On a Sunday night after he experienced what appeared to be a syncopal episode, we contacted the hospital for emergency guidance. We were informed by staff that the only doctor on duty was in surgery and that there was no veterinarian immediately available to evaluate him. We were advised not to bring him in. The interaction with the receptionist was also notably lacking in empathy or urgency, which was especially distressing given the seriousness of the situation. For a facility that represents itself as a 24-hour emergency hospital, this was deeply concerning. If an urgent patient cannot be evaluated because the only doctor is unavailable, that reflects a significant gap in emergency coverage. This was not an isolated issue, as we had experienced ongoing communication and responsiveness concerns over time. After years as clients, and following my dog's passing, we did not receive any acknowledgment from the hospital. He was family. We expected urgency, compassion, and accountability. For these reasons, we have transferred our pets' care elsewhere.

She's very thorough, peaceful, and was great with my dogs, they can be a little persnickety. She explains everything and provides paperwork and images to show what will be done and what was done. Her pricing is very fair and her anesthesia usage once explained to me, erased my concerns. The staff is friendly and kind, there's a gentle approach that you feel as soon as you walk into the reception area. I highly recommend meeting with Dr. Hermann, you will surely place your precious pet in her hands for dentistry, with confidence.

When I brought my newly adopted dachshunds to the vet I was nervous because they live up to the doxie guard dog trait--they bark at strangers. Especially my older one--he's 8 and is especially cautious around men. They barked in the waiting room, at the admin, etc. but when Dr. Tulman came in to see us--he was silent. I was amazed (and relieved). My Brownie--who sometimes forgets who my husband is, loved Dr. Tulman right away. In fairness, I was sure to address these issues with Dr. Block - who comes here to argue, defend and deny - further evidence of the way customers and pets are treated. The things that were said to me about my concerns were - "I only gave that medication for you, not your pet" - after a routine screening when my pet was wailing in distress - "Oh , they're just being dramatic" - and when confronted with concern for boarding care - "it sounds like you don't trust me so I can't trust you ". After departing and getting our files, I read through and there were inaccurate comments written about our interactions. Medication prices are astronomical and there is unwillingness to work with chewy. No after hours support for any emergent questions that may arise. I feel I made Bailey an honest efforts to work it out with this place, but it's a toxic environment. The front desk staff is great and they do a wonderful job.
