Such great people here! Lost my Poseidon a little over a year ago! This is the most caring place. I'm your time of grief trust mission they have been around for many years and will care for your fur baby with the utmost care! Thank you!

Tonight we said goodbye to one of the most loving dogs there ever was. She brought so much joy into our family's lives. She loved to eat tortillas that my mother would make. She loved you unconditionally. She would listen to your problems and never judge you. She would check on everyone at night to make sure they were okay. She grew up with my little munchkin Veronica. She was the runt of the litter, but she had the biggest personality! Goodnight, Chiquita. Now you can run and play as much as you want. We will miss you, but you will live on in our hearts forever. See you on the other side, girl. That was my goodbye to our loving dog, Chiquita. Mr. Smidgens loves dogs and this was a very emotional time for me and my family. Chiquita had been with us for almost 16 years and she was a staple to the household I grew up in. Sadly when your beloved pet passes, what do you do? Well, thankfully there are places like Mission Pet Memorials that know exactly what to do and if having your furry loved one cremated is an option for you, they are just the place and people you need. Mission Funeral Home has served the Austin area since 1959 and is still locally owned and managed. They know that pets hold a special place within our families. It's never easy to say goodbye to our loved ones. The addition of Pet Memorials services helps them better serve families. They are professional and they charge a flat fee of $265 no matter the size of your furry loved one. They will dispatch transportation within a 25 mile radius of your location. They are available 365 days a year and 24 hours a day for your needs. They also make sure the ashes you get back are your actual loved one's. No mass cremations. I drove Chiquita from the vet to Mission. We went for one last ride down congress. I imagined her sticking her head out the window with her eyes closed, letting the wind rush over her face. This was a difficult time for us all, but the staff at Mission made the experience a little easier on us all. They are kind, courteous, and very understanding. Mr. Smidgens says to love your furry kids while you have them in your lives. Besitos, Chiquita.

Almost two weeks passed with no update so I reached out to Pet meadows to inquire about the status of our pet's remains on 8-14-2026. I was told that our pet was processed and ready to ship via Fed Ex, but the driver didn't pick up the shipment they were supposed to that day. I asked for my pet to be returned to Aves, because I rather not ship him through FedEx. The gentleman on the phone was very pleasant and said he updated everything and our pet would be returned to Aves on Monday 8-17-2026. He stated that AVES would give me a call and I would receive a text from Pet Meadow. I waited until late afternoon on Tuesday (8-18-2026) and still did not hear from AVES or Pet Meadow. I called Pet Meadow and left a voicemail inquiring on the status of my pet. I received a voicemail from Michael at Pet Meadow which left me confused and concerned. I'm currently under the impression that my pet was already cremated and should have been returned to AVES by now. This voicemail (transcription attached) stated that they were behind on processing remains due to their AC being out for the last couple of weeks and that they did final quality control yesterday (8-17-2026). This does not match what I was told on 8-14-2026. I was told that my pet would arrive 8-19-2026 to AVES. At this point I'm concerned that something happened to my pet's remains. That brings us to today Friday 8-21-2026. I still have no updates. I contacted Pet Meadow and was rudely addressed by a woman there for wanting answers. She blamed AVES and hung up on me. I called Pet Meadow back and asked that this issue be escalated. Thankfully my pet was returned late in the day 8-19-2026. AVES did not get a chance to call, but Pet Meadows did not text me as promised. Where this leaves me... with the lack of accountability and the stories that don't match up... is what I received back my pet's remains? An AC being out for weeks in a crematorium in Houston, Texas, how were my pets remains handled during that time? I am waiting to hear back from Pet Meadow for a legal contact for my attorney to reach out requesting all records related to the care and handling of my pet's remains. I also need them to prove the remains returned to me are indeed my pet.

It states hand delivery or pickup from your location. Which means when you called to schedule a day I made sure to be home all day as to not miss the delivery. Also referring to someone's beloved pet by animal or package is disgusting. Use language like pet or my pets name. A person is grieving show some humanity for crying out loud. If you're not equipped to deliver, DONT OFFER IT! I would've rather picked him up from any location rather than gone with this. Also, call someone when you guys messed up immediately. Don't ignore the issue and then respond when they write a review. Then still not even have the humanity to call me in response to the review rather than that pathetic response, maybe I would've updated it to say something nice if you had. Its called damage control. My pet was cremated by Argos and scheduled to be delivered to our home on Monday. We waited all day anxiously awaiting to receive him and never received a followup. I called yesterday at 3pm and was told he was delivered. I was then texted a photo of the front door he was dropped off at. Not our house...I freaked out and my husband drove around the neighborhood until he found the house. THANKFULLY, the woman who lived there was trying desperately to reunite us via FB since there was no contact information for us or even an Argos logo anywhere except when you open the paw print box there is a certification he was cremated by Argos. I am absolutely horrified that my beloved pet was dropped off like a food delivery with such little care and no information to lead the recipient in the event that this incorrect delivery happened to get him home. Why is there no confirmation followup that he was delivered? Why don't they text or e-mail that door image promptly following delivery so he could have been reunited with us immediately?? Imagining that if someone wasn't kind enough and/or didn't realize what this delivery was had just thrown him away or left him on their porch to picked up by a package thief then discarded makes me absolutely sick. How dare you assume that I am okay with a porch dropoff?? I was told he would be HAND DELIVERED. Which means someone would give him to me with respect not left on our doorstep. To add insult, I was told yesterday around 3:30 I would receive a call from a manager and haven't heard from them. I completely question their ethics on how they care for our beloved pets and I am sickened by this whole ordeal.

