All of their goodies are displayed in what would have been the different rooms of the old house. I found it to be very spacious and easy to navigate. The hardwood floors, cheerfully painted walls and big windows added to the sweet charm this business offers. I loved all the cute toys and accessories. They had so many different healthy treat choices too. I ended up purchasing my Grand dog treats that look like cowboy hats and a stuffed toy that looks like a camera. She loved them!! The man working was so friendly and helpful. He assisted us with knowledge and professionalism. I appreciated all of his help. Pet Prairie was kind enough to let us stay with our kitten while he was cremated, walking us through the entire process. My biggest fear going in was that I wouldn't get his remains back, in part due to reviews placed on various platforms and just me being paranoid. I can confirm that contrary to other reviews, I received my kitten and he is now home and at peace. I am so grateful for how supportive and understanding they were during this difficult time. I brought my baby Abby in for an appointment on Saturday. I was expecting her to be three hours or…read moreso as that's normally what's expected, especially over the weekend. Jayce was Abby's groomer. He was absolutely incredible! Her haircut is PERFECT! He was very professional but super personable at the same time. He made me feel like Abby was in great hands! I got a call about an hour tops after I dropped her off so it was nice to know she was taken care of immediately instead of sitting in a cage for hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick her up right away as I was out running an errand but I knew she was in great care so wasn't worried. Anyway, I can't say enough positive things about Jayce. See him if you can! We all love out furry kids and want the best for them and I assure you, Jayce is the best! Side note, he is in Michigan City temporarily while the MC groomer is out. Jayce is out of Merrillville, but..... HE IS WORTH THE DRIVE!!! :) Also, Abby is a yorkie so she got the short yorkie cut. She's super adorable, but that haircut is the icing on the cake!

She proceeded to come up to me and tell me how she "wants to be informed" but then was very rude to me and basically told me I was wrong. It was a private conversation with my boyfriend, as I have guinea pigs so it made me sad seeing their lack of hay, plastic hides, no companion and no toys. It was highly inappropriate.

There used to be one guy here who did a great job and he hasn't been around now for maybe a year. This was a second chance for this remaining crew because their first attempt was laughable. Literally. Our poor little guy looked hilarious but we thought "Hair grows out right?" So we gave them another chance. Two chances were plenty. Never going here again. My little guy has a LOT of hair. I made sure his top and most of his sides were knot-free so they could keep some good length on him. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, a simple puppy cut about 1" long everywhere. They listened attentively and even took the picture for reference and then apparently DECIDED A BUZZ CUT WAS BETTER FOR MY POOR LITTLE DOG. I want to stress that I have brought him in more tangled and with more knots than I did yesterday and the gentleman who obviously does not work there anymore did a wonderful job.
