Pretty happy with their level of care. I waited for my cjs remains in for his private ashes. Pet meadow took about 7 to 10 business days to deliver to my vet. I choose to have the dark mahogany urn for my Cj. To my shock it was a black box but thankfully his photo looked amazing in it. They lost a star because of his urn color. It did say it would be mahogany color. They email you back quickly as well. They also did a nice video for my baby's life on their website, I greatly appreciate that. I would recommend them for these services. I am happy it was easy to insert the photo into his urn. I really didnt like the urn but its growing on me. We also received a paw print with the order. I wasn't too thrilled about it because they don't let you choose which paw. I wish I would have done it myself. It is nice none the less. I did get lucky cause its the paw I would have choose. But very good choices I would recommend them. The price was good as well. I would think it would be a little bigger the big since he was a maine coon. read more

My son and I had the best experience with Pet Meadow. Well beyond 5 stars. We received an email the same day of our dog passing and others with updates. They also provided us with there contact phone number and also an emergency number after hours which I used. My call was returned in less than 10 minutes and everyone I spoke too was so nice, kind and accommodating. The inside of the facility in Carlstadt was nice, neat and clean and very presentable. Eddie was so caring, gentle, respectful, and just amazing in every way. He made us feel warm and welcome when we came for our appointment. He explained the process and answered all our questions. He then brought us in to see our dog "Valentine" who was so beautifully laid out. Eddie gave us all the time we needed in private to grieve. He was so very kind and made us feel very comfortable. Eddie called us a couple hours later to inform us the ashes were ready. They were presented so beautifully and the engraved label was perfect. Eddie exceeded every expectation I had for the entire process. I feel so grateful to him for showing us such kindness in our final goodbye to our fur baby. I lost my best bud of 17 years a few weeks ago, and Carlstadt Pet Meadow held onto him for a private viewing after one email I sent while they waited days for ME to call back (I wasn't sure what I wanted right after he passed and waited to return their calls). I called back and had a wonderful phone call arranging the private viewing. When I arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect. The three staff there (all men, and I am horrible with names, so I apologize to them) were very nice and professional and made me, a 6'0 270lb man calm. My cat was laid out comfortably and I was given a side room. The room is small and even though I was alone I could see how a family could enjoy that space for a final moment with their pet; it was set up similar to a funeral home but with five or six chairs and the viewing platform. I was with my cat for 45 minutes before I was ready for them to take him and appreciated the privacy. Any hesitation or mistrust around the process was gone by the staff's demeanor and I knew he was in good hands while I left for a few hours while they creamated my pet and prepared him. They called a few hours later and I picked him up, and they made sure I everything was done as I wanted before I left. I read reviews and of course seeing the negative reviews makes anyone going through this uneasy, but it wasn't my experience at all and I thank them greatly for the final closure of losing my pet. EDIT: the business has reached out to me and has committed to changing their pricing and has cut ties with the ring designer. I am very pleased with the response from pet meadows and so long as they make changes that are right by pet parents, I will use them again in the future. It pains me to write this update as Allyssa and her team are the kindest, most compassionate group. After the issues with my ring, I hoped everything was behind me so I could begin properly grieving. A few weeks ago, I noticed my ring resin was peeling. I take better care of the ring than my wedding ring so I know it wasn't due to how I was treating it. I reached out and was put in contact with the designer. The designer asked me to send it to him. I was apprehensive due to the issues I had receiving the ring. After some back and forth with the designer and Pet Meadows, I had to send it out. The two primary issues I had were: 1) when my baby passed, it was so sudden, I had never thought about arrangements. I did not know there were options for cremate jewelry and thought I had to purchase at that time. When I was looking through the designers page, I found that pet meadows is charging DOUBLE the price for the ring than purchasing through the designer. It's extremely predatory to capitalize so much on people's loss. When i was looking at my options of jewelry on the pet meadows site, I had less than 24 hours to make my decision and in hindsight, why is this the case? Why couldn't I have 48 hours? I did not receive my baby back for five days, so why did I have to make this choice so fast? 2) when I reached out with the concerns about the price, the quality, feeling taken advantage of, etc, I never heard back. The only thing that has been done is they refunded my postage (I'm still waiting on that check although I was told it was sent two weeks ago). While I believe the ladies I've spoke to at the call center want to help, I don't believe anyone above them does. I truly believe pet meadows (as a company) does not care about you or your loved one and only cares about making money and capitalizing off your loss. If you have other options other than pet meadows, use them. I'm more than open to someone reaching out to prove me wrong and I will be happy to update. read more

