Be careful if this company did the Termite inspection when you purchased your home. They claimed on their website that they warranty the inspection for a year, but if termite indeed happened within a year, they would never cover the treatment. That's what happened to us. We purchased our home last July, and earlier last week we saw some 'winged ants' around the front door. I called the company and a guy named Robert came. He is unprofessional and rude - he didn't look inside the basement or garage. He didn't check around the house either. He just said that if you saw it, it's termite, and you need to treat it. I asked given it's within a year, will the warranty cover the treatment cost. He said firm no and left. We then asked another two companies to inspect and both of them did a thorough inspection - check basement, garage, deck for any sign of termite damage and explain to me how to identify it. Very professional. And they informed me that I should call PestNow to check if they cover the treatment cost since it's within a year. It's the industry standard for termite company. As such, today I called PestNow again - they still claimed termite treatment is not covered. I said it's not what their website says (which says clearly that 'If there are problems we fix them, if not we warranty the inspection for a year'), then the customer representative transferred me to Robert (the guy who did the inspection) - he still claimed that they will not cover the cost and saying this is non-sense. He never had anyone ask this question before. I guess PestNow put that warranty statement on the website just for marketing purpose, and they would never cover the cost even it happened within a year. Anyway, be careful with this company! Get a written statement about what they will cover by the warranty and be specific. read more

I scheduled an appointment about 3 days in advance and received confirmation. The service person did not arrive in the scheduled window. I got a call about 10 minutes before the window closed and was told that the service provider could not service my home and would send someone else instead. They claimed that person would arrive within 40 minutes. That person did not arrive within 40 minutes. I called to cancel since they didn't care about my business. I was transferred to the second service person and told that I need to be sure the person the sent next time services my area...as if it was someone my fault no one showed up? I never received an apology for lack of service. Their customer service is lacking and I will not be rescheduling. read more

Poor service that requires a 6 hour window for a half-hour visit to a property. My clients do not want folks in their home when they are not and to block out from 9:00 - 3:00 is ridiculous. It is now 10 minutes to 3 and we STILL have not heard from an inspector. Now 3:25 and inspector said between 4-5 - nice waste of a day. Follow-up: Rusty followed up with me and quite sympathetic and agrees what happened was unacceptable. It helps to know they were concerned enough to follow-up and as a result we both hope this will not happen to another in the future. read more

We first used Pest Now when we started finding ants on the second floor. We were also having squirrels in the attic. They did a complete inspection of our home. We needed to put new insulation in the attic. They removed items before the installation and then put them back in place. No more and problems up stairs. We still have ants near the back door but it is a heavy traffic area. They educated us on how to address the problem and sprayed the area. We have used other service over the 40+ years in our home. Would highly recommend for bed bugs! So a little history here: I spent $2000 to have my house heat treated for bed bugs and about 60 days later, they were back. I live in a row house, so it's very difficult to treat a row house with heat, unless all neighboring houses do it. I had done a lot of research on heat vs. chemical and went with heat, but there a few pieces of information that were missing/outdated 1) heat treatment is not a good option for row houses or adjoining living situations like apartments, as the bugs spread between the walls 2) there is a new chemical treatment that is MUCH more effective than what was previously used. Previously chemical treatments did not kill all of the bed bug cycles, so multiple treatments were really needed at different time points. But the new chemical, Crossfire, kills the bed bugs at all stages, and is therefore much more effective. Pest Now's prices are much more affordable, about $500, and the warranty is for 90 days (much longer than the competitors!). And I really liked the folks that I worked with, they were knowledgeable and very helpful. Would highly recommend! So far, my bed bugs are all gone!! :) read more

I used Pest Now for the termite treatment in August 2018 when I found a termite tube on one of my door frames. They drilled the exterior and installed an above ground bait box. Since the initial treatment, I have extended my warranty yearly. Beginning in 2020, I started having a terrible time with termite activity. Every time I called Pest Now, they did come out and treat - my issue is that their treatment didn't ever stop my termite issue. Since April 2020, I've had to have 5 additional treatments. I called them the 1st week of April 2021 and they said I was due for my warranty inspection so they came out and said I had no active termites, only evidence of previous termites. Within a week, I notice my side door frame was covered in termite dust so they came out and treated again (after telling me on the phone that I just had an inspection and they said no treatment was needed). I was cleaning around the door frame and chunks of my top door frame fell off. There is no way that would happen if termites were recent. A few days after that, I look outside and there were hundreds if not thousands of swarmers pouring out of my back stoop which was just treated 1 year earlier. I decided to call another company who not only found active termite activity on all four sides of my house but I have enough damage to the rear sill plate of my house that I need to get that replaced as soon as possible. They also said the above ground bait boxes weren't installed correctly and the spacing in the drilling that was done wasn't right. Here are pictures of the swarmers, evidence of termites after my most recent inspection said there was none, and damage to my sill plate. A warranty is only good if they get rid of the problem to begin with and now I'm stuck with a huge repair bill even though I did everything I was supposed to and trusted the professionals. read more

