The store is very clean, but finding someone to help you throughout the store is practically non existent I have placed orders for pick up in the past, with no problems . They say the wait time for pick up is up to two hours, and that's ok. I just had to call 6 hours later than when I placed my order, and it wasn't even started yet. "oh we're working on that right now!" I can see if it was an isolated incident, but it has happened more than once. Very disappointing !! read more

I used to love going to Pet Supplies Plus. Clean store, helpful salespeople and the store had all of the latest supplies and food. I started ordering online and it was nice and convenient. However, I began going into the store more once Covid had dwindled down. I shop at the Lyndhurst store in Cleveland, Ohio and Ryan is a great manager. Always friendly and tremendously helpful. The staff was ALWAYS congenial and accommodating. However, the other day (maybe February 4, 2024 or near that date) I went into the store and had a terrible experience. I was shopping in the cat section. I needed a jar of Friskies Party Mix, the flavor being Gravy-Liscious. I saw a jar on the bottom shelf, way in the back. Since I recently had a knee replacement, I was unable to get on the floor and get the jar myself. So, I went up to the front and asked the cashier if she would ask someone to get the jar for me. She saw a staff member walk by and asked her to please get the jar for me. The staff member's name is Faith. Well, people started coming behind me and I stepped aside so they could be waited on. It was taking Faith forever to return. The cashier finally paged Faith and instead of getting an answer, Faith acted as though she didn't know what the cashier was talking about. The cashier asked her again to get the Friskies Gravy-Liscious from the bottom shelf. After a while, still no Faith. I decided to walk back there. When I got to the cat section, I saw Faith trying to walk away from another staff member, CASEY, who was just sitting on the floor doing NOTHING. I asked Casey if she had gotten the jar for me. She said no, she didn't see it. I explained to her that the jar was on the bottom shelf, and the item was named Friskies Party Mix, Gravy-Liscious. Casey just stood there looking up and down the shelves. I reiterated that the jar was on the very bottom shelf in the back. Casey didn't say anything and still just stood there looking "around" instead of going to the bottom shelf. I repeated myself and then Casey looked at me, angrily, and said (I will never forget this): "If you know where it is, why don't you just get it yourself." I could not believe it. I told her I did not like her attitude, and she said, "I don't like your attitude either." Then, I told her about my knee replacement. For a minute she looked confused, embarrassed and like she had just been caught. She dropped down to the floor, grabbed the jar and shoved it toward my hands. I stood there in disbelief. All this time, Faith was just standing there too. I said to Casey, "I will see what Ryan has to say about this." Casey was rude, arrogant, flip and from what I saw, a terrible, LAZY employee. I will NEVER shop at Pet Supplies Plus again. All of my business now goes to Petsmart. Casey has ruined it for me. And yes, I have dealt with rude, etc., salespeople before. But it was the way Casey looked at me and her body language that shook me. She was like a bull who could not wait to charge into something. She was up IN MY FACE. Also, she should have been helpful about getting the jar for me whether I had had a knee replacement or not. I was a customer and she treated me disrespectfully. IT WAS INSULTING. We have been using the self wash area for several years for our dog. On the most recent visit we were appalled at the condition of the area. Gone were the shelving to place items and all hooks for towels and jackets were missing, forcing us to put things on the filthy floor. There was no dog shampoo, and the overall cleanliness was truly awful! Someone needs to address this, and you can do better than this! read more

Current fish selection seems unhealthy. I asked at time of purchase and the questions were pushed off. Fish is not doing well. Made a phone call in. Instead of the person asking what was going on with the fish to figure out if there is something wrong, got a quick 'you must have receipt and fish' for exchange. Not a positive experience. This is one of the few stores that carries the brand of dog food that I buy so I still come here even though I don't live nearby. Employees have always been helpful offering to grab the bag from the shelf and carry it to the car. The food has always been in stock, I've never had to wait to be assisted or checked out, and I appreciate the coupons they send via email so I keep returning even though I could probably order it online if I wanted to. read more

Nina in the grooming salon is absolutely terrific! We have 2 dogs, both doodles. The older one is 12 1/2 and it's not easy getting her groomed on a regular basis - it's rough to transport her, but Nina goes above and beyond to help us get her in and then helps us put her in our car after. Haven't been to this store recently, I was using Chewy delivery. It was time to switch my 18mos.old puppy to adult food, and I needed too find an adult dog food. The store was clean, neat, and well organized. The dry food was by brand and then price. The price per pound stickers where very helpful and I found a high quality protein, no grain, food that was .50 cents less expensive than his past food. The people at this store are very friendly, and helpful they take care of my little guy mostly for his nail clippings. The groomers are kind, and caring at this store. The vets are excellent too. I do wish they had more hours available, but they do take walk ins if not too crowded. read more

During non pandemic times, I love this location. However, as I am here today to get my dog groomed, the store floors are dirty and while all the employees in the general area are masked as are all customers, not a single groomer is. They are in a much more confined space, dealing with people's animals and walking directly up to customers in the grooming salon and chatting while unmasked. I find that problematic on account of humans and animals. If you're high risk, you might want to choose a different location for your grooming solutions. read more