Overall, if you must use this business, I highly suggest you Do Not purchase any of the "upgraded" packages. You will be severely disappointed, just as we were. We ordered the "Wood Package" which was to include a , "clay" paw print as stated on their website, however the one we got was a cheap planter type foam and the entire casing was very scratched. Its the ugliest thing and I don't see how anyone would think its ok to send it out this way. The package also includes a ink paw print, but its so severely smeared that it looks like someone just did it in an extreme hurry. (My toddler could've done better) but, thankfully I have my own prints that I managed to get the week before our dogs passing. And as for the "wood" urn, well no shocker, its also the cheapest and equally scratched up material. I would equate the feel to a balsa wood. I have since ordered a new wood urn online and its quality is 5x better than the junk Argos gave us. And no, it didn't cost 5x the price. It was the same amount we paid to "upgrade" our private cremation package. So its clear, that this place is either very cheap or simply lazy and careless when it comes to what they are selling. I will never allow any other pet of mine to be cremated at this facility.

I didn't have my head straight when we discovered baby girl had passed and chose the first place for cremation on Google, which was a certain animal hospital that when we got there said we would get her back in a month. After a few days my husband and I decided that that was too long and we found eternal waters online, watched the video of the process and liked that it was more environmentally friendly than traditional cremation. And the fact that my baby girl loved swimming in lakes and beaches seemed like this was meant to be. Thank goodness they offer pickup from the other clinic we had her at. That would've been tough for us to do. Lilia was super sweet and understanding even with my weird request of sending me a photo of Lucy to make sure the right dog was picked up. But thank goodness she suggested me sending her a photo of Lucy so she can confirm during the pickup. That made it a lot less painful. She texted me immediately on pick up that it was 100% my baby girl. Told it would take about a week but it ended up being 2 weeks. It was worth it with all of the extra things we got to keep in her memory. I had asked for an impression of her front 2 paws, one of her feet became deformed as she got older, a single paw print, a nose print, and her different colors of fur in a jar which I was really impressed she got all of the colors because I had just groomed my baby before she passed and her fur was short. I will take my future babies and recommend them to people in the future. She was so kind and understanding during one of our hardest losses. Thank you!

They are unempathetic and uncaring and have refused to answer my questions regarding my babies remains, the cats microchip and everything else all they want to say is do you want a refund or not? and we gave you a refund. The cats mom was offered a drawing to make up for it. Really!!??A refund does not take away the agonizing uncertainty about what happened to our Baby of 18 years that we trusted to them! My family and I were devastated and trying to navigate setting everything up was exhausting. The original cremation service we were going to use was so expensive, and talking to them was so transactional and it hurt. I had a coworker recommendation to call Bella's "just to see" and I am so glad I called. Right away I knew they were different, whereas the other service kept referring to my sweet girl as "the dog" or "the pet", Laura stopped me right away and asked what her name was. That small act of kindness meant the world to me. We were doing home euthanasia and had issues with the original vet. Laura helped me, very last minute, to find a vet who would come out to see us, and it was a fraction of the cost. She was so kind and supportive through the whole process. She would even text to check in with me throughout the process. The day of June 5, 2025 Laura and her family were at our house early, so we wouldn't have to worry. They helped support through Xena's final moments. They showed her, and my whole family so much respect and kindness that I am tearing up writing this. After the vet left, Laura made sure to let me know to take my time, and properly say goodbye, allowing my son and other dogs to get closure. They helped us get pawprints, as they saw us all struggling. They put a pillow under her head, which made her look so peaceful as they were leaving. We had my sweet Xena back the next day, the facility was beautiful and I could see how much care they put into these animals and their families. I went with the Rose Package, and it was affordable and comparable to other cremation services. Her cedar chest is beautiful, and we had bracelet keepsakes that they filled for us as well. When I picked her up, Laura surprised me with a pillow. It was the pillow they had used to take my sweet girl to put her to rest. It was such a kind gesture, that I was not expecting at all. I am so grateful to have it. Overall, Laura and everyone else at Bella's Pet Cremation went above and beyond in every way. They treated us as family, and treated my sweet Xena as I expect they would have treated their own dogs. Saying goodbye to our fur family is never easy, but they helped to make it less painful.