The staff was very friendly and empathetic towards our situation. We cried our eyes out and knowing it the last time seeing our baby in the flesh. The staff told us usually the family gets around 30min it's or to say their goodbyes. Of course else stay as long as we needed. We ended up staying over an hour. We awaited 3 hours to pick up my baby's ashes. The staff helped trim the photos to fit the urn and her paw print book. I highly recommend. People - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY, THEY WILL STEAL BOTH!! A few days before my original dog paw print & its copy were FINALLY returned, I spoke with someone calling themselves Curt Fitzgerald who assured me that: 1. They would return what we paid for. 2. They would issue a refund (for the second copy). 3. Delays had taken place due to them ensuring the quality of their products. I made it clear that his words meant nothing due to their month long silence & how they had behaved up to this point. (See my original post). I explained that I simply wanted them to honor their promises. He kept insisting they would. Unsurprisingly, they didn't.  The upset my family & I experienced when we eventually gained the copy of our beloved dog's original paw print was immense, as it is of exceptionally poor quality. * I've included a photo so you can see this for yourself.* If we are to believe C. Fitzgeralds reasoning for ignoring all our prior calls & emails (as well as from our vets) was done so that they, (PM), could focus on ensuring the highest quality of their products, then my photos (along with other rightfully unhappy reviewers) makes it abundantly clear that that's a lie. A rather pathetic one at that. One that doesn't remotely stand up to scrutiny & they've been in business long enough to know better.  In looking them up online, I also noticed that they repeatedly took the time to remove, block or deliberately avoid reviews on FB, IG & wherever else possible, that spoke in detail of experiences both similar & worse than mine. YET, they found little to no time to focus on how, &/or even WHETHER to respond to us & other customers, let alone appropriately. As such, they DO NOT fulfill the services they 'claim' to offer & HAVE NOT delivered the standard of quality the customers paid for. They've failed spectacularly. Not only us, as their customers, but themselves, as they are ultimately a business that exists under the agreement of offering a service the public pays for, & common sense/'Business 101' deems that companies survive if (at least), they: 1. HAVE customers. 2. Fulfills its agreement with said customers.  Without us, business's fold like every other failed venture before them. Yet once again, we're back to their same old game that had me write a review in the first place. Meaning, I'm back to having contacted them numerous times, (only this time for a full refund for the shoddy paw print copy we waited over a month without a word from them for - & so too has our local vets) - & once again Pet Meadow are ignoring us.  As such, here I am once more, warning all potential customers.. DON'T WASTE YOUR RESOURCES, THEY'RE INCOMPETENT, GO ELSEWHERE!!   Since Pet Meadow are ignoring all mine & our vets calls & emails, I'm forced to write the following message directly for them. I made a copy of the phone call with Curt Fitzgerald July 25th 2023 & will escalate this further until you give us back what you promised - our refund. If you are sincere in making that happen you know what to do, (see also my last email - the one of many you never bothered to appropriately respond to).  At this point our upset isn't about money. It's because you believe you can treat people poorly & exploit us in our moment of extreme distress & vulnerability without consequence. This is disgusting!! And if you insist on behaving this way then I will do my best to be sure to exert as much exposure on WHO you are & WHAT you're really doing to us, the paying public!! After-which, people can be free to truly make an informed choice as to whether it's worth interacting with you regarding their loss. Personally, I think not. In the meantime, let's see what sort of human you & your gaggle are. Whether you'll still publicly continue to lie & cheat at the expense of people's profound grief.  Will your predatory behavior consistently reveal the true nature of your cruel disregard for our genuine pain? Does a grieving public really need what you claim to sell, when in truth you offer nothing? Nothing but more pain for those of us who are already struggling with an unbearable amount of it? The depth of your gutter selfishness will eventually be your undoing & hiding your misdeeds with the occasional positive review or other sleights of hand will not sufficiently bury truths like mine. We, the paying public, have rights you are obliged to observe & as such we are not as gullible, replaceable, nor stupid as you'd like to think. But you would rather ignore this & make other shady endeavors rather than deal with the very real harms & wrongs you have incurred. What you haven't fathomed is that your business is nothing without us customers & our deep loss, & you would do well to remember that when next paying your bills & coping with life's pricey responsibilities, as your customers time, grief, & money pays for all that you have. I couldn't have asked for a more caring end for our beloved pet. This place has been wonderful from the first moment we had to interact with them. They took care of not just our dog, but us. It started with phone calls with a kind Alexa, and ended with a manager named Scott. Scott happened to be working that day, and I'm sure anyone you get would be lovely, but I feel lucky to have had Scott the entire day by our side. You can view as much, or as little, of the process that takes take care of your beloved pet. I had no idea this service was available when you lose your loved one. As hard as it was, we didn't want our little guy to be alone in those final hours. We were able to say goodbye to our Alistair, looking like he always did when he slept. The loss was sudden and life-changing, and Pet Meadow helped make this process as seamless as they possibly could. There's no rush to say goodbye, and you can spend time in a private room. Oradell Hospital (another fabulous place) uses Pet Meadow, and that's how we wound up there. I recommend Pet Meadow for any parent- Scott's kind demeanor and personality helped my husband and I through this awful time, and I'm so grateful to him. Forever. They simply don't care. They don't answer the phones. They won't return messages or emails. Nothing. And trust me. When our 18 year-old cat, Oliver, passed away we knew we had to give him the same treatment we'd given our dog, Lily, 1 1/2 years ago. Our experience on that occasion was flawless. When I looked to yelp to get the address I was dismayed to see all the negative reviews, but we decided to proceed. When we got there last Saturday we expressed our concerns regarding all the negative reviews. Rather than discounting the negativity, the young man who greeted us acknowledged all that had been wrong at Pet Meadow and reassured us that he and the company were working to correct all of it. He said we'd have our Oliver back with us by Wednesday. Today is Tuesday and we have picked up his ashes in a beautiful box. