The do it yourself dog wash was not a pleasant experience for my dog nor me. The water was cold, the air from the blower was cold and the towels they provided were rags ( not kidding). The wash was not well stocked and the floor was dirty with dog hair tumbleweeds. This is the location on San Carlos in Fort Myers. Generally PSP is good for the DIY dog wash. Not this location. It needs some attention and staff training. read more

Poor stocking. I needed Royal Canen dry Hairball food for our cats on Friday, August 1, 2025 and found only two small bags of a different type of Royal Canen dry food on the shelves. I was told by a store attendant that a shipment was due today (August 1) and the food would be available by 5 pm. I did not return until this morning, August 3, 2025, only to find the same two bags on the shelves. A store attendant told me they could special order it and it would be in on Friday, August 8th. I was very pleased with the grooming here until recently. I have a 15 year old shih tzu rescue and found Morgan was very good with her. However, the last time my dog was groomed, I was disappointed. I wasn't going to make a big issue out of it and just wait to talk to Morgan at the next appointment. However, seeing the hair around my dog's eyes being so uneven and the hair above her eyes was constantly in her eyes, that I felt bad for my dog, Jewels. I tried to move up her appointment and sent a text message and did receive one back. When I responded to it, I never got another reply. A bit frustrating but I know they are busy so I decided to call. I never got a call back. Now I'm getting a bit annoyed. This morning, I went to this location to talk to Morgan and saw that no groomer was working. I asked another employee where the groomers were and she said she didn't know, that they are usually there very early. Ok, now I ask for the manager and she was in the ladies room. Now I'm mad, I'm angry. I asked the employee how to get in touch with them and told her of my experience and she was very surprised, too. If I cannot reach anyone, that makes me believe that customers are just not that important. In my voicemail, I told Morgan I wasn't happy with her last haircut, you would think that alone would prompt a return call. Now, I am back looking for a groomer and one that will actually communicate with me. I am so angry to be treated like this. I go to Pet Supplies Plus every month to use the doggie wash. I love the dirty dog card that I buy and I really appreciate the fact that they supply the towels the soap comes out through the hose. There's a place to dry them it's just a great experience. And of course we always manage to buy some thing yummy on the way out for my good dogs. read more

I have been to this store a couple times and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. They have a store mascot which is a very sweet dog who has her own uniform and will give you a sweet kiss if you pet her. I have two Himalayan cats that have never been groomed and they needed grooming pretty bad. They had matted hair in spots and had grown pretty wild. It is actually difficult to find groomers who will groom cats, most only accept dogs. I noticed from a google search that this store offered grooming, so I gave them a call because I have been impressed with their service. I also like the fact that they are privately owned. I called and spoke with a person in their grooming area. She was very nice, upfront with the pricing and scheduled an appointment for the next day. I brought my sweet kitties in for their appointment and the groomers were very nice. They groom the pets in the open and I noticed an older women watched as her puppy was groomed. The groomer texted me (my preferred method of contact) after and said my kitties were all set. It took about 3 hours to complete a wash, full lion cut, nail clip and dry for two very unkept cats. My fur babies looked WONDERFUL! They smelled wonderful and looked great. I'm so happy to have found this spot and will be back for grooming and all pets needs. Pet Supplies Plus has a huge selection of food, treats, toys and some pets too! Came in here looking to replace a specific toy and I was glad to see that they had it. The staff was helpful and attentive while I was in there. I think they recently opened to the public too. Certainly worth a visit with or without your furry friends. What a joke this place is, I took my 2 dogs in this morning for a bath and a deshedding I got home and put a brush through them and the brush was full of hair, I spoke with and employee and is all they had to say was "I'll give you 20% off next time" why would I go back there !, she admitted that they did not deshed them but they charged anyway and refuse to credit back, AVOID THIS PLACE and go to a professional. Took my two dogs to get groomed with a flea dip, and when my husband brought them home, I checked them and they had not been bathed and still had fleas. When I called the grooming manager to discuss, she was extremely rude and didn't offer to groom them again, but did, however, offer me another appointment in two weeks. That was unacceptable to me, and when I asked for the owner's name, she refused to give it to me. I told her she should find a different line of work, and she told me I wasn't welcome back and hung the phone up. I've been getting my dogs groomed there for two years and have never had a problem until then. Will never go back. I feel bad for the owners. Best of luck. read more

