I've dealt with several of their vets here, most recently Dr. Augustine, and they've all been very helpful and listened to my concerns, and responded professionally and appropriately. I originally switched since they have more reasonable prices for feline dental. Unfortunately for one of my cats, her pre-dental bloodwork led the team to conclude that she likely had cancer. They worked tirelessly to get my cat an appt at the OVC in Guelph where they were able to treat her in the short-term and get the final diagnosis. A note that they stopped accepting new clients in December. This doesn't include new pets for pre-existing clients. The staff here speak English, Cantonese, and I believe Mandarin also.

Our first visit was unplanned before the first exam as our puppy had diarrhea. They are a busy place but squeezed her in because as they said, puppies have to be watched very carefully. Plenty of parking available. I like that they also have pet classes onsite in the evening by pet trainers that they have screened.

The clinic's reception offered us services which apparently the vet is not allowed to provide. Once we asked the vet about it, she (Dr. Zelma) became extremely agitated, hanged up the phone and sent us home without providing much needed services to our pet, accusing us of being "rude". While I was there, I asked them if they had transferred my CATS documents to the Rossland vet. They had sent my cats information to the Roswell vet... THE WRONG VET. I switched to Ajax Animal Hospital and over the years there had 4 in total. All GREAT dogs and Ajax Animal Hospital was GREAT. 4.5 years ago I went back to hunting dogs and decided to try Whites Road Animal Hospital again. They were good and treated my dogs well, the clinic a little on the costly side but that was ok till last week. On a vet visit I saw this Lady vet who noticed a bad tooth on 1 of my dogs. I was surprised with all the vet visits and such I do on a regular basis that not once did they say anything before or catch the issue with tooth. This all said I was charged for a checkup $65.36 on one dog and $121.39 on the other, this was for the exact same examination both about 15min each. The vet gave an estimate to do a teeth cleaning and an estimate to do a cleaning and tooth extraction. The prices seamed very high so I googled to get an average cost and then followed up with 4 other local clinics. In 4 clinics I found that after 4.5 years of regular treatments, medications and all that they wanted to give quotes that on Cleanings was $180 to $220 higher then 4 other area vets. The dental cleaning and tooth extraction was around $800 to $1,550 higher then the 4 other local vets. These prices Whites Road wanted to charge are insane. This made me cross check on other charges they charged me on my visit last week and I found them slightly high as well. The 2 quotes was so concerning when Whites Road Vet Clinic sent an auto generated question on how my visit was I replied to these issues and sent them an e-mail. Today the main lady calls and gives a total BS story on why there was such a difference on the charge they charged me on Examination, she said they both got the premium examination but only charged for the premium on 1 dog and not the other LOL what a crock of BS, this was an insult. A 15 min examination done 100% same on the dog that had NO tooth issue was the one at $121.39. All 4 other clinics for full examination was well below this and more in line with Whites Roads $65.00 charge they had on my other dog. For the EXTREMELY high quotes after already paying high prices for 4.5 years her story was that the clinic follows guidelines and can charge / quote whatever they want and that it's only a quote LOL, $800 to $1,550 more is NOT normal I suggest everyone really look into what this clinic is charging you and how long they spend for the charges. There is a lot of GOOD vets out there that are not out for the $$$ and are MUCH more responsible and respectful on what there charging there patients. Look around and make sure your getting treated correctly and not over paying. This is all my own personal feelings from actual experiences that I have had at Whites Road Vet Clinic. Please check for yourselves.

Hello all, I want to share our experience with Arnold Crescent Animal Hospital. We had taken our…read moredog in to see Dr. Dewey because of seizures he was having. Dr. Kevin Dewey gave us a consultation and did blood work that he suggested, a cost of ($420.00) The result after the blood came back did show low white blood cell platelets that he said was ok ,sent him home and said if it this happens more often bring him back. Our dog had another seizure about two weeks later, so we decided to have a second opinion. Another Doctor that we went to did the same blood work which came back with the same results as Dr. Dewey. This doctor reviewed Dr. Dewey's blood test as well and said there is something very wrong with your dog and we should do a parasite test. We of course agreed and said please go ahead, the blood test came back positive for parasites and now he is taking medication and showing great results of it working. He will be taking this medication for one month to get rid of the parasites. We asked Dr. Dewey why he didn't tell us that there was a problem that he saw and look further into it after the test showing the low white blood cell platelets at the same time it came back. He said that his machine may have not worked properly and this may be why the white blood platelets were low. He said he also looked under a microscope and thought everything was fine. When we returned and questioned him, asked why he didn't suggest doing another test at that moment after seeing something was not normal. His answer was because he didn't want to charge us more money to look further. I said this is not his job to make that decision without giving us the choice first. When asking questions further he looked like he was hiding his mistakes in medical terms about other things that could happen so it would not look like he made that wrong decision, instead of being accountable for the the decision he made. I want others to hear our experience with Dr. Dewey so they are aware with their pets with the experience we had.. Our pet means the world to us and am so glad we went to see another Doctor that saved our pets life.
