He correctly identified all the problem areas and alleviated a lot of my stress by giving me the clear no pressure options for treatment. We decided to go with his company for this treatment, not just because his pricing was very competitive with others, but because when I call the number, I speak directly to him ... not some call center. I wish the previous owners of this house had treated for termites years ago. We have to replace the main beam in the basement ($6,000) and who knows what other damage they've done to the sills around the perimeter. I definitely recommend you call Kevin and get a termite inspection done. The only reason I found them was from doing some serious demolition of the basement ceilings and walls. He'll be able to identify termites and possibly save you thousands in repairs if you treat it early. I also like that he doesn't work with the termite baits. I don't want to pay someone to come pound sticks into the ground and hope the termites find the bait. He feels the same way, and assured me that Termidor is the most effective method to eliminate the colonie(s). And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. And since Mass Bay completed their work, no mice! In terms of value, the price was in the 3 figures. What would you pay for peace of mind? Mass Bay's options and pricing seemed fair and I will consider setting up a yearly contract with them, again for that peace of mind. I also learned quite a bit about mice in general, which was a nice add. I like when people geek out about their work, it's a good sign of happy employees. Happy employees do excellent work. They were supposed to come once a month to check for pests and deal with them. Unfortunately, they do not seem to have enough techs to service all their customers. They "cancelled" the second monthly service without informing us. When we asked when they would be out to spray for ants they said we were not covered for ants. This is not what we were told when we spoke to the salesman. For $175 a month you would expect the most destructive pest would be covered. I can't recommend this company.
