The best bear guys were walking around the neighborhood trying to sell services and knocked on my door. The salesman told me that my pest control company was doing a terrible job and he would like to earn my business... the funny thing is, PestBear was already my pest company. He said he would get some one out to fix it right away... Then I had ants and cockroaches... they came out to fix that... guys who still has ants... ME. Not to mention the potroast size hornets nest growling on my balcony. They tried to win me over on lawn services too... the sales person of course told me everything I wanted to hear to sell me on services while the tech that came out basically told me he blew smoke up my rear. Beware! I would never recommend this company. They completely killed my grass and two of my bushes, and I even caught them on my security camera pretending to treat my yard but not actually doing the work. When I contacted management, they promised to replace the bushes and make my yard a priority -- but they never followed through. After that, they became a no-call, no-show. When I finally got in touch again, they told me I'd have to wait weeks to get back on the schedule because they were "short staffed." This company has been reported to the FTC and the Attorney General for credit card fraud and deceptive sales tactics. I highly recommend all other victims do the same to hold this company accountable. If they keep coming onto your property after you've canceled your services, call your local police department to get them trespassed. I was solicited by Pest Bear and was promised results. 6-9 months had gone by and my lawn looked worse so I had a manager come out and was told that they don't use weed killer, instead they just fertilizer, which also fertilizes the weeds. So, they had just been feeding my weeds. I told them I no longer want lawn treatment. Next month comes around and I catch them in my yard doing lawn treatment, I explained to them that I fired them for lawn treatment. This happened 6 times over and over again with the next 2 months, I had to explain to every technician every time and they all told they me they would let the office know. I catch another technician trying to do lawn treatment a few days ago and I explained everything to him for the 7th time. The next morning they charged my credit card. This company is conducting business in an illegal manner and needs to be held accountable. On top of the illegal activity, they have terrible customer service. They show up whenever they feel like it and don't even tell you. Pest Bear also offers compensation for people to leave positive reviews. Unfortunate choice on my part. Many of the yards they do look great. Mine does not. My back yard is a mess mostly due to lack of attention. I had them for 10 Months. The last 8 months thy just never showed up on time. I spent over 10 hours over the phone just to get my yard serviced. so I would be told they are due to arrive on the 8th, I would wait til the 12th, call again and they would tell me the 15th - then not show until the 23rd. At some point they skipped all of July and August, let a fungus continue in the yard until I treated it myself. In the end - I asked for a manager to call me back -after 48 hours and no call - I called to cancel my service. - It was like I never called. No record, nothing. For $1,200+ per year - I should not have to try and schedule service. Now they tell me a regional manager will call immediately after I hang up. Apart from that, the technicians do not arrive for appointments on time, if at all, and if a technician actually comes to your property they will complete perhaps 1/4 of the task and leave within five to ten minutes. I have made complaints after the person treating my lawn personally called me an said I'm sorry but we are not only killing your weeds but we are killing your grass as they were. I started service not long after I built my house in 2007( Was Security Pest then). In that time many competitors knock on my door and tell me how they are servicing my neighbors and can they give me a quote. I've bragged about how good Pest Bear is. Unfortunately that has changed. I've been a customer longer than half of the company's existence and it is over. Over the past many months (almost a year) I have verbally told technicians about the white footed ants invading my house. They have constantly downplayed it. This last time (a month or more ago), the technician seemed to finally listen. He did some stuff and said he would be back in two weeks with his boss. Two weeks came and went with no word, while the ants still appeared all over my house. I called last week twice trying to get help. I was told a manager would call me. No one did. I called this morning and calmly asked to either speak to a manager or cancel my service. After holding for several minutes and listening to all of the quality commitments that I'm not getting, I was told again no manager is available, but one would call me back. Sorry, but I tried that. When asked to cancel my service, I was told a manager must do that so I cannot cancel right now. That's not how it works in America. I've formally notified them of cancelation through posting this same note to their web site, since I have no other way of memorializing this communication (they don't seem to have a customer service email). I'm memorializing it here in case they try to stick to their, "you can't cancel without talking to a manager, who will never talk to you" policy. read more

Scam company. Signed up for quarterly spraying, they talk you into auto debit for a cheaper price. After a while they start showing up monthly instead of quarterly and banging your bank account each time. 1 tech(not even the one assigned to our acct, showed up in a literal hurricane and did a half ass spraying in the pouring rain, then he showed up the next month, put up a yard sign, door tag, straightend his hoses and left. I called him and he proceeded to ramble some services, sorry my dude, but we have 360 cameras that showed your entire 3-4 minute visit and you did not spray. It's near impossible to cancel your service as no one answers the phones or emails. read more