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. This past June I lost my morkie who was my best friend for 15 years. My family has had 3 pets pass and all were privately cremated by Pet Meadow. Each pet had ashes and clay paw prints ordered, costing a large some of money. For the first two, I received everything perfect and as hoped and expected. I was horrified to find that for my morkie, the paw print I received was non existent, illegible, with the clay still soft. Hoping I would find answers and customer service that made up for this poor result, I am disappointed to find that wasn't the case. I immediately contacted pet meadow through their website, which does not give any direct contact or email so I submitted a message through the website. After not receiving word back, I called Pet Meadow and spoke with Cindy. I explained the situation and was directed to a email where I sent images and a brief explanation. Days later, I called back since I still never received word and was sent to a voicemail. I have contacted Pet Meadow on three different occasions since July 10th and STILL haven't received a response. Extremely disappointing and heartbreaking, I was excited to have a little piece of my best friend and can't believe that this is what I was given and can't believe no one has responded back to remedy this. I'm so sorry I didn't read any of the reviews before hiring them. They are completely incompetent. They don't care that you are grieving over the loss of your beloved pet. They never answer the phone. Never return your call. After I left a message about how frustrated I was and to not pick up my dog at the animal hospital, they still picked her up. Why not just call me and let me know they had her? Instead, the other company that I hired, drove to pick her up and she wasn't there. Such heartless awful people. All they had to do was return a phone call. How hard is that? I ended up using Rest in Peace in Secaucus. AMAZING!!! They are the opposite of Pet Meadow and were able to do everything on the same day. Please spare yourself grief and stay away from Pet Meadow. read more

We brought him to our vet the next day and they handled the remains We received his ashes today in a lovely wooden box with his name on it as well as his paw print. There is no rating that could adequately describe the blatant scam this company is. How they can continue doing business taking advantage of the bereaved is a complete mystery to me. Pet owners who lose their trusted and faithful companions truly deserve more care and compassion from the undertaker they contract to take care of their pet's remains. I had to unfortunately put down my fur baby Fergie . That was June 12 2023 . I had her cremated . The individual at Red bank veterinarian hospital asked me if I wanted a paw print from Fergie and I did I love that cat OK I wanted it. I just received Fergie now. Today is June 11 from Pet Meadow please take note that Red bank veterinarian suggested to use them. The only person that they suggested to use was pet meadow. There was no paw print in the box. I opened up the actual piece that she was cremated in the in the box it wasn't in there, but they put a receipt in it inside the box with the cremation of Fergie, there was a receipt I called over to Red bank veterinarian hospital and I asked to speak to someone in regards to the situation I got passed around hung up on/disconnected. Whatever to speak to the manager CAROL finally I got to speak to Carol and regards to the situation ration and I was very annoyed that all I did was get passed around and hung up on that her excuse was I don't manage them but you were a manager at the vet but you don't manage the people upfront they told me or she told me that John from Pet Meadows was going to reach out to me that it wasn't their fault it had to of been John's . it doesn't matter who's fault it is I think anybody would be upset, losing their animal, and was expecting her cremated as well as the paw print. They didn't do what they were supposed to do. There's nothing you could do to rectify the situation. I paid a lot of money to have her cremated. I would not use Red bank veterinarian hospital or Pet Meadow ever I am so upset and angry and disappointed. Would not recommend. You can see my google review. They replied and said the delay in getting my paw print was because my pet Lucy had a not not decided on her paperwork. This was not true. I have the credit card receipt from pet meadow the the day she arrived. All was settled. They just forgot to call me for two weeks. I would have felt better if they at least took ownership of their error. Many other places to go in NJ with much better reviews. Don't let your loved pet go to this place. The time came when I had to say goodbye to my best friend in the world, the love of my life, my beloved doggie Queen. The staff at PetMeadow were excellent since the beginning to the end. I called so many times for information on the cremation and even for emotional support (Thanks Debbie). To all the people that know how it feels to go through this horrible and extremely painful experience, I assure you that at PetMeadow they really go above and beyond their capabilities to comfort you during this difficult time. I thank the people at PetMeadow for treating my Queen with respect and compassion, and to anybody that's reading this while going through the pain of the loss of your best friend, I am deeply sorry.
