Our dogs love~ love~ love Pet Paradise.....Our Shepherd, Charley enjoys the pool and our little guy Corbin has a blast interacting with the other dogs. Manager Cherie and staff have always been caring and accommodating. The only thing I would suggest is that they try to post pics of all the dogs and cats boarding with them. My pets stay a lot and I never see them on FB, but see tons of other pets...They always tell me how wonderful my dogs and kitty are, but no photos (unless I pay for them to be sent in an email, which i have done) but I want mine to be as important as anybody elses, I'm proud of them :) ....overall, i can't think of any other place I would take my pets for boarding in the area, its very convenient if flying out of MSY and not sooo far out of the way if your aren't. I also like that they have a rewards program through flok and are very involved in fundraising and taking in donations. read more

Once again when we picked up Sunny from her stay at Pet Paradise she was reluctantly to leave even though she was happy to see us. Her response to be reluctant to leave indicated how happy she was while staying at Pet Paradise. All those hands to pet her, all her four legged friends to run with, and, of course, "her" pool. Excellent place for pets! I bring my dog here for day camp when I can't be home and she LOVES it, she gets to swim in the pool and play with other dogs. Every time I drop her off she's so excited to go in. She is always exhausted when she comes home from her busy day! 10/10 recommend. I am always apprehensive to leave my fur babies with anyone. That being said I tried Pet Paradise for the first time at Mardi Gras. They were tremendously busy , but my babies were happy and looking great when I picked them up. They were supposed to get a g"go home bath" but it was overlooked. They immediately rectified it and gave them baths for free the next time. Then I used them again when we went out of town very far away. They again came back happy and looking great. I even got to watch them play on the video feed. As a worried mama that was really reassuring to me. They are also scheduled for an overnight when I throw my husband a very large party at my house. They are very accommodating and always ready to answer any questions if I call with any anxiety. It really goes a long way to help settle my anxiety. We have also seen the manager out in public at a dog rescue event (and not because they were a sponsee.)That shows me she really cares about her charges. I will use them as my go to from now on. I would have given them 4 1/2 stars but don't know how to do that on my iPad. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Rebecca groomed my baby and did an awful job. His hair was uneven, his cut was choppy, his paws had the hair cut in between, so they were still covered in fur, but looked like fingers. His eye had a chunk cut from it and his facial hair was uneven. His paw pads weren't completely clipped, he had hair flying everywhere AND on top of that, he developed an eye infection that they wouldn't fess up to in the same eye the groomer gouged. We took our three dogs when we went on vacation and I can not say enough good things about the place. All three of our dogs are rescues with varying degrees of separation anxiety, but all three did really well. They sent photos of us from them on our vacation which was a real comfort, especially when I could see all three were happy. All three dogs upon pickup looked wonderful and we will totally use them again. read more

I just dropped my dogs off for a stay during our Christmas trip to Vegas. The staff was soooo helpful with making sure I had their vaccines updated and checking on Paco's skin condition and getting his meds in the system for his stay. Sherry was so helpful and letting me get my crew of 5 checked in the day before so we could make our early flight Christmas Eve morning. When we arrived at 6 am, and I walked in, everyone was standing there ready to go with their Christmas Eve holiday cheery attitudes!!! They had all 5 dogs taken care of in 5 mins! This was such a smooth process and we made it to airport in time for breakfast!! read more

Honestly, this place is a joke, I wanted to set a appointment for my 10 month year old puppy for doggy daycare. My husband had a tour by one of the girls and it was great, but when He began to ask her questions on pricing there seemed to be confusion, so when I asked for her manger, Cheri came up and it seemed she didn't even know the prices!! That's a bit ridiculous, and very unprofessional. As a future customer I was very disappointed. She was very sarcastic and very rude, if you ask me that is not public relations. It seems to be that the staff is super sweet and affectionate and truly care about the dogs, but the management is horrible. Pet paradise should really consider hiring a manger who has people skills when dealing with the public. read more

I called pretty last minute and they were able to take both of my pups for the weekend. They called me a few hours after I left to give me an update on my babies. Disclaimer, this review is based on a site visit and interview with Pet Paradise staff. I was so turned off by the visit that I never opted to pay for their services. I have a 7 month old dog who will need doggy day care. Basically the place has no active manager. They either quit or left and the "senior staff" left at this location are basically doing double duty, working as your dog's attendants and trying to do management work they might not know how to do. With all due respect, everyone labeled "senior staff" looked very young and it didn't seem fair to them or the dogs that everyone has to play "manager." When I asked when there would be a new manager, there was a looooong pause. If it's taking that long to attract and train a manager, this is a disaster waiting to happen. I'd rather wait until they get this figured out. Otherwise, the facilities smelled clean and the dogs didn't looked stressed. The people however, did look stressed and spread very thin. read more

