My dog LOVES Pet Palace and I cannot recommend them enough!! We had a GREAT experience in daycare and tried training sessions with trainer Jake. Jake is a patient and knowledgeable trainer, who truly connects with the animals. We had our second home transition session today, and even though my dog hasn't seen Jake in a couple of weeks, he was so excited to see Jake. My Mother's dog "Orero" a pomopoo was boarded here for two nights. The experience was great. My Mom was able to check in on her as often as she liked. Oreo seemed to have done well here. The rates here seem affordable and my Mom even added play time. Since the stay, we have seen some improvement in her socialization with other dogs in the community. I look forward to boarding my baby here when he's fully vaccinated and out of his baby stage. read more

I have taken my dog here for years and the team is so kind. They love her and are patient with her. They even have a nickname for her and give me a report after each day. When we had challenges, Gabe spent about 20 minutes talking to me about what to do, how to think about being a pet parent and was just encouraging. They are a great team and my dog LOVES going! We are truly amazed at the staff at Pet Palace, Cary! Our dogs literally cry once we enter the parking lot as they are eager to get in. We've come across different boarding facilities but none have compared to Pet Palace. Staff is very welcoming and provide a super clean facility. We can tell our dogs are well taken care of as they are wagging their tails and kissing the staff when we pick up. Highly recommend this place! read more

I have been bringing my two french bulldogs Mabel and Milo on a regular basis. They tell you pick up time is by 2 pm. I was 18 minutes late and they would not waive an entire additional nights stay for being 18 minutes late. Instead they said there is a grace period between noon and 2 pm. well if that is the case, they should be saying pick up time is by noon, as if pick up time is by 2 pm there is zero grace period. they were unwilling to waive the entire night fee for 18 minutes and would rather lose a customer that pays thousands of dollars a year. It makes zero business sense. Also, at K9 resorts in apex your dogs get free playtimes during boarding and they are all day, not just 30 minute sessions. Plus, when I saw the play area at Pet Palace I started to cry, as the area is only ten feet by eight feet maybe and the dogs just run around in a small circle. there are no toys, no space for them to run or jump on things. just the smallest area possible for them to continually run in circles. for a place that charges so much money, refuses to give customers any kindness, this is appalling!! take your pets to K9 Resorts where they are loved, with large play areas, no extra charges doe pets to run around in circles in an inhumanely small area. Plus the manager that makes minimum wage and refused to give a waiver to a repeat customer being 18 minutes late, you need to get a life!! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Under staffed. Over booked. I paid extra to have a camera in my dogs suite they told me they were going to take her out at 7 AM, 12 o'clock and 9 PM and then in between she would have playtime. I watched her go into her kennel around 7-8pm and not be let out again until 8:30- 9 AM. EVERYDAY! THATS 13-14 hours. Forced to be stuck in the kennel. How is she supposed to hold her bladder that long. I can't do it. So why would i make my dog do it?! Why pay Why pay extra for a doggy tv if they can't see it or hear it? All they hear is the screaming, barking and heavy metal music playing throughout the facility. As if it wasn't chaotic enough without that insane music. You also had that music loud at the front desk when I was checking in my dog. No one even considered turning it down. I had to talk over it in order to get what little attention I could from the front desk staff. Not happy to be there. It was clear. Everyone on your staff just acted like it was completely normal to have aggrivatubg music playing THROUGHOUT the building. I made a suggestion that at if you would play calming music in the facility, the dogs would not be so anxious. The TV could've been used to play calming music instead of dead silence, and they can't even see the screen. I was so excited when we first pulled up, thinking that because it was big and pretty looking that it would be nice, but sadly that's not the case. I knew they were understaffed by the conversation I had with one of them on the phone after watching my dog on camera and seeing how long it took her to go to the bathroom each day and seeing how long she sat in her kennel rather than being let out to play or being walked, which I also paid extra for . NOT COOL. My dog is a senior dog so being forced to hold her bladder and #2 since (she will not go inside) was like a form of torture for her. I felt like the staff could've cared less about my dog . I will definitely never take her here again. I couldn't wait to get her out. Also, I was charged for EVERY little thing. So crappy. I felt like I was rescuing her from jail. She jumped (remember shes a senior she doesn't jump, but did to get away) in the car so fast I could tell how unhappy she was. Sorry I wish I had something nice to say but I don't. :( read more

