This is strike 2 and I feared the risk of waiting until strike 3 to never return. I dropped my 2 dogs off for doggy daycare. When I picked them up after work, they were brought into the lobby smelling of urine. They left wet paw prints on the floor. When I got them into the car, the urine smell was overwhelming. I went back in and asked the woman at the front desk why the dogs reeked of urine. She actually asked, "what do you want me to do about it?". I replied maybe return the dogs in the same condition as when they were dropped off. She said maybe they rolled in it outside. Rolled in urine? Um, ok. Thank God I have a dog cover over the back seat of the car. It was soaked. Their collars and leashes were wet and reeked as well. I had the enjoyment of running everything through the wash and giving the dogs 3 rounds of bathing each to get the smell out of their fur. They were obviously kept in their kennels without being let out to relieve themselves. Both dogs are housebroken and well behaved. Not a way I want to spend my evening after working all day. Not to mention that doggie daycare is not cheap. The first strike was when I came to pick them up and while I was waiting for them to come out, a very large aggressive dog named "Tarzan" came in with his owner and the owner had no control over him. The female front desk staff wouldn't take him back to his kennel. They had to call a male to the front that could handle him. My dogs had to be kept behind glass doors until it was safe for them to come out. That's a huge liability on Pet Palace if that dog hurts another person or dog. We have boarded our 3 large dogs here. They are always happy to go here. Very easy check in and out. Gave one of the dogs his medication when he was not doing well and in a doggy diaper The staff sent a very sweet card when one of our dogs passed away. I have absolutely NOTHING bad to say about this place. I've been boarding my 60lb Pitbull here since September and every time I drop her off she never acts like she's scared or doesn't want to go. The staff is so nice and I can tell they love Nala just as much as she loves them. One of the major things I love is that I'm able to pay just a little extra for a webcam suite so I'm able to see my baby while I'm away. It gives me a peace of mind knowing I can check on her whenever! read more

Will not be bringing my business back here. My family has been boarding our dog with this company since 2016. They just recently raised their prices across the board without even letting their loyal, long time customers know that this change had been made. Not only did they leave us in the dark about the price changes, they also changed their pick up time policy without letting us know. You can imagine how shocked we were when we were charged an extra day's worth for picking up our dog at our usual time! I do not know what is going on with the company (if it's under new management etc) however, the building smells like urine, and the staff is not welcoming. With the up-charge of prices you would think that the staff would be friendly and the building would be clean!!! read more

This place is horribly run. The store manager / lead manager Melissa is rude and disrespectful. My cat was boarded there and ended up with an injury. No one could tell me what happened other than to blame my cat by causing his own injury. Her telling me the injury was caused by him rubbing up on something. But there was nothing other than his bed he rubs on in his condo. Mind you this nitwit has no veterinary or medical background just her uneducated opinion. Nobody is accountable here. All they give are one excuse after anothet excuse. I would not ever recommend this place. While waiting to check out the check in staff we're talking about a pet parent and how horrible their dog was right in front of other clients. So unprofessional. The so called store manager started getting an attitude with me I couldn't believe it. I told her she needed to tone her nastiness down and be more respectful. At my job if I were to ever speak to or treat a client the way I was treated and my manager heard it. The least I would get was written up the worst fired. I walked out and came back and another lead manager Cass took over. All I heard from her is everyone is stressed out, understaffed, they had over 200 dogs plus cats in house and to not take what happened to me personally. Again more excuses and no accountability for the employee's despicable behavior. Don't trust these people with your fur babies you might not be so lucky to have them come out unscathed. I tried to contact the District Manager Cassie who was supposed to be at this location today but I was ignored both by phone and text. When I asked the staff to call her they told me she was unavailable to them to. I don't believe that at all. District Managers are always available if needed. Once again shows lack of concern for the pet and pet parent and all about the almighty dollar. read more

Everyone this place has GREATLY changed over the last year, year and a half, and for the better! They have all new staff members that really care about your animals and their managers are the nicest people you will ever meet. My dogs are always well taken care of, I know they get lots of love and exercise while they are there. The staff makes sure if my dog does not do well in their play groups for any reason that they will call me and let me know what happened. I get it dogs can have bad days but just knowing that they will call me for any reason is a great relief when leaving my babies there for more then a few days. I highly recommend this location if you ever need to board your babies. read more

We tried them 3 times. Figured it must be us as new dog owners having too high of expectations. First time they could not find the records we emailed and faxed, they made us perform a fire drill to get the vet records. Told us she would have play time with other dogs even after we explained she was a giant breed and does not get spayed until 3rd heat. "Oops" they said, must have been a mid-communication. We start seeing Incompetence. Second time: day before we drop her off, we now need a flu shot. Day before our trip. Fire drill with Vet. You need a great vet? Southpoint in Belmont. They consistently helped us out when Pet Palace dropped the ball. Third time: paid for one room, they put in a different lower cost room and still charge us. Incompetence. We bring our own bed, they say she was chewing on it ( never did at home, means they created an environment in which she was anxious) and " it's not our job to monitor your dog"....WTF is your job? I pay $300plus for 5 days and you don't watch my dog? Incompetence. I bring food for the week and when I get home , she missed 6 meals? WTF. 6 meals? No answer. Use at the risk of your pup. Other options available. Never again will I trust them to do anything. And when I called to ask for answers???? That is the best, the person on the other end of the phone agreed that they should have done better, but did not know how to actually refund the money, and the manager and owners were not available till " maybe like tomorrow ". I apologize that this is not a direct review of this business. HOWEVER- I live on the same street as a woman who has told me she works here. This morning, her pit bull ran out of her house without a leash and she was DRAGGING this poor boy by the collar, his feet weren't even on the ground, and kicked him on the way back into her house. She was extremely angry and cursing and yelling at him. I was with my two friends walking my dog and all of our faces were in complete awe. Please do not bring your animal here, I would hate to see how this woman treats them behind the scenes. My heart broke for that dog and we all agreed she probably went inside and beat him. read more

