. I ordered a chicken fajita Quesadilla, chips and cheese dip. I was a little disappointed with the chips, which I tried on my drive home. I had fasted for 22 hours, I can't believe any food was disappointing. They just didn't taste fresh and they were really oily. I was excited for the quesadilla. It came with beans, rice, lettuce and sour cream. This is the item I order from my favorite Mexican restaurant in Wapakoneta and I figured this would be similar. It was not very good. There was maybe a teaspoon of beans, but it was so liquidy, it was hard to tell. The rice was good and I'm not a big fan of rice. The quesadilla was just a soggy mess. I ate a little out of the inside but not much. I ended up just throwing it away and having some cereal for dinner. And something minor, though I found annoying. When they gave me my receipt to sign, they had circled Tip several times with a black pen. I always tip, even on carry out orders but I found the circling of it annoying. So much so, I almost didn't tip. I doubt I'll be back to this location because the food just wasn't very good which is disappointing.

Chips and salsa - I thought these were pretty standard and the salsa tastes like something you could buy at the grocery store. Steak fajitas - these were pretty decent considering we were so far away from Mexico and Texas where Mexico food is usually much better. The atmosphere here is really festive and location is fairly convenient so maybe that's why this restaurant is so dang popular. My colleague also enjoyed his meal so that made things go well during the visit.

The restaurant looked like it had many rooms though so there could have been a few tables per room. Our waiter was prompt and got us taken care of right away. The menu did not have as many choices as other Mexican places. It had enchiladas, fajitas, tacos and burritos and chimichangas. I think they are known for their sauces. They had a lot of sauces from mild to spicy. The menu only had a front and back side and did not have what I was craving: Carne Asada. Most Mexican places have a menu with pages that flip. I was on a strict diet and it was hard to find something healthy. I got the fajita steak salad. I asked for dressing on the side and no cheese. My son and husband both got the Chuychanga which is their fried burrito. We also got an order of cheese dip. My salad came out with cheese in it...boo...but I picked it off. It did not look appealing but I was pleasantly surprised! Let me tell you that it was delicious!!! The dressing was so delicious as well, but the salad didn't need dressing. The steak was flavorful and I almost ate the whole thing. I also added the Fresca salsa as suggested by our waiter. I'm actually craving it right now! It's something I would order whether I'm on or off my diet. My husband and son loved their chimichangas or as it was called "Chuychangas". It wasn't as good as the one we had in Tucson but it was really good! Cheese dip was just ok, nothing to brag about. Our waiter was so good, quick and helpful. The steak was low quality and sliced up in a way that made it feel chewed up, and was lukewarm. The flavor was bad and i didn't come close to finishing. The rice and beans were also pretty weak. I did not complain, but definitely didn't finish. This was terrible food, and wildly overpriced for the quality.
