I have been getting my long haired German Shepherd and English Mastiff groomed at Pet Degree for years. Always meaning to write a review, so here it is! My two big dogs come out looking so amazing that I could never go anywhere else!! They are not easy to clean, but always come home looking immaculate and gorgeous! Shiny, fluffy, happy and perfect.. ready for photos and a party! No shortcuts are made here,and they smell beautiful also. It is worth every penny and then some. My 120 pound rescue dog is VERY reactive, to the point where I used to plan his walks and outings around avoiding people and other dogs. He'd done puppy training, but at 4 years old, I assumed his barking/lunging behavior was his "personality." Then, a vet who had trouble treating him (because of his reactivity) strongly recommended Pet Degree. It has been a life-changer! Each lesson has built upon the next (we've done 4 lessons, so far), and Max is walking in parks. Calmly passing bikes, kids, joggers--without any reactivity. He's a different dog! Last week, I started bringing his sister, who is so fearful! The owner, Lynne, immediately introduced a calm, confidence-building atmosphere. I cannot recommend Pet Degree highly enough. I had a horrible experience with this company and it was $100 wasted for a training session. When I first called, I requested they come to my house (which is an option they offer, and $50 more) but they strongly encouraged me to come to the facility even though I felt like that wasn't best for me and my dog. My dog is a rescue who was a stray so he is highly reactive and anxious. The second we pull into the parking lot he can hear the dogs in the day care outside barking and he's reacting strongly. I get him out of the car, about 7 minutes before my appt time and am quickly greeted at the door with someone telling me the owner is not back from the hike with the other dogs so you need to wait to come in. I explained that my dog is highly reactive can we please come in the building. I was told no and I can either put him back in the car or walk around the parking lot. The car was worse, so I chose to walk him around, but the dogs outside were barking like crazy setting him off. Finally exactly at my appt time, the owner rolls in with all the dogs from the hike and they're slowly unloading them all. I finally get to come in the building a few minutes later than my appt time because this process took them so long. I then get in the building and my dog is reacting again to the dogs barking inside the grooming area. The owner seemed a bit distracted throughout the appt as other customers and employees were talking to her. We had maybe 30 good minutes of walking in circles, which really wasn't helpful for the real world. On our way home after a very stressful appt, I decided to take my dog to a place we would go often to work on what we learned, and it was as if he learned nothing because we weren't in a controlled one room building. I was so upset and disappointed about how this entire experience went and never want to go back. What a waste of money and time. read more

I have been dealing with Pet Degree for over 5 years. Lynn and her staff know their business and are very tuned in the your dogs needs and as well as yours. I just had my German Shepard in for a Spa Day, she came out looking clean and well groomed. It looked like they even brushed her teeth. I don't know where the negative reviews are coming from or the 1 star rating. I guess some people cannot handle constructive criticism. read more

We love PetDegree and have been using their grooming services for over 5 years - every 6 weeks religiously. My dogs are not afraid, do not cower and shake, and don't mind going to the groomer. Lynn does an excellent job with my two dogs; wouldn't take them anywhere else! They are DEFINITELY dog people here - I don't understand the other reviews. We applied for daycare, they made us wait for almost 1 month for an interview. My dog has been going to a daycare since she was 2 1/2 months old, she is very socialized and play well with other dogs. She was terrified outside the building with all the trucks and vans around. They opened the door and made me drag the dog inside. They didn't let me in, didn't let me ask any questions nothing just said "come back in 20min". I was waiting in the car, when I walked back towards the building they already had her outside. They didn't gave me a chance to ask any questions, the lady said "she is not a good fit, she was anxious and didn't want to play, and she pooped in the room". I asked was she aggressive, jumpy towards any dog? anxiety and been scared in a new environment is completely normal! Their reply was no. I feel that they didn't even gave her a chance, they didn't even tried. Before the 20 minutes she was already outside waiting for me. They didn't put any effort to make her comfortable. I felt that they were completely prejudiced against my dog due to her breed. read more

