The best place to go for your pet. Having them in the community makes it so much easier to spoil and take care of fur baby in the best and healthiest way. The options they have from toys and chews even clothes is amazing. Everyone is so kind and helpful and you might see some cute fur babies when you come in too! I recently got out of work late after getting home and realizing I was out of dog food for dinner I panicked in the middle of a down pour ( please don't act like this happened to anyone before ) I rushed over and even called hoping they keep the doors open and of course they did. I love Pet-Tique! This adorable pet store has a great location next door to Urban Planting Cleveland, one of my favorite plant shops. There's a few free parking spots in their small lot directly in front, but you can park on the surrounding streets for free as well. The owner and the staff are genuinely nice and animal-loving people. I instantaneously adore anyone that wants to see photos of my dog. We exchanged pet photos and had a great conversation about the rescues we are involved with for cats and dogs. I like Pet-Tique because the staff is genuinely knowledgeable about all of their products. They care about the quality of their food, treats, and grooming supplies. The level of knowledge I received when looking for items for my rescue were simply top-notch. They also have a fabulous selection of dog clothes, toys, and items for small critter pets. What a cute pet boutique, they have dresses and outfits with matching leashes, very nice selection of pet supplies. Grabbed a handmade catnip treat for the cat too he loves it. Variety of collars, harnesses, grooming supplies, and many flavors of multiple varieties of higher end dog and cat foods including many grain-free varieties. The owner explained to us how they only sell treats that are corn, animal byproduct, and sugar free. It includes a selection of locally made products, one of which we picked up (Choovio beef with fish treats). We have a picky pup, and he loved all of the goodies. read more

We have a basset hound that's... well... let's just say he's on the chunkier side. We've struggled to find cute dog clothes that fit him, and we have ALWAYS had success here! The people who work here are so loving and kind, and they went out of their way to pick out different sweaters and help him try them on. The store has some great sales and a really great variety of food, treats, baked goods for pets, toys (for cats too) and it's locally owned. You can find some really cute things here and they are of a way better quality than Petco. Perfect place to shop for gifts for your friends with pets! All the dog sweaters we've bought here have lasted so much longer than other stores and wash up really well. read more

Pet-Tique is due for an update! First, thank you for helping me find a dry food my picky dog will eat for more than just a week. Now, instead of slaving over an oven to roast chicken for my pup with veggies and rice, I can scoop up some natural foods from Pet-Tique that I know are healthy (and he loves) and feel great about it! They're the only shop around town that helped me that much. So awesome. Second, the prices and rewards program are great. You're not paying boutique prices here, folks. In fact, you'll mostly likely save money and frustration in the long run. They even keep track of your info in their computer so you don't have to remember to bring punch cards and such! Third, I love their selection of dog toys and treats! For Archie's 2nd birthday, I purchased a "Happy Birthday" doggy cookie that looked like it was for a human! It was beyond cute. I also found this rough-n-tumble bear cub that Archie now whips around like a caracas. He loves it! They really have toys for all dog habits, including stuffing-less, crackly water bottle toys, rubber indestructible and plush items. I know I'll always find something perfect for my little furry munchkin here. Fourth, they're always so sweet to both dog and owner. Whoever is working, they'll come over and pet Archie, give him a treat and immediately help me. It's so nice not to have to hunt around a huge store for help, but get a better selection. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite pet supply stores. read more

Then there are those that find the ones we love so rarely that we thank fate for putting us on the earth at the same time and bringing us together. My cat Palmer and my dog Peggotty brought me deep happiness. Now their ashes wait to join me in my grave. Many times I force myself from running to the phone when a particular pooch or cat tugs at my heart on some TV news show featuring animals looking for homes. I tell myself my present life style is one of being away from home more than being at home. I ask myself will I be fair to any new pet or compare her disadvantageously to Palmer or Peggotty. Or at my age is a new pet a good idea? I resist the temptation. From my pet companions I developed a great passion for dogs and cats. I donate to pet causes and more than not smile at the dog being walked more than at the child in hand. Pet-tique goes so far beyond any charity or any pet crusader. When you enter this small store know you must step aside. Here dogs and cats are the only focus. You are just the chauffeur or the companion. I come here when I am going to visit a friend who has a pet. For pet lovers I know nothing is more appreciated than recognizing their pet's role in their lives. I may not bring wine or flowers but I will bring the dog a gourmet cookie, a new collar or a new toy. If you like Cleveland you should patronize this store as it offers donations or announcements to all things Pets in Cleveland. The web page clearly identifies itself as a Cleveland promoter not like most web pages that hide locations. Try and find an address on Amazon. If you have pets use this local store over the national chains. If you have friends with pets either bring them here or bring something from Pet-tique to them. If you do not shop here then question your premises as you do not convince me you care about Cleveland or pets. read more