I am helping to sell a home for a client and the home was recently renovated fully renovated, even the two garages. The buyer uses pestnow and the report says there is damage in the both garages and sends an estimate for $650 with the report. I had Johnson Termite come out to provide the cert. which is now needs because of the claim of termite damage and that is costly.. Johnson termite said that what pestnow said was termite damaged was none other than dust debris and a piece of wood with some water on it... no termite damage whatever so ever and now my seller is obligated to pay all this money to get the termite cert. I'm just glad I didn't have pestnow do the cert since they clearly were trying to get their money on that end. Shame that people take advantage of others and try to scam people for money. They say that's what you get when you pay $39 bucks for an inspection. Pay a little more and have an honest company come out and do the inspection. read more

I have been a customer of Pest Now for 4 yrs. About a year and a half ago I developed a small rodent issue. The tech Duane came to my home and seal up as many holes as he could find and then proceed to bait the exterior of my home. Well this did not seem to solve the problem as it got worse. He directed me to the manager Randy, he was the most unhelpful person that I have ever dealt with using big words ( to sound intelligent) and basically sending Duane back to my home to do the same thing. A month later I called the corporate office to speak to the Manager I was forwarded to Ramon. This was one of the worst experiences with customer service that I have ever been apart of dealing with any company! He basically tried to make me feel that I was over reacting and that if I didn't like his answer I could find another company. He didn't want to listen to anything I said and kept suggesting that all I wanted was a refund. Felt like I was being bullied ,I never mentioned money of any sort I just wanted the mice gone. With the problem getting worse and Duane trying his best to get it take care of with no success I had no choice but to call the company and cancel my service and move on else where. With two bad experiences with managers and a technician that seem as if he was doing everything he could but getting no help. I called and explained to the girl on the phone my problem and what I wanted to do, cancel my service. She asked me to speak to another manager before I cancelled. His name was Joe and he advised me to allow him to come out to do an inspection and if I wasn't satisfied with his findings then I could cancel. He came out and inspected my home and found a tiny hole under my dishwasher floor. Upon removing the dishwasher we found a bigger hole. He instructed me to have a contractor come out to seal the hole which we did and long story short it has been 5 mos and we are rodent free. If I had dealt with Joe at first this would be 5 stars. The previous years I have never had an issue with this company my technicians have been great. Going forward I will request Joe if I have any problems. Beware of this company's horrific fraudulent practices. We heard what we thought was a raccoon in our attic. We called Pest Now (we had previously had them spray for bugs last summer) and they sent someone out the next morning. Upon entering the house, Bobby was very nice and seemed to know what he was talking about. He's a very good salesman. He walked in and thoroughly "read" that we were freaked out, grossed out, and that we care a lot about our two dogs. And, without a doubt, noticed we were both female. He went up into our attic to inspect and a few minutes later we hear him cursing. He came down and said the raccoon hissed at him, that our attic is completely destroyed, there were piles of insulation, we had feces everywhere that needed to be decontaminated immediately, and that it completely reeked up there. He told us to be careful with our precious dogs, and told us a story about a raccoon mauling one of his client's cats. He told us to seal the attic door with tape so that the raccoon wouldn't get too interested in what's going on downstairs and try to open the attic door. All to stress the urgency of our situation. Completely freaked out for the lives of our dogs and ourselves, we (naively) took him for his word when he told us we had to spend $3,900 to remove the raccoon, completely redo the insulation in our attic, and decontaminate the place. We have security cameras installed all over our house and I have the entire interaction where he swore to us how bad our situation was recorded. Interestingly, while he provided me with a verbal quote there was no breakdown of costs or anything for me to sign. Fast forward 24 hours to our first appointment of this 4 day endeavor. The technician (Adam) comes out to put the trap up there. He was up there for 15 minutes seems like a long time to set a trap, but I didn't question it because Bobby had us convinced that it was a mess up there. He also asked to borrow my step stool which I found strange since there is a ladder into the attic, but I didn't question it. 15 minutes later he comes down and says he didn't see any raccoons up there, but he did set the trap so we'll see what we get. Later that day, I decided that before spending $3,900 on my attic I should really get another opinion. Bobby made it seem like the world was ending, but Adam seemed pretty calm about the whole thing. We contacted another company and I could tell off the bat that they were honest and reputable. The owner of that company offered to come out (for free) and take a look for us and see if it was as bad as Bobby made it out to seem. He went up there and then called me up as well. Not only was there no raccoon to be found in the attic, but the insulation was completely intact and fine except for one small little area. There was no stench, and no feces. A raccoon has been there, but there was no work to be done other than sealing the entry point (the gable vent) and MAYBE replacing about $30 worth of insulation. Also interestingly, someone had installed chicken wire over the gable vent... ah, so that's what they had to borrow my step stool for! Further, it didn't even smell up there (I think my kitchen smells worse). The other contractor said that as much as he'd like the business, there wasn't anything we had to do short of sealing off the obvious entry point. I called Pest Now, and they immediately got defensive. They said they didn't install the chicken wire, and back tracked a lot on what I have them on camera saying the first day. They now said they had to remove the insulation to find the entry point, not because it was completely destroyed (like they told me it was the other day). Supposedly Bobby was now convinced the raccoon was coming from the front of the house (we live in a Brick house with a roof on front that is completely visible to the street... I guess maybe raccoons can chew through brick and fit through holes in said brick that aren't visible to the naked eye, since thats the only way they'd be coming in the front of the house?) These guys are scam artists through and through preying on women who are young and freaked out. I took multiple days off work this week to be here when they needed me to be here and didn't sleep or let my dogs out of my sight, since Bobby seemed so convinced this horrific raccoon was a threat to our safety (yet removing it was scheduled to be a 4 day process?). They're coming tomorrow to pick up their trap, and I was clear that if they don't exit the property immediately with said trap I'll have it all on our security cameras (including pictures of the "totally destroyed" attic and Bobby's testimonial the other day) for the nightly news. Don't call this company for anything except a laugh. (Also interestingly, they advertise online for commission based "no experience required" technician jobs with "guaranteed money"... save your money and hire a real wildlife control company rather than a salesperson.) read more

