Pet Supplies Plus had the product I needed - freeze-dried salmon bits. My cat is old and finicky and to make sure he eats the food I put his pills in, I crush up the salmon bits and sprinkle it on his food. I call it magic dust. Also great customer service - the store didn't have a couple of things, the manager called me and helped me with replacement items. And delivery was fast and the driver was friendly. This review is pretty much for Corey. He is one outstanding human. We''ve had a 10 gallon fish tank for almost a year now, and Corey has helped us with everything from treating ick, to getting our nitrate levels balanced, to getting rid of algae. He cares deeply for fish and has an insane wealth of knowledge about them. We went to petco one time, and felt like we were being lied to about how certain fish get along together in tanks, just to get us to make a purchase. That is never the case at Pet Supplies Plus. Corey focuses less on selling as much as possible, and more on making sure we're only purchasing items that will truly help. This is the reason we only come to this store now. He has even said to us to call the store and ask for him any time he we have questions or need anything. He is the absolute best and deserves a raise!!! read more

After I left this store I cried in my car. It's heartbreaking to see these poor animals in the state of neglect they are in. The ferrets were sitting in plastic cages with no blankets, in their own pee and poop. It was honestly sickening. As someone who has purchased a sick animal that ended up passing away from them before, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CHAIN. It should be shut down permanently and investigated by PETA. read more

A friend and fellow puppy owner suggested I get Honest Kitchen products from here. So I go and it has both high and low end products. Okay. Good. Then I go one night and chat with Asst. store manager Everett. Wow. I thought I was feeding my pup cockapoo the good stuff. I found out I was in fact feeding her the good stuff... of the bad stuff. Everett recommended a new kibble for her and gave me a crash course in pup diet. A few days after taking his recommendations, there was a very visible difference in my pup's coat and overall mood. Not good Customer Service. I purchased almost 3 cases (total of 63 cans) of Fancy Feast yesterday with a 15% off coupon. Went back today to just make an even exchange of 15 cans for a different flavor (same price, etc.), and they wouldn't do it. Said I had to pay full price. I wasn't looking to use the coupon twice - and I certainly wasn't looking to beat the system in any way - just wanted to make an even swap and they said NO! They charged full price, and took out 3 cans to so I wouldn't be over my credit from the return. NOW THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Plenty of other pet food stores to shop at. read more

I am obsessed with this store! We adopted our puppy right before the pandemic shut everything down. Our puppy, unfortunately, developed a food sensitivity which we couldn't figure out. Waiting for 2-3 days for deliveries from Amazon or Chewy meant longer time she spent on food causing issues. I've been buying my food here for a year. It's a monthly visit, not a big deal. Every single time I've been in staff have greeted me, talked to me about different foods and made great recommendations, offered to carry it to the front or to the car, and shown genuine interest. I've been thankful for a smaller supplier with great service. But today was different. The woman at the register sort of shrugged when I greeted her upon entering. My food was out of stock (ok not a big deal- when can I come back). "It should be on Monday's truck". Ok, well, "should" doesn't feed my dogs... so may I inquire, was it on the order, can I put my name on it, when should I come back? (I've got a couple of days worth at home... you don't carry it in a smaller bag). The man went to get a manager. It was on the order but was already in and is gone, won't be here Monday but maybe Wednesday. She did finally take down information, but again was vague- we'll be in touch. I don't expect perfection, or mountains to be made of mole hills. But changing a dogs food can be a big deal... so I did expect them to help me to find a resolution (not me leading them to it and begging for it) with some sort of responsiveness or commitment to seeing it through. Because this store was not committed to solving my problem I ordered it from Polkadogdelivery.com. It's still local. It was cheaper. And it was on my doorstep when I came home for lunch today (less than 24 hours after placing the order). I've resisted delivery on principle. I'm perfectly capable of getting dog food. But as you can see it's now a challenge- so this one's "gone to the dog's". read more

All of the employees and managers are always wonderful and very helpful! That's the main reason I have been shopping there for years! The only reason I can't give a 5 rating is that they never have the 3 ounce cans of Wellness gravies in tuna or salmon in stock and that is all my cat will eat. I have tried Redford's naturals that looks exactly the same visually and with the same ingredients listed on the can but unfortunately my cat senses some difference and will not touch it. They also never have the 14 or 15 pound bag of World's best cat litter in stock. I try to buy whatever else (like cat toys) there to still give them business but I now buy the 3 ounce Wellness gravies down the street at Petco because they always have it in stock and I buy the 15 lb World's best cat litter in Stop & Shop. read more

What is wrong with the employees at the Medford location??? Do they hate there job so much or do they not get paid enough?? Half of them (not all) have attitudes that they just don't give a s--t about how they interact with customers!!! I'm not sure what the employees name is one girl has glasses and the male is a bit heavy set (are they related) because they have to be the most miserable employees I have ever encountered!!! With everything going on in this world (Covid) we should all work together and respect one another, I wish I could stay home all day and not have to deal with the public too, but unfortunately I'm not in the position right now that I can do that, so what it really comes down to is we are ALL going through the same thing (customers and employees) so change your attitude and respect EVERYONE!!