Quick Background: We have two boxers (age 3 and 1), who had never been boarded before and have only been separated from each other once, for 10 hours, when our youngest was neutered. We are lucky to have family and friends who have, until this Thanksgiving holiday, been available to care for our dogs when we are not. We decided to give Pet Palace a try as our first ever boarding experience. My intention in this review is to thoroughly share our experience to make other dog owners aware of the level of care your pets will receive with Pet Palace, especially during a busy holiday. What I came to find is that Pet Palace is very reactive vs. proactive. They will right their wrongs, but only when you call to tell them of their wrongs, which means you need to have a suite with a camera and spend your time watching it to know the lack of care your pets are receiving. Missing Dog: Our direction was to keep our dogs together at all times, with the exception of feeding. Our oldest is on a prescription diet, due to GI issues, and they sometimes like to try eating each other's food, so we were trying to avoid upsetting his stomach. After dropping our dogs off at 4:30pm the day before Thanksgiving, ours dogs were not separated to eat until 9:30pm. We paid for a suite with a camera, but unfortunately, our youngest was not moved to another suite with a camera (even though one was available) so we had no idea where he was. On the first night of their stay, the Pet Palace employees left for the night with our youngest not in the suite we paid for him to be in - where we couldn't see him, away from his brother, with NOTHING from his home (bed, toys, nothing). We had to call back to back on Thanksgiving morning until they answered (3rd time's a charm) to find out where our dog was. They made the decision to keep them separated the entire night because they were not eating. If they had fed them at a normal hour, they would've had plenty of time to call me to make that call for them (which would've been to put them back together...) before they left for the night. Shortly after asking to put them back together and keeping them together for feedings moving forward (since they clearly couldn't deliver on what we asked for), the district manager called - she apologized profusely, comped the first night and upgraded our dogs to a larger suite. I appreciate that call and the effort to make it right with what she could control, but the damage had already been done. Consistent Accidents: Pet Palace was very clearly not staffed adequately for the number of pets they were caring for over this holiday. Every morning, until I called them out on it (remember, reactive), our youngest dog was having an accident in their suite. Staff arrives just before their 7am opening, but our dogs were not taken out until after 8 on Thursday and Friday. This means they were having to hold their bladders for over 12-13 hours, and once our youngest saw people there early in the morning, he couldn't hold it any longer. One day, they sat in their suite with pee all over for over an hour before someone came in to clean it up. When we reserved the suite the week prior, we were told they would be taken out 3X/day, and we paid extra to have two 30 min group play sessions per day on top of that. We weren't told until the day we dropped them off that they wouldn't be doing the play sessions on Thanksgiving, which would've played a role in our decision to keep them there. I'm also almost positive our dogs were only taken out twice on Thanksgiving. BOTH dogs had an accident in the suite that day, and I can't tell you the last time our 3 year old had an accident in the house. You can also see the other suites with cameras, where I observed other dogs having had accidents that day. When they finally had their group play time on Friday, our youngest supposedly punctured his own mouth with his tooth...just icing on the cake. No Toys = Ruined $70 Bed: We provided 4-5 toys to be kept with our dogs during their stay. None of them were put in their suite on the first day, and I had to ask them to (again, reactive) on Thursday morning when I called to find out where our other dog was. After an accident in the suite on Friday, one of the employees took the toys out and never put them back - so, when our youngest dog who typically entertains himself for hours with toys didn't have any to play with, he resorted to his recently purchased $70 bed. In summary, I couldn't be more disappointed and outraged by the lack of care my dogs were given at Pet Palace. They were not properly staffed to handle that many pets over the holiday, and it was clear that the staff they did have was not properly trained. I considered giving two stars for the effort made by the district manager, but at the end of the day, being reactive simply does not cut it in this line of business. I would not recommend Pet Palace to anyone. read more

My pup and I are absolutely thrilled with Pet Palace. She has been for both boarding and daycare services. The facility is impressively clean and the staff is wonderful. They are knowledgeable, loving and friendly. I have a rescue dog who they have gone out of their way to work on getting comfortable. Thanks Pet Palace! read more

The facility is very well kept, wide open and seems nice and the staff all seem very nice from who we have interacted with. However, we have used them before daycare and boarding a few times and the price for the service is crazy. For overnight boarding we got a medium suite and also had to pay extra for play time... we were also told that the dogs are let out for 30 minute periods because they really get too tired for any longer than that. Aside from a bathroom break the dogs that have extra playtime paid for are only let out at 9 am and 1 pm... that is hardly time to interact and play and then they are just left in the 'suites' for the rest of the day and night?? The large facility and convenient location are not worth the prices and services. read more