I have taken my dog to Pet Paradise a few times for extended stay. I would like to give the place 5 stars but I cannot. I will give my reason below. Pros: Clean and spacious cages (a big plus), friendly staff, an outdoor play area with a pool. Cons: It is expensive. Plus, if your dog's stay falls on a holiday they will charge you additional money for that day. One can easily end up paying hundreds of dollars for extended boarding stay. I wish Pet Paradise had more ways to give customers relief from their pricing. Extending play time for boarding dogs would also bump up my review rating. Two 20 minute sessions are beyond short. Sure, you can purchase additional play time for your dog at ten dollars per additional play. However, that raises an already high price of boarding - to over $50 a day. Please, Pet Paradise, give the boarding dogs more than 2 x 20 minutes of play time a day. Taking care of the dogs when the owners are not around is your business. Make the dogs and their owners happy. So, I am giving Pet Paradise three stars for cleanliness and spacious cages and I am taking two stars away for high prices and shot play times. read more

I had placed reservations for both of my dogs to come here for thanksgiving. I hadn't heard anything about this place before except for their billboard by Louis Armstrong airport. After having no luck finding boarding for my up and coming trip up north, I decided to call pet paradise. Luckily they had availability. I went here today to bring my dogs vaccinations in before our trip and to check out their facility. Walking in, everything was extremely clean. I was greeted instantly by their courteous staff and I was able to check out where my fur babies are going to be. Everything was up to par. I was most concerned about their play area. We went out back and there was about ten dogs running and jumping having a wonderful time jumping in and out of the giant bone shaped pool they have. I walked around with Brittany was answered every single question I had and went above and beyond. This place has surpassed my standards and I am so excited and relieved to be dropping off my dogs there. I can't wait to drop them off ! read more

I would have given this establishment one star but because the morning staff that greeted us at pick-up were pleasant I'll gladly give two stars. We dropped off our furry babies on Wednesday night on November 23, 2017, after being on the rode for 12 hours. I have always been greeted, in the past and no matter what time, by friendly and courteous Pet Paradise staff members. However, this evening we were greeted with rudeness and unprofessionalism. The manager, Cheri Duhon and the assistant manager, Sean Rogers were both there and surprisingly they were the individuals displaying very poor customer service. I was asked by Sean if we had our dog's shot records but his tone was rude and demanding. We have not utilized Pet Paradise for maybe two years or more and we were not aware of the new policy (effective August 2017) that you could not bring personal items for your pets. Additionally, we weren't made aware of this upon check-in. So when I asked if my dogs could use their own bowls I was answered by Cheri with an attitude and snappy response as though I was a child that she was chastising. Without knowing about the new policy, I was trying to explain that my dogs, typically, will not eat out other bowls than their own. Cheri, rudely, replied that if there was a problem "we'll call you." My husband then pointed out the paper taped to the counter that highlighted the new policy. Which no one still had made reference to....if they would have in the beginning I would have understood instead of having an unnecessary exchange with a manager that clearly does not understand the meaning of quality customer service. When Cheri took our dogs to the back I expressed my displeasure with how we were treated to Sean and he never once stopped what he was doing, give me eye contact and act like an assistant manager by addressing the issue. I was so upset that I truly did not want to leave my dogs. Unfortunately it was a holiday and I had no other choice but to leave them; from the beginning we never felt welcomed. For the sake of future clientele, I hope Cheri and Sean brush up on their customer service skills or this establishment will continue to receive reviews like this. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We boarded our 6 rescued pups for Thanksgiving week 11-19-18 to 11-24-18. We went to view the resort two months prior to our vacation, put the deposit down, and requested side by side rooms, that faced the pool area. They guaranteed this. Upon Arrival, every employee was at the front desk, not a singe person appeared to know what was going on. Talk about completely disorganized. None of our dogs had name tags ready, so they scrounged to make name tags. Two of our 6 pups need daily meds which means that they are to put a hot pink tag on their neck, it took 3 different times to get Gracie's right. Not sure why they do not have the proper tags. We left with such an uneasy feeling. While we were out of town I called to check on our pups, each time I was put on hold for over 10 minutes each, once having to call back. I was told that the dogs were on the other side of the building not where we requested them to be. Then I was told that I would receive a call when they were moved to the correct area. Never received a call. I called again, and was told the same thing. When we went to pick them up on Saturday they brought the dogs out to us. They were covered in urine, literally covered, it was horrible, the smell was worse than a truck stop bathroom, then they gave us the leftover food. So we pre packaged each dogs food in individual ziploc's and placed them in big bags with each dogs name prior to boarding to make it easy on the employees. Well 3 meals were never distributed to each pup. ON TOP of that two of our pups who need medication, were never given to them. Gracie's thyroid meds were not given to her, 3 pills were never given, which mean she could've died. Neither were Rosco's. When we got home Gracie, Sophie, Rosco and Lola cowered down as if they were terrified of being touched. All 6 of our pups are rescues that previously came from horrible abusive backgrounds, so seeing this almost killed me. So needless to say this was the worst experience boarding. Someone needs to take over this location and do a complete overhaul. read more