We've been using them for a few years for boarding and grooming, but they've gone seriously downhill. Our dogs have come back with kennel cough the last several times they've stayed there, despite being vaccinated. Staff always hassles me about Bordatella vaccination records at the last minute, but I've recently found out that they allow people to just sign a waiver when it comes to this. A waiver offers no protection to other pets boarding there. The groomers have started to arbitrarily refuse to groom one of our dogs for reasons that are honestly hard to believe. They'll call me during an appointment and ask me to pick the dog up because they won't finish the job. It's difficult to get a grooming appointment in this area and doing this on such short notice leaves me and my dog with no options. read more

I would give them 100 stars if I could. My dog had a medical emergency (due to an existing condition) late one Saturday afternoon and into the evening while boarded here. I was unable to come get him so Ava and Sierra took him (in pouring rain) to an emergency vet after Pet Palace closed and sacrificed their Saturday night to stay with him. Honestly, he might not have made it through the night if no one could have or would have taken him to the emergency vet. No person or business is perfect and I'm sure there are people who have had a bad experience with Pet Palace, but know these folks have your pet's best interests at heart. read more

I have a very, very outgoing dog and one that is extremely shy. Both dogs are met with loving kindness at every visit. I've been a customer at many play/boarding facilities in the past. This is the only one that not only takes great care of the animals, but cares for their staff as well. It is so nice to drop off the pups with staff they know and love!!! read more

Initially when this place was new we really liked it. There was a great groomer who was very good to our dogs, but she has since left and been replaced by a groomer who seems to hate our dogs. She often refuses to groom one of our dogs citing various dubious reasons, and our dog now has such a strong fear response to her that she urinates at the sight of this woman. We switched groomers, but continued to use this place for boarding because we thought the other staff loved our dogs. I do think the staff are great with our dogs during their boarding and know the dogs well, but every time they come home from boarding we end up needing to take them to the vet and they get diagnosed with kennel cough. Our dogs are always up to date on their vaccines, but the staff are not good about obtaining records of this and don't tell us until the day before or day of dropping them off that they need proof. They will tell us that their vaccine expired at a random date totally off from their vaccine schedule. One time they told us it was not a problem if they didn't have a recent bordatella vaccine as long as we signed a waiver, which probably explains how our dogs get bordatella every time despite being properly vaccinated. We are now switching boarding too. I gave it two stars because the dogs do seem to like the boarding staff and I think the boarding staff genuinely cares about them. read more

The carelessness of Pet Palace's staff put our dogs health in potentially serious jeopardy. A few days into his stay our dog, who is not on any medication, was recklessly given the medication of another dog. Medication that was at twice the dosage for a dog his size. When this occurred Pet Palace did not contact our vet, who was open at the time (why even have us fill out this information on the form if you won't contact them?), but instead they "did their research" to determine if our dog would be ok after being irresponsibly dosed. While we appreciated the honesty of being told what had happened, deciding to not inform us about it until a full 24 hours after it had occurred was beyond unprofessional and left us fearful for the wellbeing of our dog during the remainder of his stay. Because of this incident, we ended our vacation early to get our dog out of Pet Palace as soon as possible. How did Pet Palace attempt to make amends? A sorry and waving the fee for picking him up early. We had to pay in full for the "services" our dog received. We went out of our way and drove 45 min from our home because we thought Pet Palace would be the safest place for our dog and would offer him the most care and attention. We couldn't have been more wrong. We will not be returning and STRONGLY recommend against anyone trusting their loved ones in the care of Pet Palace. read more

Never taking my dog here again. We made it crystal clear on the intake and guest information forms that our dog does not like other dogs, and they put him in a suite front and center directly facing the dog play area. We knew he was stressed and constantly barking during his entire 5 day stay because his vocals were extremely strained when we picked him up. In all his 7 years of life, I have never heard my dog sound that way. Seems like common sense to not put a dog that doesn't like other dogs near an area where he's constantly facing other dogs. Other boarding facilities we have used offer boards/covers to put over the suite doors to prevent this type of stress. To top it off, there was a huge puddle of urine in the middle of the lobby that our dog had to walk through to exit the building. Multiple employees were sitting at the desk/present in the lobby during that time and nobody seemed concerned about cleaning it up?? read more

My first visit since moving here and the Worst groom my 8 year old shichon has ever received. He's unrecognizable. He was overgrown and had some matting but they basically shaved him, cut 2inches off his ears (unevenly), unevenly cut his muzzle hair, cut off his lashes entirely and did some weird lionesque thing with his tail. It will probably take months for him to look like himself again. In the meantime I'm going to hunt for a new groomer. read more
