An employee told Brian, another employee, to check in the RV section. I followed Brian but no luck. His service didn't end there as he then walked me to another aisle on the other side of the store that had all types of buckets. Although I didn't find a mop I did find a bucket under $10. When you head towards the door leading to the back there's a chain barrier up and you have to wait for someone to get you. A girl came and let us in and told us not to touch the cages or anything. The puppies were actually pretty nice and had a good little area to run around. It was clean when I went in there with my roommate and didn't smell like poop. Couldve had waaaay better customer service. The gentleman in there just said hey to us and walked off and the other girl pretty much did the same. When we went to ask her questions she seemed pretty uninterested in us. I didn't even bother asking if I could play with one.

Items like designer collars, specialty dog bones and toys and of course trendy little puppy clothes. Sooo cute! I usually resist the retail temptations here, as I am always immediately lured into the second section of the store which houses all of the yelping, fuzzy, pups. There are a good number of beautifully kept pens here, most of them open so the potential pup parent can gaze lovingly into their potential new additions brown eyes. A lot of the really small pups, Yorkies and Chihuahua's, have lids on their pens. But, the staff here is really knowledgeable and willing to chat in depth about all of their temporary adoptees. And this schmoozing with the staff allows you the opportunity to hold or even play with these furry babies. The negative element, aside from the whole potential encouragement of puppy mill proliferation -(Wow, say that 5 times fast!), is that the pups are incredibly expensive. The reviews were really good and the girl I spoke to the night before to reserve his spot was so helpful. The owner was amazing and sent a video of Milo playing with other puppies a couple hours after I dropped him off. When I went to pay the owner was there and checked me out and only had nice things to say about my dog which is always a plus! The location was great and you could tell the workers really cared about the dogs that were there for the day. There was a cleanliness to the place that I appreciated. Every bit of the experience was a good one and I would recommend this place to anyone who cares about their dog and wants them to be able to play out some of that energy!

Inside, it's just the opposite, with a plethora of live plants (tons of orchids), a lively aquarium & a few welcoming caged parrots who greeted my pup & I with "hello!" We have been looking for another nearby groomer, as a previous experience with an Avondale groomer left a pretty sour taste in our mouths... Bobby & Nick are two very nice guys! I believe they took great care of our boy & also had him handsome & ready for pick up at the time I had requested, decked out with an adorable bandanna. Nick is an excellent communicator & thoroughly went over the details of our dog's visit. I think we found a keeper! We look forward to returning to Paws and Claws!

Things have been crazy as of late due to being in the midst of a move and staying somewhere in the…read moreinterim with three animals. My goal, before moving the animals to the temp place, was to get baths and grooming done for both dogs and the cat. Family members have been taking their pets to this store for quite some time, and with a last minute groom on the horizon, I knew that I wasn't going to be able to get a free spot for one, let alone three, at Bark. I think things worked out well with timing because I took all three down on Monday morning at 10. Who else thinks about getting their animals groomed on a Monday morning? All three went in with no problem, even the cat, and I was called about 2 1/2 hours later to pick them up. The cat, who was my biggest worry, was absolutely great according to the groomers and smelled like a candle. The dogs were smelling great too, but my only concern is that they basically shaved my long haired dog completely bald. I have never seen him shaved that close in all the times that I've been taking him to be groomed at different places. When I say he was almost bald, I was concerned about him getting sunburned, that's how short it was. It will be quite awhile before he is due for a cut again and if I take him there again, I will have to specify to not shave him bald. Although, you'd think that an experienced groomer wouldn't cut that close.

I have the monthly package and I was a little nervous at first because my dog is very afraid of being around people but the owners are always so nice to my dog Boone as well as they give him pup cups and treats to promote a happy fun environment for him. He now LOVES coming in now and we get him washed weekly. Boone and I love bubbly paws, Boones still not liking the blow dryer BUT if he gets a pup cup he's more than happy to suck it up for the pup cup. oh and they have a cute little photoshoot area!