I am a huge fan of Pet Degree, and want to support this locally owned and very well-run business. It is always spotlessly clean --- and smells great, too. Your dog needs an "interview" before he starts, to ensure that all the dogs are compatible. My yellow lab loves it here. He did his puppy kindergarten here, and also had a few early private training sessions, and I could not be happier. I also love to bring him here on a regular basis for some play time, in Doggy Day Care. (Great idea! He loves it! Especially pool days in the summer). This is so helpful when I need to be away all day, or just want my dog to have a fun day at school. The owner and her staff are professionals and very friendly. I don't bring my lab for professional grooming, but I know those who have and love the results. They do offer nail clipping which is so nice since I am afraid to try that myself. I am excited to see they have a "do it yourself" inexpensive wash now, too, and plan to check that out for his next bath. My dog knows when he is going to school and is SO excited to see everyone there. He comes home tired, happy and sweet smelling. :) Thanks, Lynn and company, keep up the good work. read more

I took my dog to "Pet Degree" today for her first private lesson in Obedience training and I really liked it. The staff was friendly and Lynn was awesome. My dog has already improved within 1 lesson and I enjoyed all the information that was told to me. I would recommend Pet Degree if you need help with basic training. I look forward in scheduling my dogs 2nd lesson with them soon. read more

I read other reviews that were negative but all of my experiences with them were great. We did day care, training, playtime, nails cut. I actually think they did and do a great job. All of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Lynn's training gets results. So if you want training for your dog, you can't be afraid of being stern when needed. Well trained = a dog you can safely bring places = happy dog (& owner). I will be back for future training and do recommend. And no... they are not friends of mine. I am an actual client. read more

Terrible, stay away. While grooming, they cut my dog's eye, then tried to claim was pre-existing. I immediately took my dog to emergency services and when I presented Pet Degree with the invoice for their insurance to reimburse, they stone-walled and dragged their feet. I had paid $120 for my 3 dogs to get groomed, paid $2,500 for a yellow lab, and yet they couldn't do the right thing and reimburse us for the $250 vet bill for an injury they clearly caused. The nerve of them to charge me for the grooming and then bring my injured pet out after they collected payment was insult to injury. The right thing would have been to call immediately upon noticing my dog's discomfort and distress. read more

Horrible. If you love your dog(which I know you do!) stay away from here! The instructor had dogs,to demonstrate, they were terrified of her. Cowering and looking up at her. She was proud of the fact they did whatever she commanded in their fear! She had 2collars on them. One being a spiked choke collar! We brought our 1 year old mixed breed rescue pup to help with leash walking and all around behavior help. She's loving and excitable and so happy to see anyone! After ONE CLASS and doing the homework our dog was great at home but next class,crowded room, too close to other dogs(sniffing her butt in her face) she was hard to control. INSTEAD OF HELPING,THE GIRL WAS EXTREMELY CRITICAL AND CONDEMNING! I DONT WANT MY DOG PETRIFIED OF ME! We paid good money and decided,due to the dogs choking herself and being PETRIFIED AND TRYING TO RUN FROM THEIR DOOR after ONE CLASS,we left. Not a good place at all. So sad. They don't like dogs. They like the money. Hard hearted, abusive people will be right at home. Oh and that one star is only because I couldn't go further without doing it. I give it negative infinity stars!!!! read more

What a relief to find a dog training facility where people actually know what they are doing. I've used this facility for grooming, training, and doggy daycare. Every time I have received exceptional customer service and have been treated very well. The trainers are top notch and will help with various behavioral issues. My dog is an angel and can even walk without a leash in a crowded environment. I highly recommend this facility for all of your doggy needs. read more

Take my dog to get groomed they do an excellent job. I have one concern. For daycar drop off time is between 7-9 now when dog are dropped off they are put outside until 9:00. No matter what the weather conditions pouring rain, snow, hot etc. shouldn't there be a cover for them to hide under? It's an open space. This is a huge concern especially when going there and seeing soaking wet dogs standing in the rain. What can be done? read more