terrible company. We had them seal up our roof because we had rats in the roof. They did a terrible job, 4 months after sealing the roof the rats were still getting in. They came back ( different person this time) found the problem and agreed the last person had done a terrible job, which I had paid about $1000 for! Then 6 months after that had my dryer vent cleaned and found out they had sealed the vent too, which is a huge fire risk. Pest Bear is a SCAM. We have been customers of Pest Bear for over 3 years for 2 separate properties. When we were sold the plan for our first property we opted for pest, subterranean, and dry wood termite treatment coverage. We added a 2nd property which the salesman told us would be covered with the same plan. For over three years we made our quarterly payments and rarely ever called in for service. I would notice over the 3 years Pest Bear would raise our quarterly payments without notice or authorization and charge my credit card. I would have to call them and they would then move the payment back down. That is a shady practice and I had to start asking them to send me an invoice anytime they charged my card. For over 3 years Pest Bear has never once seen termite activity in the stations according to them...Unless I called them out when I saw termites. When I was sold the service they assured me a termite specialist would come out once or twice a year to inspect the attic/crawlspace to make sure we did not have termites. They essentially want you to pay and never want to treat you. Well, 3 years later we had a termite infestation at our property due to their negligence. I called them up and they sent out a gentleman named Scott who said I was not covered for this termite treatment and it would be $3,800 to fumigate the house to get rid of the infestation. I then called management who had no idea what was going on. They could not furnish the contracts I signed when I started service and told me it was my word vs theirs. Oran Came out to the house and offered to take care of this for me.... Spot treatments of borax in parts of the wall. I said Scott said we need a tenting and Pest bear should cover this as we have been paying for all of this time. They basically couldn't care less and tried to walk back that I actually needed the $3,800 treatment. I had another real termite company come out and fumigate/treat the house for $2,200 so Pest Bear was going to make $1,600 off of fumigation services. Pest Bear should pay for this full treatment. Absolute shady business practices, they lie about your contract and they have no intention of actually treating your home. STAY AWAY. We have contacted a lawyer for their negligence and unethical business practices until we get this resolved. read more

So I previously reviewed pest bear and gave them a great review when I for sure want to take back. They came 1 time!!! Never set appointments to come back but would show up randomly to spray..mind you I have pets so they wanted them all moved out to the porch. I told them I need time..I need a notice because they do not want to spend more than 20 at your house. They have yet to finish spraying. We still have roaches and no one at the company will reach out or answer messages and basically it was just a huge waste if time and money. Ts company does not honor their 100% warranty. I was provided a quote for annual service that offered a 100% warranty with a promise that they would return between scheduled visits should a problem persist. After the treatment I continued to have the same lawn bug problems that were very evident; NOT small or hardly noticeable. I asked that they return, which they did promptly. However, that same week I walked in the yard using white socks with my sneakers and within 10' of the door I had multiple jumping fleas on my socks. I again called to discuss the continued problem but was told that I would need to pay more money to continue service. Instead of 4 times per year I must do 6 times. I might have agreed to the increased number of visits IF they could first show me that they could remedy the problem. I wasn't about to agree when, after all, they couldn't fix my problem AND were dishonest regarding their warranty. I did not ask for a 100% warranty. It was PestBear that stated the service had a 100% warranty. I did not tell them how many visits per year were necessary. It was PestBear that analyzed the property and told me how many times per year they would. Given my dissatisfaction, I asked for a refund in accordance to a 100% warranty. I was again denied. Don't count on PestBear for the 100% warranty. If they fail or you are dissatisfied they will not honor the promise. The most offensive thing was that they were so proud of their 100% guarantee that it was repeated over and over both spoken and in writing. Oh well, I wanted to be sure you knew about my bad experience and hope you do not have the same should you risk your trust to PestBear. read more

We had problems with our lawn browning - it took them a few months to come around - by that time the lawn was ruined - they said they'd come and put plugs in the lawn - after calling several times - they show up with only two trays - they broke my sprinkler trying to put the plugs - they taped up the sprinkler and after they left - it broke again - when an employee came by the next day to fix it -he discovered bugs in my lawn. I was promised my lawn would get fixed but after calling to get them back - they dropped me as a client. I wrote a letter to BB bureau and explained what they did to me - Pest Bear lied to them and said they fixed the problem and just accused me as being an unsatisfied customer. J. Tillman Pest Bear is the worst extermination service I have ever used. Not only does their product not work but they try to charge you for services that they don't render and when you call them to tell them the services weren't rendered they argue that b/c the tech submitted a bill the work must have been done as if their tech can't lie! They were providing two services for us; mosquito and general extermination. The mosquito service is $40. The tech claimed he came to our home to treat for the mosquitos. I work from home, I'm home everyday. He did not come to provide that service. I don't need to lie about a $40 fee. If the service was provided I wouldn't be upset. The MANAGER told me that if he believed every complaint he got about service not being provided (implying they get a lot of these complaints - ) they wouldn't have a business. I said based on your yelp reviews, you don't have much of a business to be concerned about! I immediately cancelled my service. I was charged twice and was rendered 1 service. I live in a subdivision with a 30 mph limit road. The driver that comes here is always speeding. He blew a stop sign and almost hit me. The this last Friday he drives thru the merge lane and almost hit me and another car. He was on his phone and when he made eye contact with me, he laughed and waved at me. I was a Pest Bear customer for about 2 years and recently ended the relationship. Not sure what moron is running PB but they don't understand what it means to be in a service business. I recently had to temporarily suspend service because money got tight. When I called to restart, after 3 months, and wanted to increase my spray frequency from 10 months to 12 months they told me I would not get the same prior price of $51 a month, which covered half my property. Said it would increase to $80. I clarified that I only got half of my yard serviced and they decreased it to $65. Not sure in what business/math class that makes sense but that's what I'd have to pay. Told them to pack sand. So in summary, the geniuses at Pest Bear, who's trucks are in my neighborhood at least weekly anyway, lost $600 a year in revenue for what seems to amount to just greed. I'd also like to add that if you have crabgrass or nutsedge in your yard you're on your own. PB doesn't service these weeds/grasses. Also, if you're a PB customer expect sales calls about every other month pushing everything from over priced lawn aeration to home pest spraying. Terrible company run by greedy clowns. read more

Was not told correct monthly pest control info then when I called to resolve issues was told a manager would be calling me in the next few days. After a few weeks I called back to cancel my service they said okay have a good day and hung up on me, not allowing me to ask any questions my charges.
