Many vets in town use their service, and it was going to cost an extra $65 for picking up her body and returning her cremains so I took her out myself. The staff there is extremely kind. I got to spend extra time with her in a mourning room. I was offered getting a lock of her hair and a paw print if I wanted, but I declined. I was told that I would probably be able to pick her up the following week I received a call about two days later. Her crews were presented to me in a beautiful satin blue bag. The ground was still too hard, so she is sitting on my altar, and though it has rained and the ground is soft enough to dig, the time is not right to say my total goodbye yet. I highly recommend Fond Memories.

The receptionist reassured us they trusted this service and that my boy, whom I loved for 16 years, would have a private solo cremation which I very much demanded for. When I received his ashes and , I was deeply touched. Everything was done so elegantly and with great care. Nothing was missed -- they even kept his unique tail fur, something I forgot to ask for. I'm truly grateful for the compassion and respect they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life.

Dr. Imma came to our home and treated our old girl with grace and dignity, and she was able to peacefully pass with her family by her side, comfortable in her "spot." Oscar came to collect our kitty with a beautiful woven basket and cozy blankets and treated her with so much respect and kindness. I can't thank the entire staff enough for making this extremely difficult process as easy as possible. Truly a blessing in such a difficult time for our family.

Laura (with the gravel sounding voice)seemed confused and repeating herself and changed her mind about location and availability of personal to assist me . A different person showed up at my house who wasn't the person that they told me that was coming. My dog was in severe distress and pain. and the helper that was supposed put my baby in my car dropped my dog! and then put him in the back of my vehicle. We finally made to the appointment at the copperas cove animal hospital who treated us with care, and understanding and compassion. I CANNOT RECOMMEND PAWS IN PARADISE TO ANYONE THAT HAS A PET that needs euthanasia.

Edited to address the Google review response from Argos and include a photo of the slip they gave…read moreme stating hand delivery not porch dropoff: I have a copy of the slip I was given which does not state a porch dropoff if we're not home. It states hand delivery or pickup from your location. Which means when you called to schedule a day I made sure to be home all day as to not miss the delivery. Also referring to someone's beloved pet by animal or package is disgusting. Use language like pet or my pets name. A person is grieving show some humanity for crying out loud. If you're not equipped to deliver, DONT OFFER IT! I would've rather picked him up from any location rather than gone with this. Also, call someone when you guys messed up immediately. Don't ignore the issue and then respond when they write a review. Then still not even have the humanity to call me in response to the review rather than that pathetic response, maybe I would've updated it to say something nice if you had. Its called damage control. My pet was cremated by Argos and scheduled to be delivered to our home on Monday. We waited all day anxiously awaiting to receive him and never received a followup. I called yesterday at 3pm and was told he was delivered. I was then texted a photo of the front door he was dropped off at. Not our house...I freaked out and my husband drove around the neighborhood until he found the house. THANKFULLY, the woman who lived there was trying desperately to reunite us via FB since there was no contact information for us or even an Argos logo anywhere except when you open the paw print box there is a certification he was cremated by Argos. I am absolutely horrified that my beloved pet was dropped off like a food delivery with such little care and no information to lead the recipient in the event that this incorrect delivery happened to get him home. Why is there no confirmation followup that he was delivered? Why don't they text or e-mail that door image promptly following delivery so he could have been reunited with us immediately?? Imagining that if someone wasn't kind enough and/or didn't realize what this delivery was had just thrown him away or left him on their porch to picked up by a package thief then discarded makes me absolutely sick. How dare you assume that I am okay with a porch dropoff?? I was told he would be HAND DELIVERED. Which means someone would give him to me with respect not left on our doorstep. To add insult, I was told yesterday around 3:30 I would receive a call from a manager and haven't heard from them. I completely question their ethics on how they care for our beloved pets and I am sickened by this whole ordeal.

This was the place that our vet uses so we didn't do much research before hand, especially given…read morethe terrible situation we were in. Overall, if you must use this business, I highly suggest you Do Not purchase any of the "upgraded" packages. You will be severely disappointed, just as we were. We ordered the "Wood Package" which was to include a , "clay" paw print as stated on their website, however the one we got was a cheap planter type foam and the entire casing was very scratched. Its the ugliest thing and I don't see how anyone would think its ok to send it out this way. The package also includes a ink paw print, but its so severely smeared that it looks like someone just did it in an extreme hurry. (My toddler could've done better) but, thankfully I have my own prints that I managed to get the week before our dogs passing. And as for the "wood" urn, well no shocker, its also the cheapest and equally scratched up material. I would equate the feel to a balsa wood. I have since ordered a new wood urn online and its quality is 5x better than the junk Argos gave us. And no, it didn't cost 5x the price. It was the same amount we paid to "upgrade" our private cremation package. So its clear, that this place is either very cheap or simply lazy and careless when it comes to what they are selling. I will never allow any other pet of mine to be cremated at this facility.

They let me know about the option to do an "attended cremation" aka wake/viewing at their crematory location in Houston, which I opted to do. This Austin location offers a Pet Loss Support Group once a month, and I am SO GLAD I went as it was super healing and helpful for me to work through my grief of losing a pet. Almost two weeks passed with no update so I reached out to Pet meadows to inquire about the status of our pet's remains on 8-14-2026. I was told that our pet was processed and ready to ship via Fed Ex, but the driver didn't pick up the shipment they were supposed to that day. I asked for my pet to be returned to Aves, because I rather not ship him through FedEx. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and said he updated everything and our pet would be returned to Aves on Monday 8-17-2026. He stated that AVES would give me a call and I would receive a text from Pet Meadow. I waited until late afternoon on Tuesday (8-18-2026) and still did not hear from AVES or Pet Meadow. I called Pet Meadow and left a voicemail inquiring on the status of my pet. I received a voicemail from Michael at Pet Meadow which left me confused and concerned. I'm currently under the impression that my pet was already cremated and should have been returned to AVES by now. This voicemail (transcription attached) stated that they were behind on processing remains due to their AC being out for the last couple of weeks and that they did final quality control yesterday (8-17-2026). This does not match what I was told on 8-14-2026. I was told that my pet would arrive 8-19-2026 to AVES. At this point I'm concerned that something happened to my pet's remains. That brings us to today Friday 8-21-2026. I still have no updates. I contacted Pet Meadow and was rudely addressed by a woman there for wanting answers. She blamed AVES and hung up on me. I called Pet Meadow back and asked that this issue be escalated. Thankfully my pet was returned late in the day 8-19-2026. AVES did not get a chance to call, but Pet Meadows did not text me as promised. Where this leaves me... with the lack of accountability and the stories that don't match up... is what I received back my pet's remains? An AC being out for weeks in a crematorium in Houston, Texas, how were my pets remains handled during that time? I am waiting to hear back from Pet Meadow for a legal contact for my attorney to reach out requesting all records related to the care and handling of my pet's remains. I also need them to prove the remains returned to me are indeed my pet.
