I take him to the dog park here in Norwalk and he plays with other dogs just fine around balls, toys and around the water fountain and zero issue. I showed up to pick up my dog who was a shelter dog and was told that he got really aggressive towards another dog and that he cannot stay at their facility again unless he goes through their training which I'm sure costs an arm and a leg. I just told them ok because I can find other places to take my dog. I was fine with that. When I got home with my dog he SPRINTED towards his water bowl like he hasn't drank in days. That is where I draw the line. There's no reason to treat a pet like this and I hope other people do not have the same experience as I did. Should be a zero star I'm so upset.

Recently took my dog to be groomed here. she received a sanitary cut and thought it was a little…read moreodd that they shaved her down completely bald in the area but didn't think much of it just figured that's standard and would ask them not to cut that hair again as it was her longer tail hairs that were more the problem. The following day she developed a rash and thought it was the short hairs rubbing in her skin folds causing irritation. By the second day the area was bright red and oozing. We had to visit an urgent care vet as it was the weekend at this point and learned that she had a serious bacterial infection that was secondary to a suspected clipper burn. Multiple pain relievers and antibiotics later she's thankfully on the mend but $75 grooming turned into a $325 vet bill and a broken heart seeing our girl in pain. I know things happen but I am disappointed that this was our experience the first time taking her, I trusted the groomers to take good care of her and unfortunately that just didn't happen. We will not be returning but wanted to leave the review for awareness.

Both my husband and I heard this, and it was a major reason we agreed to the plan. When our puppy needed a nail trim, I called and mentioned that I had the prevention plan that included nail trims and asked if I needed an appointment. They scheduled me right away. When I arrived, I was told nail trims were not included and would cost $27. This should have been clearly communicated on the phone. Mistakes happen, but there was no accountability and no effort to make it right. When I asked for a refund since the plan was misrepresented, I was now charged $30 for the nail trim because I was "no longer a member" and didn't receive member pricing. They clearly value transactions over relationships. It's unfortunate because Dr. Quinn was great, but the business side is poorly handled. I won't be returning.

Thankfully, the neighbors found her not long after and she was delivered to Furry Friends. I was hysterical and bawling after posting her missing on Facebook and a close friend told me where she was jailed. I immediately called, sent her documentation, and cried on the phone partly in worry and partly in relief. Furry Friends not only released her to me and we bailed her out, but during after hours. We re-microchipped her for a fraction of the price of the vet and they definitely didnt do any cruel or unusual punishment to my felon of a daughter. She is now home, safe, warm, and on house arrest. Here is her mugshot. She may never show again now that she has a record. She is also getting a GPS tracker (equivalent to an ankle monitor) as well as her sphynx sister. One of our dogs go here for a heart condition - our first emergency, and the first time they treated her, they fit us in the day before Christmas Eve, the very last half hour that they were open. Dr K was very upfront with us to tell us that our dog could pass away any time. Despite that, the team at MacRae has done their very best to help us give her the best care possible, without charging us a fortune even though they could. Windy had been to that clinic a lot and was comfortable in her final moments there when her end came. They take good care of my almost 2-year-old Shorkie and we just got a new dog that had been abandoned. They helped get him checked out to make sure he was in good health. I like how they give all the prices up front before they provide any services. It is pricey caring for pets.