In general, I was satisfied with Pet Patadise this last time I boarded my black lab. I love seeing pictures of him having fun with the other dogs! However, I left feeling very disappointed with their grooming services. I had requested to have my dog's nails clipped. I have a difficult time doing it myself, which is why I requested their groomer do it. His nails were badly in need of a trim. Prior to leaving the facility, I heard the groomer say out loud she was going to get my dog and trim his nails right then because she was leaving soon. I saw her go in the back, calling his name, so I assumed she was doing it right then as she told the associate behind the counter that's where she was going. . I was very disappointed when I returned two days later to pick him up to find his nails were not trimmed at all. The manager did credit my account to be used the next time I board my dog there. I definitely will board him there again so this is helpful, however I will not request any grooming services in the future. read more

I have been sending my dog Otis to Pet Paradise for years.For boarding & grooming.The staff is the best.They care for Otis with so much love.The kennel for each pet is very large.They have play time & a beautiful bone shape pool that the dogs just love.All areas of the property inside & out is kept so clean...And Otis just loves to get a bathe .Groomers are the best & do such a great job on Otis.The prices at Pet Paradise are very affordable . Everytime we walk in there is a new manager. Some of the employees seem to really know and care about the dogs (thanks Sam) while others seem fake and don't know a thing. I've been bringing my dogs there for a long time (over 5 years) and I just don't trust the care anymore. The price has gone way up but the level of care hasn't changed. The employees seem overworked (having talked to some) and overwhelmed. I won't bring my dogs there anymore. Management is poor and inconsistent. read more

My 4 year german shepherd died at the location in Kenner, Louisiana. The only phone call I received was from an employee with a Houston cell phone number who stated she died in her sleep and they had transported her body to Pet Care Center because my veternarian was not open. I had LSU do an autopsy on my dog and she died of stomach torsion because she was fed solid food, digested too much water from the dog pool and played intensely after her feeding. I left her own food to use and specifically stated she is to be fed soft food for the evening feeding. She never had bloat in her lifetime. This was complete negligence on the Kennel's part. Bella did not die a peaceful death in her sleep. It was horrible and when she was found, it had to be a terrible mess. I have asked for a report or who was the last employee to check on her and at what time. No phone calls- Nothing! She was beautiful and lovable dog and if I would have boarded her at her veterinarian, she would be alive today. I will never recommend your kennel because of its lack of care of the animals and basic knowledge on how to care for them. read more

I love pet paradise and I believe the dogs love it as well as they are always excited when we pull up. But, there are a couple of things I believe they should change. 1) When I am calling the location I am dropping them off at, during working hours, I want to speak with someone physically at that location I don't want to be put to a main hub. 2) I think they need to change their rule on the 24 hour notice to drop off before or after hours. There are obviously people there 24 hours a day but I was told that unless you book 24 hours in advance there isn't anyone there to check you in. Sometimes plans change and you don't have control over it and the lady on the phone with me didn't seem to care or want to help out. I mean how hard is it to check someone in, I believe if I was talking to the actual staff at the location I could have had my issue resolved, thus why I want to talk to someone physically working at my drop off location. read more

I've been bringing my mixed breed dog here for about a year and a half. She loves it! She starts wagging her tail and whining with glee when we get close to the building. She will nose the door open and non-stop tail wagging when we enter the lobby. I love it when we see a familiar face and they know my girl by name. We are a big fan of their daycare. She comes home tired and content. I have also left her overnight for stints of 1-7 days. When I've had to leave her for a long time, I'll call and check on her. They are always very kind and will happily go check on her progress and will report back to me without any attitude of huff. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is they seem to have high employee turnover. We are on our 3rd general manager. I like her a lot and hope she stays! Also, the front desk employees seem to turn over frequently. Every employee has been kind and courteous. It would be nice if they (the employees) stayed longer for better continuity of care. I highly recommend and continue to use their facility frequently. read more
