I called the vet upset and she then proceeded to tell me to put flour on it and it should stop rather than tying to explain how it happened and if there is something we can do to fix the issue , she then started to cuss at me and trying to make us look like bad people when we were just concerned as to why our dog was bleeding out of all 4 paws. We took our dog for a grooming appointment in October. When we picked him up, the first thing the…read moregroomer said was that everything had gone fine and that there were no problems. We brought him home and he was acting strange. He was extremely withdrawn and when we tried to pet him and our hands got near the back of his neck, he would yelp. We parted his fur trying to see if we could find anything. At that time there was nothing visible, or maybe we were not looking in quite the right spot. I called the grooming department and asked for the young man who had groomed him. I wanted to let him know how our dog was behaving and ask him again if he was sure that nothing had gone wrong. I was told that he was gone for the day. About a week or so later, we were petting him and felt a rough area around the back of his neck. We parted his fur and found black scabbing and as we parted his fur more to get a better look, his fur started falling out in that area. The area also appeared to have some yellow coloring. We took him to our vet who shaved the area. I told her about his behavior immediately following his last grooming visit and asked what could have caused it. She couldn't say for certain but thought that it could have been caused by either a burn or cut. She also said that the wound would result in that area of skin coming off. I now went back to the store with pictures of the injury and asked to speak with the manager. I explained that I wasn't seeking any kind of compensation, but wanted to explain the circumstances and make him aware that there was a strong possibility that our dog had been injured during a grooming session there. He was polite and asked me for information such as who the groomer was and what date was my dog's appointment and if I had asked for any special products to be used on my dog that had never been used before. I gave him the information and also stated that to my knowledge, no new products were used. I also let him know that my dog had been to the vet and what they had said. He said he would follow up with the groomer. There was no follow up call made to me to let me know if he was able to figure out what had happened. It has now been six weeks since my dog's appointment and the scabbed skin finally came off revealing another scab underneath, so he is still recovering. I rarely leave reviews and debated about leaving this one. I cannot irrefutably prove that our dog was injured during his grooming session. I only know that his behavior was completely normal when we dropped him off and was extremely abnormal after we picked him up. Then, shortly thereafter, an injury became visible. He was not left anywhere else without us present during that entire timeframe. He is an older dog so he is not super active and wouldn't have hurt himself playing. Again, I cannot prove he was injured during grooming but at the very least, the circumstances are, in my opinion, suspect which is why I finally decided to write this review and share my experience.

This past week I went to pick up supplies for my bird and the animals were absolutely neglected. Bird cages were filthy with waste everywhere and fish tanks were covered in algae so much so that you could not see in them. I am assuming this is from the short staff but , animals are being neglected there. The three employees in the store were all unprofessionally talking about other staff. Someone needs to step in and help the animals who can't help themselves.

My wife and I just brought our Siberian husky dog here today…read more We are visiting family here in Ohio from Florida and he needed a bath/shower because we think we saw a flea in his fur. Anyways we brought him in washed him ourselves and we love it. 50pound dog $14.00, for owners that wash their pet. Well worth it. We used the flea and tick shampoo, they have a different variety of shampoos to choose from. His coat is nice and clean and smells good again. They have towels and really good strong blow dryers to dry ur pets fur. Works really well. And when you are washing them they have leash clip on's to keep them in the tub while you bath them. They have brushes there too for the fury babies. Also she recommended us to use the rake type brush for our hairy baby. They have rubber brushes too to brush them while they are all wet and it worked out well. Both ladies were very kind to us. And they also have aprons to wear. 100% A+. Dar's Dirty Dogs Business is amazing, outstanding, clean, excellent customer service and a wonderful place to bring your dog in for a bath/shower.

Within the past month we had an unexpected illness that meant we had to go to Cleveland for a couple days. Called last minute not knowing how long we would need to use their services. Very accommodating, our dog stayed 3 days. Came home no problem, and again we needed their services. We were unsure of how long we would be, they worked with us extending our dogs stay. They sent pictures and our dog was having fun. We kept in contact and let them know the situation. Our dog was going to run out of food because I only packed a week of food, I was under a lot of stress and they suggested that I could have Amazon deliver her food so I wouldn't have to leave to bring her food. I am so grateful for their quick thinking, and the way that they just kept working with us, not knowing our schedule. They showed compassion and understanding that I didn't expect. I was worried about my loved one in the hospital and it was a huge relief knowing I didn't have to worry about my dog. I knew that the people working there genuinely love animals and they saw what a sweetheart my dog was and allowed for her high energy and wore her out. She enjoyed herself, but more importantly we felt good with our choice. She went back after we got home and didn't even look back as she walked to the dog area.