I have recently switched from Pet People to this store because of the excellent service. Ryan, the manager at the Lyndhurst store, is wonderful! He is always helpful and willing to answer all my questions. I use mostly delivery and have been very pleased with the online process, speed of delivery and how easy it all is. I feed my Boys raw food and buy only the products I know I can trust--I am thrilled that every brand I use is available in one place. And the reward system and member sales prices are great! Although I usually speak with Ryan, I need to mention that every person I have spoken with there has been friendly and helpful as well! read more

I like this location of Pet Supplies Plus, and the one in Streetsboro. Both are clean and have a good staff. Though the one in Lyndhurst is a tad nicer, staff wise. The prices are about the same as other pet store, but they happen to carry Purina Muse, infused. And my cat sure has taken a liking to this one! read more

We're dedicated Pet Supplies Plus customers and this is 1 of 2 we frequent. The staff is always polite and the store is always orderly and clean, which is more than I can say for some other places. The dog clothing selection leaves something to be desired, but not everyone cares about that so whatever. Prices are A LOT lower than all the big national chains around. The selection is not as expansive, but we've never had a problem getting what we needed or wanted. Plus you can bring your dog in (on a leash). read more

I took my dog to his groomer appointment Saturday 8/27. The appointment was over 3 hours long for a trim & bath. I never received a call to know the status. I had to make the initial phone call for a status when I dropped my small breed dog off at 10:30. I called at 1:00pm and still wasn't ready. I get a call about 2:00pm to pick him up. When I get there, two groomers are holding my 6lbs dog down to finish shaving him because he was matted. I get there and hear the groomer talking very rudely about my dog. She was the girl with the red Mohawk (very rude). I have heard her rudely talk about other dogs on my other visits by the way. Sheila was my groomer chosen. She was a bit more sympathetic. They mentioned my dog was snapping at them which is not his temperament. I come to find out that they nicked him a couple times and that was why he was upset. They also did a horrible job cutting and shaving him evenly. I will never take my Yorkie poo back and I suggest you don't either. read more

It's my favorite pet store in the city. They consistently carry high quality food and treats for dogs and cats. The variety of goods have perennial sales - always a perk for my husky who's so fond of long lasting chew treats that carry high price tags. It's clean and tidy. Plus I like the manager, who helped me wash my dog (they have grooming but also d.i.y. facility for $10) and figure out how to use the equipment ! Best to bring in your own shampoo and conditioner tho. All around, it's a solid A in my book. read more

This store is a relocation from further east on Mayfield and in the old Dunn Hardware spot. This is now the closest pet store (dog) to my home and I am A-OK with that. The store usually always has my Nutro dog food for my 2 mutts and any/all the treats/toys they will ever need. We just received our free bag of dog food by purchasing 10 bags and that feeling is awesome seeing that our food is $50 a bag. You need to join their frequent shopping program though. PSP at this location does have live animals including birds, rodents, and bunnies, along with fish/aquatics. The staff here are very helpful. Hint: If you can't find your 35+ lb dog food bags, you can buy 2 of the 17lb bags for the same price. read more

Another pet store bites the dust on the dust in our book! My family will no longer go to this pet store!!! The small animal cages are cleaned very infrequently... as we saw more bunny poo in the cage then litter!!! Pretty bad! Also, on the same trip my daughter found a bearded dragon dead in it's cage... It probably had been dead for at least a week as it was decomposing and the crickets were feeding off of it!!! We were so sick and disgusted that we mentioned it to one of the store clerks and here reply back was that they have been receiving complaints about how the small animal cages are kept! There is no excuse for this... the owner really needs to do some serious changes! Too bad these big chain stores have put the good old local pet stores out of business! Sadly... :((( read more

Beware of their pricing/scanners. On MORE than one occassion they overcharged on more than one item. They lost a customer for life the second time they did this. I know mistakes happen, but when they consistently work in the companies favor it can feel quite suspect... whether it is or not. read more

First of all, let me say that everyone at this store has always been extremely nice and helpful with any questions we may have - many thanks to the helpful staff. However... I think it's fair to say that a store can only be as good as the products on it's shelf. With that said, we bought a bone that we thought our dog would like from this location and before we gave it to her, we did some research on the product and the company who makes it. Let me just say this product is harming dogs everywhere. So much that the BBB issued a complaint and was under investigation by the FDA in 2010, Consumer Affairs has over 115 complaints, and Fox news reported on it. The product we are talking about is called The Jumbo Pork Bone and it's made a company called Dynamic Pets (this is the same product also known as The Ham Bone). Don't buy it. We have been dedicated Pet Supplies Plus customers for our dog's grooming and vet needs, for over 3 years. However, over the past three months there have been many issues in regards to the grooming department in this store. There also appears to be a significant turn-over of staff. In June , no one could be reached by phone for approx. two weeks, either it just rang forever during store hours or it appeared someone picked up the phone and hung it up immediately. My husband went into the store eventually and they claimed the phones were not working appropriately and no one knew for over a week. I have recently called three times , only to be told they are booked up for weeks and have absolutely no appointments. One occasion, I was told this without someone checking a schedule or even attempting to suggest a time. And his was never the case prior to this summer. I am done for the time being with this establishment, I found two other well-reviewed pet groomers near by in Lyndhurst and will take my business elsewhere. This store has provided terrible customer service and I hope someone from the Pet Supplies Corporation sees this review and investigates. read more
