Here's what's good about this place and why you should give it a try. They have a nice historic-looking building with a large bar and 2 big TV's to watch the game or whatever may be on. The front windows face the city park overlooking the marina and Lake Michigan... pretty nice view! The food was hit and miss. The Rueben and onion rings were a hit. Everything about them was good... portion size, temperature and taste. The French Onion Soup (though looked great) was a big let down. Mainly because the base was pretty tasteless. Even with the baked cheese and crouton top along with ample onions, the soup itself tasted very watery. Why the rating is so low is because however, is because of the lack of service from the bartender. I know things are kind of upside down right now in the service industry and they seemed a little short staffed, so I totally understand how long it took to get my food. But the lack of attention from the bartender was unexceptionable. She literally took orders, made drinks and then would go back to the corner of the bar and text on her phone. She also had her computer open! There were a total of 4 people at the bar, and there was a time that 3 of us had empty drinks while she typed away, unaware of any of her customers. There was another guy at the bar who tried to asker a question about the history of the building. Her response was "I don't know, ask the waitress"! I spent about an hour eating at the bar and maybe got 15 words from the bartender.... "Are you reddy to order", "can I get you anything else" and "are you ready for your check". Not one smile, thank you or any other confirmation of appreciation for my business. Poor restaurant owner, I know times are tough.... But this employee has made this place a flat out, no return for me.

Tried the bangers and mash, it was very mediocre. Very cool atmosphere and decent service.

Excellent food and drink. The Reuben is a must. Staff good. Occasionally have to wait half hour plus for your food, but well worth it.

Always a good place to stop and eat, prime rib is amazing. Very friendly people. They have both outdoor and indoor seating.

My favorite place in town. Love what's on tap and my kind of people attend. I think the view of the marina is outstanding.

Amazing wings and good beer selection. Good service and good location. You can pick something up and eat at the park across the street.

I hear that this is one of very few places that show non-Packers football. Can anyone verify, are there other area bars that have an NFL package?

This place has a Bed & Breakfast vibe. Breakfast was good, they'll make an omelette for you, but the breakfast hours are only 7-9am. It's weird they don't have someone working 24/7 like usual hotels. There's also no ice machine. You have to go to the bar and ask. The bar is nice. Lots of regulars so it's been busy. The place is right on the water and within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. It's also smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. It's a little 'old' but the vibes and character are cool. The stained glass windows in the restaurant are awesome. Restaurant was just OK. Both of our meals (my husband and I) were fine. We don't plan to eat there again. Thanks for a nice stay from us Nebraskans!

Sat right on the lake, with a massive lawn, fire pit, and menu full of plenty of food from wraps and apps to burgers, nachos, and wings. It was a lovely night so we sat outside. People around us were playing provided yard games like bags and giant guess who, adding to the great atmosphere. We didn't come for food perse, but did get a few things for our hungry kiddos. The tenders were yummy and my youngests devoured the mac and cheese. I opted for a margarita. Though I have to say it wasn't the most enjoyable, as it was definitely made from one of those pre-mixes that is beyond sweet and syrupy. I didn't finish it. Instead, swapped to joining everyone else on having a beer. Can't go wrong with Yuengling on tap. All in all, great ambiance and would certainly return.

For $25-ish a plate, I'd expect more. **NOT SAFE FOR GLUTEN INTOLERANT PEOPLE.** We had a member of our party who cannot eat gluten and who asked the server to make sure their food was prepared gluten free. Their plate arrived at the table with rye bread on it. They didn't feel like they could ask for the plate to be remade because the place was so chaotic and had to eat carefully around the bread. Despite this, they still felt ill afterwards - likely due to cross contamination in the kitchen. When we asked someone about this, they literally told us it wasn't worth the money to offer gluten free options and couldn't guarantee how things were cooked. Honestly, I'm not sure how this place can get away with this excuse with hundreds of guests every night... yet somehow the concept of gluten free is not on their radar. Very frustrating.
