The real stand about about this place is the staff. They are absolutely wonderful. Not like the large chains that have impersonal staff, the people working here were genuinely interested in what I was looking for and how they could help me. Even after I completed my purchase, they showed me some free samples that were appropriate for my puppy. I just want to commend this store for answering their calls!! I called them after attempting to communicate with both the Petco and PetSmart in my area and neither one of the stores would answer, I was left on hold listening to a recording or redirected to leave a message after a lengthy wait. Please do not take your dog to be groomed at this location!!! I went to buy some food for my dog and I heard a husky howling and crying as the groomer was trying to cut his nails. There was one girl holding the dog, while the other one was trying to cut the nails. It didn't look like they knew what they were doing. They were both struggling . This is a review for PetSupermarket on Glades in Boca Raton. When my pup Ava and I walk in, we are always greeted with smiles and genuine "Hello's". A special shout out to Sarah and Andrew who we see the most. They greet Ava saying her name (special!)...there are special low crude fat treats I get for her since she had acute pancreatitis. They fly out of the store quickly and I call them to see if they have any in stock. If they do, they will always put 1 or 2 aside with her name on them. (Really nice!) I generally believe people get back what energy they put out. I am a kind, personable person and it's what I get back. No negativity. Just went to get some tags for my pets and Vera the assistant manager was extremely rude. She stated rudely that we weren't supposed to touch the scanner for the tags and I apologized because I wasn't aware, the no touch was behind it and I didn't see it. She sighed in annoyance and was very unprofessional. She then made a snarky remark to my little sister that she didn't know how to spell Paris which was extremely uncalled for. I ordered some dog food from them online and setup auto-delivery. My first order never made it to me after a week after it was supposedly shipped. When I called they said that they can't refund me until I receive the order and send it back. If I had received the order I wouldn't be looking for a refund! It made no sense, but eventually they did refund me. At that time I cancelled my auto-delivery and deleted my payment information. 6 weeks later I get a notification that they've charged me for the next auto-delivery. When I called to ask them about it they said that I still had an active auto-delivery subscription on my account which is weird because online it wasn't listed. When my local pet store went out of business, I was no longer able to find performatrin brand cat food anywhere, which is what my cats have been on their whole lives. Pet supermarket was the only spot I found that carried my girls food, so I set up an account and an autoship order timed to come every few months before I ran out of food. Not only has my shipment always been late, it's also always been wrong. The first order they doubled my order and charged me for it without my consent or knowledge. The second order came damaged in a *** broken box with holes in the bag. The third and most recent order came late again, and was actually 3 bags of dog food not cat food. Their customer service was difficult to get in touch with and not helpful. The online chat kept getting disconnected and would not work when I tried to upload photos they requested. When I finally got in touch with someone on the phone and told them I would like my correct order sent to me overnight or expedited, I was told they are not able to do that. So now I have to play the lets find my girls a new cat food game and hope I find something fast that agrees with their sensitive tastes and bellies. It is crazy to me that such a large company is so incompetent when it comes to online orders, and equally crazy that they can't overnight ship something. I know i'm ranting because this is fresh and I'm pissed, but idgaf. I planned on coming home from work to take a nap with my cats before getting back to the grind. Hello neighbors, My name was Tex. I was born on April 2, 2022. My mom did not have a cat in 18 years! My dad didn't have one for many years as well. They knew they would have another cat one day, but they wanted to wait until the timing was perfect. My parents lost their grown son tragically three years ago. My mom wanted to give my dad the most special surprise for Father's Day. Mom purchased me from Petsupermarket at the corner of 50 & 27 in Clermont. She was so overjoyed. Dad was at work, and Mom went to the store and picked me up. She found all the supplies she needed and set them up before my dad got home. When Dad got home from work, he was the happiest he had been in a long time. He couldn't believe I would be a permanent part of the family. At first he thought we were pet sitting, as we had done before. My sister and brother were so happy and excited! Mom was concerned. She brought me home one hour before dad arrived home. I started to cough badly. Mom and dad brought me back to Petsupermarket. Two employees stated I probably had a hairball. They said it could be unpleasant to watch; however, they dismissed mom and dad's concern. Mom later found out they could have picked up the phone and had a vet arrive to examine me within an hour. The other kittens in the store with me could have been checked, too. Mom and dad returned home and scheduled the quickest appointment with the local vet. The vet stated I was very sick. I had pneumonia and bronchitis. I was placed on amoxicillin. Mom called Petsupermarket to let them know. Petsupermarket stated in the paperwork I weighed 2.18 pounds on June 2nd. I was purchased on June 8th. I was nowhere near this weight. I lost a lot from being so sick. My family was extremely worried. They brought me to the emergency vet in the middle of the night because I was coughing so hard. I weighed 1.70 pounds. Mom and dad were feeding me milk for kittens with an eye dropper. I was placed in oxygen. After 4 hours, I returned home. I was placed on Doxycycline. Within one hour, I could barely move and I couldn't catch my breath. Mom and dad took me back to the vet. I was placed in oxygen again. I couldn't catch my breath in the oxygen tank. The next morning, mom and dad were told I was suffering too much. I was kissed goodbye in the tank. My family cried so hard for me. My mom, dad, sister and brother were heartbroken. Mom notified Petsupermarket. The manager stated my parents could return my belongings and get the money for them. My family could not even bare