We were with Pet Street Station Animal Hospital in Norwich for 8 years. Then they open/go in with some pharmacy, saying they are not going to work with outside pharmacies anymore but they will write a prescription that can be picked up. After I asked the legality of this new policy, my animals were dropped as patients. Now I know most of you are thinking, why not just get the prescription through them... This place is top notch, and I recommend it to anyone with an animal. The staff are all friendly, understanding and compassionate. The veterinarians are very thorough in their exams, clear in their explanations, patient with patients' questions, and overall seem truly to care about the animals they see. There is no drama, no talking you into unnecessary treatments. Their prices are average for the area, and they really try to work a treatment plan to accommodate limited finances. They used to offer payment plans, but the majority of people on them took advantage of it, so that had to end. They understand most people are having a difficult time because of the economy, but they have expenses, too. I know my animals will get great care here, and I am grateful to have found them after some absolutely terrible experiences elsewhere (see my other reviews). read more

I adopted a cat across the street and came here to get a rabies vaccine for my newly adopted cat. It cost $26 and was so insanely fast. It took more time to do the paperwork and to locate the right cat but the vaccine itself happened before I could even blink. I noticed that the chief of staff vet there graduated from UC Davis, the same school I went to undergraduate for. It is ranked number 1 veterinary school in the nation. They sell things inside like pet snacks. I liked that there was plenty of parking and there were lots of cute animal decorative items inside like pet quotes or leash hangers that looked like dog tails. I've heard that this place can be pricey but I don't know their price list for other services. I am happy with the two folks I interacted with and my experience there. You can make appointments or request refills online. They also offer a daycare service. read more

correct me if I'm wrong, but when you become a vet it's to take care of all animals that come to you and need your help. A banker is someone who deals with money. However for PET STREET it more like VET=money. Im sure most people consider their animals their kids. Because I like other people could not come up with $200 a percentage of a list of procedures that = $856 most of these procedures they don't use. But they needed that $200 so bad all they did is wrapped my baby in a cold towel because he had a fever and gave him Gabs that someone brought back to be disposed of, and my baby ended up dying!!! Did nothing for the infection that caused the fever. I begged them not to let him die. He was my life!! read more

I went to board my dog for a long weekend. They called me about 2 hours after I left for my trip and said my animal needed a distemper. I said ok give it to him and then give him a bath after the shot. They gave the dog a bath and skipped the shot. Wheni complained they threatened to hold my animal if I didn't pay. read more

Stay Away.... Let me explain. We brought our dog here in july for surgery to remove a tumor. We were told the surgery went well and that we need to update blood work in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later we return and do the blood work and are told our dog is cancer free. 3 months later we return because our dog is having very large accidents inside the house which is very out of the norm. They put him on antibiotics and told us it was a bladder infection. After 3 months of antibiotics we finally switch vets to get an idea of whats going on. First the new vet requests the records to which we are told they didn't get all the cancer the first time around . so that is LIE number 1. I called to speak with the doctor, and he has yet to call me back to explain to me why he would tell us the cancer was gone when it clearly was not. AND to top it off. I must of frazzled the person who answered the phone because she told me that it was written clear as day on my chart that they did not get all the cancer and they he needed to be watched closely. Well why if you had this written on his chart would you not run blood work the first time hes back with symptoms. That is LIE 2. Had they told us the cancer was still there we would of looked to next steps like chemo or radiation. Because of the incompetence of this Vet our dog is now on palliative care. How many years did they robbed us with our dog we will never know. read more

This is the third time I have asked for an appointment for one of my sick dogs in the last 1-2 years and have been told it would be at least 10 days before I could get them in. My little dog was in a lot of pain and all they offered was a referral to Cornell. I called another vet and they got me in the next day. I was VERY pleased with their care and professionalism and my dog had the most complete physical she has ever had. She was diagnosed and given appropriate tests to confirm the problem and ordered medication to help her. If your animal would ever need urgent care, which they all may, avoid this place. read more

We've actually had very good experience with our pets at Pet Street Station. We've found Dr. King to be a very "good call" vet. He has treated various conditions without a lot of the expensive unnecessary testing and treatment we've experienced in Manhattan. The meds that he has prescribed seem to be in line with what the super expensive NYC specialists recommend (arthritis meds that don't harm the kidneys, the best tick prevention, that sort of thing). The staff is very helpful compassionate and concerned. Our 45 lb. dog is 14.5 and the cat is 19 and both doing amazingly well but there are a few minor issues associated with aging that the doctor will either treat over the phone or in the office when necessary. read more

Okay I've had enough of these people! So much so my lawyer and I are going to be moving forward with a malpractice suit. I had brought my dog bailee into have her eye examined, because she had a hard lump under her eye. Dr. solder said her eye was normal and what I was feeling was her cheek bone. well 2 days later her eye is so swollen she can' barely see out of it. I paid 260 bucks for this visit. I will do everything in my power to ensure they lose their accreditation. Not only that, but three months ago my puppy was hit by a car. Spent all day there. They sent her home after paying almost 300 bucks. For her to hemorrhage right before our eyes 30 mins after getting home. They knew my dog was dying and didn't say anything! Other then she would be sore. I lost a fur baby that day. watched the blood pour from her mouth along with the rest of my family. We will forever be scarred by this. So NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. unless you are looking to have your dog or cat suffer more then they have to. I'm suing for malpractice along with pain and suffering on my dogs behalf. read more

I take both my dogs here for checkups. Good service at affordable prices. Ive never had an issue. Knowledgeable staff.

We brang our dogs to pet street station for about a year with no problems. Then we got a new puppy that we brang to them for a check up and shots and deworm. Since she was dewormed twice already at 12 weeks the vet did not deworm. A couple weeks later our pet stopped eating and vomiting, we called the vet and was told probally just ate something outside if she didn't look better by the end of the day to bring her in. She looked a little better and started to eat so we did not bring her in. Later that night she became very ill, so we called emergency service which is actually an answering service that takes a message. Our puppy survived the weekend and when we were called monday morning we were told to bring her in and drop her off and the vet would look at her when he could. We told the office that she was extremely ill and that if the vet could not look at her first thing we would bring her elsewhere. They were fine with that so we did. Later that day someone called to see if our puppy would be ready for surgery (spading) a couple days later. We told them that she was very sick and being treated by another vet and that we would not be coming back. This was about 2 weeks ago and today got a call from thier office not happy with what was said on social media and that we have been deleted from thier system. Our puppy ended up having roundworm that should have been treated during the checkup that the vet did not think was necessary. If you are looking for a vet with true emergency service I would keep looking pets rarely get hurt during business hours. read more
