Always buy fishes in that place the fish came sick, 3 day after that died. They never take the fish die in their aquarium. And not clean the whole acuario. I'm not recommended that place to star the fish pet fresh water tank. read more

This place is horribly neglecting their betta fish. They keep them in disgusting, tiny bowls with leftover food. Some of them you can't even see because of how dirty the water is. There were two DEAD betta fish on display. I told the employee and she justified this saying there were only two employees working and that they would change the water today. This Pet Supermarket is one of the easiest for me to get to when I'm in need of hedgehog supplies. Oh, what are hedgehog supplies you ask? Well, it's a combo of cat food plus toys and accessories most likely associated with hamsters. Why do I have a hedgehog? Well, that I'll have to explain to you in person. Here you'll find easy parking out front and friendly folks inside. I'm always greeted upon walking in and checked on as I wander the aisles. It's not anything fancy and definitely not as big as some Petsmart outposts, but I always find what I need and have drama free experiences. I came here to get a couple of things for a new pup. There was a line to go in because of social distancing. They were not letting you go shop around. You would tell the register what you want. My list had the following; got pee pads, chicken doggie treats, Nutri Cal Gel, and Nutritional Diet for new puppy food. I had a really pleasant experience. read more

X-mats rule. Plastic squares with little spikies placed on favorite sofa - very uncomfortable indeed for couch potato-bound boxers. They haven't figured out how to pull them off (understandable for Mapuche the sloth, but what's up with Cynthia who's supposed to be so clever?), maybe this is a kind of dog-cat version of the Rubik's cube? Have never seen these in any of the other big pet stores. Oh, and they have these amazingly boxer-bulldog resistant rubber UFO-type frisby things (blue, green and other colors I think, with a kind of ball in the middle that squeaks), these guys pull on them with no mercy and somehow they manage to stay intact. If you're in a fix for cat food or cat litter then this place is better than going to Publix or Walgreens (and closer than Petco or PetsMart ) for a dinky sized box of emergency kitty litter or food. While they have a good selection of the popular brands, the service is lackluster. Only two cash registers are ever open and the cashiers are as slow as molasses. Or maybe it just feels like that because while the cashier is looking up a customer's discount number or counting pennies or whatever it is they are doing, you've got dogs sniffing your butt while at the same time you're trying not to drop 40 lb box of kitty litter! read more

Very friendly staff, excellent customer service, always asking if we need help and ready to offer advice. I love visiting this branch with my dog. I usually walk in, grab the sale paper at the front and pick out the best food/treat items. They frequently have buy 1 get 1 deals on treats, a huge selection of raw foods, and a lot of healthy and grain free alternatives. Selection: pretty decent, sometimes are out of certain things but will always try to track them down for you 4. Most importantly: THEY DON'T SELL PUPPIES! It's a horrible practice and I'm extremely glad that there is a pet store quite close to my home that doesn't engage in this disgusting practice. I have never reviewed a business before, but I had such an awful experience at this store yesterday that I feel one is warranted here. tl;dr a sales associate made hurtful and disrespectful comments that resulted in me leaving the store in tears. I stopped here on my way home from work yesterday evening to pick up some cat food. When I got to the register, the associate began a tirade about how the food I picked was not "real food" and tried to convince me to purchase a different brand. This is very rude -- unless I ask for her opinion, it is not her place to lecture me on what to feed my cat. But I was tired and just wanted to purchase to cat food and go home, so I persisted. I explained to her that my brother is a veterinarian and he is the one who suggested that particular brand to me. The associate then had the audacity to say "They are paid to say that." Seriously, you think that my own brother is going to sell me on sub-par kitten food because he was paid to do so? She then continued telling me that she "knows veterinarians, too..." etc. I found this all to be incredibly disrespectful. I adopted my kitten several months ago when a friend found her abandoned on the street at only 3 weeks old. I literally nursed her back to health and have been caring for her since, so it is very hurtful for a stranger to suggest that I am not fulling devoted to taking care of her. So, yeah, I left the store (without buying anything) and stood outside crying for about 10 minutes. I have shopped at this location many times in the past and had perfectly satisfactory experiences. This pet store is near my home and the location is convenient for me, so I would like to return. I hope that the management will reach out with an apology and explanation for their employee's behavior so that I feel comfortable shopping here in the future. This is SUPER convenient for me, just steps from my place, so it's my store of choice to buy Blue Buffalo for my pups. Prices are a little steep, but the convenience factor weighs out above all else. Extremely bad service my daughter and I bought three tetra glow fish and two of them died the night after she put them in the tank a week later I called and asked if we could return them and they said that they needed the receipt but I did not have the receipt but since I am registered they can just look me up next they asked about the fish , the fish had dissolved in the water so they said that's fine just bing the water to see what happened , we get to the store and bring a few ounces of water and they said it was perfectly fine so my daughter picked two more fish out ,we get to the register and we thought that they were going to refund us and give us the two fish and reminder that the fish had dissolved in the water and stunk the whole house up so we threw them out so right when the cashier / the person who was on the phone was putting in the information into the computer and the manager comes behind her and tells us very rudely that they need the fish so we left the fish there and left my daughter called back and they said they need the receipt when in the store they said they need the fish Overall employees don't know what they are talking about and manager that is so called Junior was very rude Worst experience ever! read more

This really is a super market for pets! I went there to get some stuff for my kitty Sunny, and they had everything I needed. Even organic cat food (which I did not buy, I don't eat organic, so neither shall my cat) I got a lot of cat litter for a little money and was able to get some a big bag of food for under $10. Way cheaper than CVS for more quantity. They had lots of toys and special products too. Good if you have pets :) read more

I went I yesterday because their online stock was nonexistent. The item I wanted was listed as in stock. I go there and self is bare. We ask when they will be getting more in and they had no clue. The sales person was trying to help but the manager was horrible. The manager didn't want to be bothered. We had a gift card and we told him we have nothing else we wanted from them. We wanted a refund . He said no. We told them we will buy something online. Well we got home and have items in the cart and when we went to pay, it's says that gift cards are only accepted in store. Why wouldn't he tell us this. Horrible service and manger. Dont open your store unless you have stock for the common pet supplies. read more

This review is for both the Silver Bluff (Miami-Coconut Grove) Location AND the VIP customer service 800-number. The location is very close to my house and I have signed up for the VIP program. You basically buy 10 bags or cases of pet food and receive through the mail a voucher for a free bag or case. That right there saves you 10%. In addition, you can use the mailer which come in my junk mail that can save another $4 for $20 spent or $3 for $15 spent. Finally they have buy 5 get one free on select cat food. Great place to shop, great service and they also have kittens to adopt. read more

My dog had what looked like an ear infection and they helped me to navigate the different ear products they have and even showed me how to use it. Non-existent customer service. There was a discrepancy with pricing, and I was bounced around from the store manager, to their corporate customer "service" to the district manager. The customer service rep only offered the solution of referring me to the DM AFTER I mentioned reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. When a business lists a price, they must honor it, otherwise this is false advertising. I will never shop Pet Supermarket again, since I do not want to support a company with such poor customer service practices. read more

I went back to this Pet store not planning on buying anything. I just wanted to see if they carried wax worms. Anyways my last review for this store was negative. But having gone back I saw that all new staff was present and I was greeting by more than 3 employees and they insisted on helping me out as soon as I walked in. I was wowed.