Shady af. Had someone come out for inspection and they said that we were good and didn't need to spray. A couple days later we get a quote saying that we did need to spray for pests. I had it all...mice, rats, ants, flying ants, centipedes, spiders...and now I don't. The pests are finally under control, and I am so relieved that, with the quarterly package, if I see any critters, all I have to do is call. Had a service call sheduled from 7-10 on a Saturday. Apprently the tech arrived at 8 am, or i revieved a voicemail at 8am saying the tech was here and that he knocked on the door. I missed the call and did not here him knocking on the door. I recieved the voicemail at 8 15 and immediately called him back and he did not answer. Now i am being rescheduled to next Saturday. To say the least i am not pleased. I myself do service calls for my jobs and woyld get chewed out if i didnt wait more that 15 minutes. I called the 1 800 number, they were understanding but did not really help. I am not happy. Again, i do service call everyday as a Aav technician and Saturday or not you wait for the client more than 15 minutes. read more

Lawn Service Only! The worst possible service you can buy for your lawn. At the end of summer I have more weeds than ever, I mow the lawn every 5 days due to over fertilization, I have numerous dead patches where chemicals killed the good grass. No one should fertilize in July but this is exactly what PestNow did! It looks terrible and I have spent much more on restoring the lawn than I paid for this terrible service. PestNow should stick to pest control. Note: You cannot service lawns with the same equipment you use to treat for Pest. You are not a Lawn Care Company! read more

Very fast respond-after I call within 2-3 days someone is coming to my house...I wish that news would scare mice's to death...

I called Pestnow for an inspection because I saw some flying insects in the mulch near my house. They came out and after inspection told me that I not only had termites, my house was "swarming" with carpenter ants, and there were "numerous" rat droppings around. They said I needed to address all of these, quickly, to the tune of hundreds of dollars, plus set up a regular, quarterly pest control service. I told him I needed to think about it and asked him to email me the quote. I then asked another company to come out, and after their inspection I was told "we see zero evidence of any pests". The flying insects were some kind of common benign insect, usual for this time of year. (Termites are spring, I was told, not fall.) The other company made $0 from me, but told me the truth. Pestnow is flat our fraudulent. Oh, and the tech never even emailed me the quote. STAY AWAY from this crooked company. read more

They changed my appointment without my knowledge, indicating I had called right after making the appointment to change it, which I had not. They usually send confirmation emails once appointments are made, however, I received no confirmation email reflecting the change, and they did not honor the time they had given me. I was penalized for their mistake, as they wanted me to wait for another week to rectify the pest issue, and refused to refund my money when I explained that the reason for the appointment was a THIRD follow-up for an issue that remained unresolved. When speaking with a supervisor and attempting to explain the situation, he cut me off and was extremely rude. Very poor customer service, and I have no trust in their ability to maintain appointments or resolve the issues they claim to be able to be experts in --- this is a hardship for those that have to take time off from work to be present for the appointment. read more
