Recently took my dog to be groomed here. she received a sanitary cut and thought it was a little…read moreodd that they shaved her down completely bald in the area but didn't think much of it just figured that's standard and would ask them not to cut that hair again as it was her longer tail hairs that were more the problem. The following day she developed a rash and thought it was the short hairs rubbing in her skin folds causing irritation. By the second day the area was bright red and oozing. We had to visit an urgent care vet as it was the weekend at this point and learned that she had a serious bacterial infection that was secondary to a suspected clipper burn. Multiple pain relievers and antibiotics later she's thankfully on the mend but $75 grooming turned into a $325 vet bill and a broken heart seeing our girl in pain. I know things happen but I am disappointed that this was our experience the first time taking her, I trusted the groomers to take good care of her and unfortunately that just didn't happen. We will not be returning but wanted to leave the review for awareness.

The animals are verified for health before being allowed to board, so no need to worry about your loved ones getting sick while you're gone. The location is a little out of the way; you have to go down Sand Hill Trail, a gravel road, for a couple miles. But it's well worth the trip. Pick-up and drop-off during weekdays is before 7AM and 5-7 PM, which can be tough, but on the upside they are open Sundays 12-6PM (closed Saturday). The rates are great too, $8 per day (call to confirm); SO much better than a certain location on 580th that charged me $800 for a two weeks to board a dog and cat! Becky is a veterinarian, and her children are always there too. Wonderful people!

I've heard nothing but good things about Bark Ave. so I had my now husband reach out to them. Chloe (my pup) received a package in the mail from them with puppy treats, a toy, and other miscellaneous items. I knew from their interest in her that we had to board her there for the night. Fast forward to July 22, I was super worried about how she would be in a new environment since she is a puppy and she gets anxiety around new people and not being by/with her "mom". That night I received a report card with a cute little picture of her and it had no negatives about her; she even made friends with two other pups- Annie and Tator! When we picked her up she was super happy and the staff working enjoyed playing with her. We paid a little extra so she could have 1:1 play time and be let out more often since we are working on potty training. In all, I definitely recommend this place and I will reach out to them again if we ever need to board Chloe overnight for whatever reason.

They shaved my golden retriever, we asked for his normal cut and they shaved him bare in some spots. They called us and said "we cut it too short in some spots" but it was an utter hack job. They then lied and doubled down and said we asked for him to be shaved, this is a lie because I know cutting a goldens hair too short can lead to permanent damage. They must not know that. They offered no apology, no refund, nothing. They should not be in business.