I love this place! Our cats are finicky about their food, and the kind people who work here helped us to find a great brand that our cats now love. Last week I ran out of wet food and had to go to a big, corporate pet food store (it was an emergency). I was kind of surprised that Pet-Tique's prices were cheaper than the chain store. How have I not written a review of Pet-Tique already????? My dog and I moved to the area earlier this year and I'm so glad that I found Pet-Tique! It is one of those stores that isn't just to make money- they're really invested in the community. I have to admit that I was initially afraid that the prices of this boutique style pet store would be higher than other places. At least when it comes to dog food they're the same as the chain stores. AND they have a customer loyalty program that gives perks to frequent shoppers. They are also very familiar with their products. I've had a few questions about items and could not be more pleased with how knowledgeable they are. While some places might make suggestions with the motivation to sell a higher dollar they repeatedly have not. That sort of treatment makes me feel as though they're actually interested in the needs of the customer and in particular the pets! As a totally indulgent dog owner I do appreciate that!!! The shop is on the small side and parking spots are very limited, however; plenty of street parking is available. In spite of the smaller size of the store they've made the most of their space and I can't say enough about how awesome the store is! read more

It's amateur at best. However there isn't much choice in the area, so if you lived close by, this is probably of higher value to you. Not worth a special trip. We came on a Sunday afternoon. We met a pug and a jack russell variation who were running around the store playing. Really cute. The store smells really good once you walk in because of these candles they carry. I usually don't like it when pet stores carry hodge podge items that have nothing to do with pets. It just screams tacky, but these candles are a nice touch. A young woman greeted us when we walked in, but she seemed more concerned about corralling the dogs than helping us. Adequate parking in front. The candles cover about 80% of the store in a nice aroma. Just don't go to the back 20% of the store by the bird. It stinks. A guy (probably the owner) was behind the counter having a lengthy conversation with someone about a dog issue. While it's great he's available for the person on the phone, he could look up or greet us and say he'll be with us in a moment. He never looked up or got off the phone during the 15 minutes we were there. A woman came in after us, bought a huge bag of food and I didn't hear a word spoken between them. They have a small gate at the right behind the front door that needs some manipulation to work. There wasn't any attempt by the employee to do this for us and it didn't make a great first impression. There are a good number of items in every category you could want, but I don't think they do anything really well. Their inventory of leashes/collars/harnesses are lazily laid out on a table and aren't showcased well. I think this place has a long way to go to charge the prices they're charging. No quality, no finesse, and no service. read more

Love this store. Would give it more stars, but I'm further away than I'd like. Is that a good reason to dock a star? Maybe, maybe not. I also dislike the parking situation and size of the store. The store is small, but they make good use of the space and manage to cram a ton of stuff in without looking messy. I get that most pet stores welcome your animals, but I really feel it here more than any other store. I'm regularly encouraged to bring both of my dogs, let them play, and I don't feel like someone is watching for them to knock stuff over. The owner has encouraged me to let my pug off leash and play with the other dogs. He LOVES it in there. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and was so helpful after I adopted my pug. I'm a crappy owner in the sense that I didn't know as much as I should have when I adopted my pug from a rescue (and they were not super helpful). The owner has a few pugs and had great advice - very sweet too! I also love that they will order stuff for you. I will say I probably would have docked a half star because it's a pricier store. However, most of the stuff in the store is worth more, especially the dog treats. There is no Purina to be found here and the owner is great about explaining each food - down to the different flavors (and has good suggestions!). I will happily pay more for my dog food and treats, but ... not so much for their toys. Sorry! I sound cheap and... well, I am about certain things. I'm a teacher and am comfortable spending more on the food because I know better food makes a huge difference for my dogs (seriously: gross warning - my friend buys yuck food for her dog, I think Purina, and the dog CONSTANTLY has poop issues and is typically.. well, not so solid. You want that? How would you feel if you were that dog? Also, um, if there's an accident to be had, let's have it be more solid, okay?). OKAY DONE. But back to the price thing and me being a cheapskate. I don't tend to buy the most expensive toys. I can't do it. While I love some of the cute stuffed toys, I also know that my dogs are a bit rough with them. That said for Miss Cheapskate (who is now typing in third person - I'm a little sleep deprived!), she will happily pluck toys out of the sale bin. I love that Pet-Tique has a sale section. The last time I was there, there were probably a dozen toys and a bunch of dog clothes on sale for great prices. Sign me up! If you buy food here, they offer a deal - buy so many bags (5 or 6 I think? Don't quote me) you get one free. Good deal! they keep track of it for you on the computer. read more

My pit bull has skin allergies so per my neighbors suggestion, I stopped in to check this place out. Once I came in, told the clerk what brought me in, she sat me down for a consultation. She was super knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Gave me a little bit of a backround on the store and was eager to answer any questions I could think of. However, this place was too rich for my blood. I never bought anything from here or came back in since. Can you say sticker shock? Million dollar dog food, laugh out loud. read more

I'm there once a week. The owners are awesome and very helpful and knowledgeable. My dogs are picky eaters and they helped us find the best food for them and they love it... was just there today in fact, picking up some treats for the pups. haha.. also, love that they are gay friendly, they always have what I'm looking for and will order something for me if they are out of stock. It's just a very cute store, and ever since I found it I've never gone anywhere else! And I'm always recommending it to just about everyone I run into. They also have a happy hour once a month where they ask for a $5 donation that goes to animal shelters, and they have food and wine and everyone brings their dogs.. it's just a great place to go and everyone should stop by! read more