to look at my belongings. Mom and dad accrued close to $2,000 in expenses. Most of this expense was vet bills. Mom contacted the rescue I came from to inform them. This rescue works so hard to nurture us and find us good loving homes. They work to save lives. They were heartbroken for me and my family. They loved me. How could the Petsupermarket employee tell my mom she noticed me coughing earlier that day and didn't do anything about it? Tanya at Hoffmeyer Rescue brought my family out of a deep depression. She contacted Petsupermarket. She loved me and my family, even though she didn't know my family. She extended condolences and provided my family emotional support. My parents reached out to Petsupermarket corporate many times. Petsupermarket didn't care at all about me or my family. They didn't even send my family coupons for food or litter so my mom, dad, brother and sister could get another kitten or cat. I thank you for listening to my story. I feel my life had a purpose. The purpose is to remember the beautiful people at rescues who work so hard each day and expect nothing monetary in return. Petsupermarket caused me so much suffering, and in the end, I lost my life. I ask you to consider not supporting Petsupermarket because they don't really care about animals. It all came down to money. They are cold hearted. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. I had previously bought kennel cough drops and they helped so when they ran out I went back to get more. They did not have any so I was told I could order online. I tried to order to have delivered to the store nearby but was told online they would not be able to deliver there. I in turn ordered them to be delivered to a store that is about 20 miles away. I went today to pick them up and was told they were not there. There were large pallets on the floor but there was no guarantee they would be in there and would not be unpacked for a day or two. I canceled the order and hope the payment was refunded. I went back to my original store and asked if I would have to pay shipping if I had it sent to my home. I was told there was no charge for that but online it says only free for orders over $45. I've been coming here for years to get my hamster supplies. Yes people I am an avid hamster lover. But I'm a lover to all animals, except snakes, they scare the crap out of me. Anyhow they always say hello upon walking in and are always very helpful with locating items and treats at the store. Very friendly place to pet shop. I even bring my hamster so he can pick out his own treats..yea I really just said that. My step father found a dog once and even though she was adorable we knew she belonged to someone. We came here to ask for help in finding her owners. They allowed us to put posters up and even gave us some numbers to call to get her information posted out on the dog without physically going there. They truly care about animals and their well beings. That really touched me how much they helped us. We did find her owners the same night which was cool cause she belonged to a family with children that were very upset she was gone. This is why I keep coming back here. Unfortunately, I placed an online order (over $150) on the very day that their new website came online. I was required to reset the password on my account. Try as I might, I was not able to do that and kept getting an "Invalid entry" error. Customer service claimed to advise the management team and sent the problem to their IT department, requesting that I try again later that day. This has still not been fixed and I refuse to be part of their Quality Assurance team. This should have been QA'd before launching their new website. This is the best Pet Supermarket ever!!! Shanti and Eddie are super nice. They always go above and beyond to give people the best customer service. They always take their time to explain things and answer questions and give one on one service to all their customers and to give customers the best possible price, including sales and deals. This Pet Supermarket also does fantastic events for pets throughout the year with raffles and all kinds of free stuff. The bathing station is also excellent because they provide a range of shampoos, towels, blow dryers, and the bathing stations are up high, so you don't have to bend over to wash your pet. It is the most convenient way to bathe my dog. It's truly a special place where I feel like me and my pets are always taken care of and given the best customer service by very knowledgeable and very friendly staff. They helped me a lot when I rescued a stray cat. The staff at this Pet Supermarket truly go above and beyond for their customers. I will always keep going back to this location!!! Today i was at the store for a dogwash. I mentioned that my dog had just completed her antibiotics for an infection caused by a tick bite. I was told, after paying for my dog wash, that I could not wash my dog there today because they would have to shut down the whole dog wash for the day and spend time disinfecting it. I am contacting corporate for this sorry excuse for a pet store as I type. I made a phone call this morning to this Pet Supermarket. I was calling their grooming salon to check on the expiration date of a rabies vaccine for a dog that is groomed in their salon (the vaccine is required to provide grooming services). A boy picked up the phone, and I politely asked him to be transferred to the grooming salon. He told me, "UH, well, there's nobody there today." So I asked if a manager is there that knows how to work the computer to just check on these vaccines for me. The kid says, "uhhh okay", and proceeds to mock me to his manager (a woman)!! He tells her, "some girl is calling for vaccines, and I told her nobody was in grooming and she's all (in a high pitched, valley girl voice) LIKE, CAN YOU GET SOMEONE TO CHECK FOR ME?" He clearly forgot to put me on hold or mute his end. Upon his manager picking up the phone, I told her "Can I just start off by saying that your employee forgot to put me on hold and I just heard him mocking me to you. That is so incredibly rude." Then proceeded to ask her about he vaccines. She said, "oh sorry let me hand the phone to the girl in the salon." SO THERE WAS AN ASSOCIATE. I'm so disrespected. I am usually ambivalent about which chain pet store I patronize. I have always found that they carry the same things at about the same prices. Today, I was proved wrong. This store only carries high-end dog food. What does "high-end" mean when it comes to dog food? Usually a higher fat content, which is why the pups like it. I see no reason to give my friends that high a concentration of fat since it will only impede their breathing in later years.