Had a problem with grooming. Had moms' dog groomed Friday. Caled 20 minutes after brought her home so my mom could see. Mom did not like the face cut so I called the store. Groomers had left. The front desk said they would have groomer call me. No call so I called groomer. She proceeded to tell me that I said it looked good. I told her I am not the owner. I am the owner of 7 other pets that get groomed. She did say do you want to come in Sunday. She then told me about a police incident happening in the store at that time and hung up. I called back to have owner call me, Manager listened but then cut the call, when incident with an employee happened again. Police had to be called. I was in process of going to store to pick up 4 bags of cat food. When I got there all employees were running around no masks to calm people at all. read more

I rescued a bearded dragon from that store ~ 3 yrs ago. It was so sick it couldn't even stand & when I pointed it out, the teenager caring for her refused to discuss that she was obviously ill. I had to buy her (they charged me full price) to get her to a vet & get her care. I complained to corporate ofc & not too long after, the store stopped selling animals except for fish. I was sad to hear last year they were going to sell animals again. Was in there Mon 3/2 & noticed a juvenile beardie with the beginnings of classic MBD deformities. Then I saw the leopard geckos. It ripped my heart out. 1 of them has such severe MBD already, he will never walk normally. His front limbs are fully bowed in. He has severe scoliosis side to side & top to bottom & had 2-3 layers of stuck shed all over him, including some that was crystallized on his eyes. Stuck so hard that gentle manipulation of it to see if it might pop off almost pull his eyeball out. So much stuck shed on his snout his nose was almost totally blocked. He was severely dehydrated and malnourished. (He died a week after we got him out of there after a vet visit and round the clock care! ). The groomer I spoke to the next day assured me animal care was their priority & he just has a "little neurological problem." What he had was SEVERE metabolic bone disease which has 1 known cause. Improper husbandry. He was being fed a bunch of dried dehydrated worms & crickets. No calcium on them. She assured me he was fed fresh crickets with calcium daily. I took her my lizard ICU kit, trusted her when she assured me he would be taken care of thru the night & see a vet. I went back 3 hrs later. She was gone. The night lead knew nothing about him & he was back in the original enclosure & none of the supplies I left for him had been used. I couldn't stand it & had to get him out of there. The only way to do that was to pay for him. Full price. Same for the beardie. I also bought a spare habitat as all my spares are in use. It was supposed to be on sale for $98. I was charged total of $148. I assumed it that was the cost of the on sale habitat plus the animals. Didn't look at my receipt til later cause I was caring for the animals. They didn't charge for the animals but charged $148 for the tank. I thought it was so I have no proof I bought them there. I pray they're stopped from selling these animals. Don't buy there. Don't allow them to continue to neglect this behavior. At least the baby gecko was loved for a week and didn't die of starvation and thirst as he was when 1st found. I feel very sad & very angry that this place still has animals in their "care." I spoke with the manager Nick on Tues. He told me the reason they overcharged me for the enclosure was because I "refused" to give my ph #. The person on the cash register didn't ask me for my ph & when I said "are you going to put my ph # in?" She hit the button that closed out the transaction. My focus was on the animals & getting them home into a proper environment. He said if I bring my receipt in tomorrow he will refund the difference. We will see if he does. He also told me the beardie was perfectly healthy & they gave him to me for free. It is true they didn't charge me for either animal (just overcharged me for the tank which I will admit could have been a misunderstanding), but he also told me again the gecko's only problem was "a little Neuro issue & they were trying to find someone with the experience to care for a special needs animal." I made it clear I was just that sort of person! I was practically begging to be allowed to have the animal & no one said "come talk to our Mgr about an adoption." 1 more thing. I've been in this store often over the years. There are employees who DO care about the animals and do their best to care for them. I don't want to make it sound like anyone who works here is guilty of animal neglect & cruelty. They've done the best they can & are decent people. I would think Mgt would have been happy to hear from someone who would help. Had I gotten that gecko 4 weeks earlier his life would be very different. He likely would still be with us. No one said I could apply to adopt him, even when I made it clear I rescue reptiles and have many special needs lizards. I am worried about the little leopard gecko & baby ball python they still have for sale. While neither are in critical shape, both appear to have issues related to husbandry. I hope they're gotten out of there soon. By the way Nick - I will adopt any lizard or snake that needs a home for any reason - illness, too big to sell, personality issues, etc. Call me - you have my number. That would be a huge step toward reassuring me that you really DO care. read more

