A year ago I gave a review and will give another one. There needs to be more than five starts for this store. I shop many Pet Supplies Plus stores but this one, by far, is the best. I visit at least once a week so my little man can visit all his friends (aka the employees). They always greet us and ensure we have help with our needs. They never point to an aisle instead they take you to the product and advise with their opinions. They are never pushy or preoccupied. If one of the products I routinely purchase is on sale they make sure I'm aware of it. They have lots of fun events on the weekends and collect donations for the babies still looking for their forever homes. At the end of our visit they always provide a special snack for my baby. He's super picky and the staff always makes sure his favorite treats are available. If I was an executive I would visit this store to see how a business should be run. Our 3-year-old French Bulldog, Jack, died after becoming critically overheated while in the care of this grooming facility. I dropped Jack off healthy for a bath and nail trim. Approximately an hour and a half later, what should have been a routine grooming appointment turned into the loss of our dog. While Jack was under their supervision, he developed extreme hyperthermia. His body temperature reportedly reached approximately 117°F (47°C), he went into cardiac arrest, and despite the efforts of the emergency veterinary team, he did not survive. Jack had extremely short hair. At home, after bathing him, I normally dried him with a towel. Based on the information we received following his death, we have serious concerns about what occurred during the drying process and how Jack was being monitored while in their care. We are also deeply troubled by the response once Jack was in distress. The emergency veterinary hospital he was eventually taken to is approximately 5 minutes from this location. Based on our phone call and message timestamps, our timeline indicates that nearly 30 minutes passed during this emergency before he was transported to the veterinary hospital. During part of that time, the manager was on the phone with me while my dog was in distress. I will forever wonder whether getting Jack emergency veterinary treatment immediately could have changed the outcome. After Jack died, we were told within only a few hours that the company had conducted an internal investigation and found nothing abnormal or improper on their end. To date, we have not received an explanation that answers our fundamental questions about how a healthy dog became catastrophically overheated while under their supervision. Jack walked into this facility alive and healthy. He left for an emergency veterinary hospital with a body temperature of approximately 117°F, suffered cardiac arrest, and died. I dropped my dog off expecting to bring him home clean and with his nails trimmed. Instead, I came home with only his collar. Our family is devastated. Jack was only 3 years old and was deeply loved. Our home has not been the same without him. We want answers and accountability for what happened while Jack was in their care. We also believe other pet owners deserve to know about our experience when deciding where to leave an animal they love. Jack deserved proper supervision. He deserved immediate emergency care when he became critically ill. And most of all, he deserved to come home. read more

Love giving my dog Theo a bath here! They have hypoallergenic shampoo, the water is warm, there's plenty towels (you just have to ask for them), and the dryer has heated air so your dog doesn't freeze! I absolutely love this store! It really is one of the better pet stores in greater Cincy. The staff no matter the time or day are friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and organized. They frequently have cats or creatures up front from local rescues for adoption. My most favorite thing is the dog wash! For $25 you can obtain a card for 5 dog washes. $5 to keep my own house clean and save my back by not having to bend over? YES! It is located in the back of the store, and what you do is pay up front first, they will then turn the water on and provide you with towels. The area has a baby gate to keep your dog contained. An apron is available to keep your clothes dry. There are two sizes of tubs for smaller or larger dogs. There is a leash to hook your dog to the tub. 4 different types of shampoo and conditioner are available and it is mixed in with the water spray just like at a car wash! This is so much easier for lathering your pet up. There is then a rinse cycle and a dryer (no heat) that simply blows all the water out of the fur. They have everything you need for a successful and quick dog bath! Oh yeah, the store also has a nice selection of food, supplies, and toys too! Unfortunately they're not enforcing mask policy. I watched the older lady check out a woman with no mask. I asked her if masks were no longer required? She assured me they were LOL when I pointed out that the lady didn't have on a mask she replied with Oh... like you just waited on her with no mask! You knew and you did it anyway. Two weeks ago only family at a time in the self wash station as it is very small. Today the policy was no longer in affect. I'm wondering what changed? Also the self serve dog grooming stations are very dirty and in need of a good scrubbing! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I took my dog in to be groomed today and was notified by the "manager" that she had been clipped on her leg. This is the second time she has been injured at this poor excuse for a groomer! The first time was never reported to me and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and finally came back. I understood that accidents can happen. However, I was obviously upset and the "employees/groomers" were absolutely rude about it. One, who had nothing to do with the situation yelled at me, laughed about it and told me never to bring her back. Not a chance of that happening!! Completely unprofessional, incompetent, rude, & unapologetic! Do NOT take your dog here for grooming! read more

every time I go into pet supply plus I have a great experience. good prices, friendly workers, and great clean atmosphere! if you have small animals like rabbits, gunie pigs, etc.. they have self dispense bulk food that is a super great deal! my only negative opinion I have is that they sell animals. I hate seeing fuzzy animals like cats, dogs, bunnies, etc being sold like a product. adoption events would be a better alternative. read more

This store is great. I went here recently to upgrade tanks for one fish that we had been given. We ended up upgrading and learning so much about Betta fish that we did not previously know. All of the info was useful and has made us want to learn more; and now, a couple months later, we are talking about upgrading again. Great staff and selection, competitive pricing and clean store. This store is my two dog's favorite place to go. Even though they are there to get bathed, they still wag their tails when we pull up. They love walking down the aisles and sniffing everything. It's very cute to see them (11 and 8 years old) turn into puppies when we walk through the doors. It always smells fresh and clean and the staff are always so friendly and helpful when we walk in. We took advantage of their Dirty Dog Discount Card and for $25 you can take your dogs back to their tubs 5 times for 30 minutes each time. It works out to $5 a bath, which is the cheapest by far of any other place out there. They also provide the soap, water, tubs, dryers and towels. I don't have to worry about them being scared like at a groomer because I'm there with them doing the grooming :) Hope this place stays here for a long time read more