I take my Portuguese Water Dog to Melissa at this location in Ft Myers,FL. On San Carlos Rd. She takes the time to discuss her health, her teeth her ears etc. and my loves her. She recommend products in and out of store and has never been wrong about a good result. Currently was dogs had to go the Emergency Veterinary Estero Florida. Melissa texted me daily for her updates on my dog and encouraged me along. She is the best. I did tell her at Xmas 2019 groom No scarves No sissie bows on ears. She said fine. I really wanted to like this store but I can't! My first problem: The crickets This has been a huge issue since I started coming to this store. The first time I was at the store I had to have the store manager get the crickets for me because the two female employees I spoke to told me they were too "Gross" to get for me. Yes she said gross. The second time was similar, the employee I spoke to went to go get someone else to get them for me presumably because she didn't want to do it. The third time I went to go shopping for crickets I found they were on sale in presorted bags. This seemed like a bad idea to me but maybe I was wrong, I was willing to give it a shot and this made it much quicker. Got them home and nearly all of them were dead by the next day. The fourth time I went to go get crickets I advised the lady who was helping me get the crickets this time that they shouldn't store them in bags as the ones I had purchased had nearly all died. She said she was a manager and she thanked me for the advice and proceeded to get me my crickets, making sure to count them (???) all out. It's just weird to me to have them be counted so...precisely. The fifth and last time today I went to go get crickets again, I wanted forty of them and I sat there for a good 2-3 minutes while another customer service associate (Not the previous one) Once again counted out all of the crickets in the bag. Now you may feel I'm exaggerating, I am not. He stood there and counted. 1-2-3-4 up to ten. Added more, recounted, then added more and counted again just to make sure I got exactly the amount I ordered. My second problem: The employees The employees are too helpful, I know that may not sound like a problem but there have been times I'm shopping where I'm approached by 3-4 different associates in a period of 5 minutes or so all asking if they can help me. That's too much. I've mentioned this in the survey they sent me but they didn't get the memo. It's a recurring problem, I almost feel like I'm under surveillance. I haven't stolen anything I promise!! My third and final problem: The products offered They recently stopped selling the only brand of wet canned cat food I purchase (Blue Healthy Gourmet) . I talked to an employee about it and she said that the reason they weren't selling it anymore because people weren't buying it which seemed strange to me as they hadn't even been open a month.They also sell the royal canin persian food in the small bags but not in the large bags while they sell the Maine coon royal canin food in the large bags only. It's weird, I'd like to buy the large bag of the Royal canin persian food. The groomer attached to the store also wouldn't groom my cats, fair enough, I was a little disappointed with it though. read more

Anything you need this place has it! I have to call out the self dog wash. OMG! We have NEVER been to a dog wash that was so clean, and made it so easy to wash our BIG Great Danes. See my picture (I also added a video of my wife air drying one of the dogs). Like a car wash. All the soap is in the wash cycle of the hose. Then there is a rinse cycle on the hose. Use it as long as you want. Then the dryer was perfect! This made it incredibly easy to wash our dogs. We have never seen this anywhere else. And it was very inexpensive. We will ALWAYS take our dogs here. This is a phenomenal place. Nope, we don't know the owners and are not associated with this business. Although we met the owner. Very nice.
