She intentionally chooses only the highest quality food and products, and you can see how much thought and care goes into everything she brings into the store. The events she creates are incredible and bring the community together in such a special way. When my dogs haven't felt their best, she has helped me pick out exactly what they need to feel better, always natural, always effective. She is one of the most genuine and knowledgeable people I have ever met. She has even made Cooper fall asleep with her massage skills, which still amazes me but more than that, she truly invests in her customers and their dogs. If you're nervous about trying something new like raw feeding, she will walk you through it and help you understand the benefits in a way that feels safe and supportive. She has helped guide me into training resources and, honestly, taught me so much of what I know today. And the fact that she is the owner makes it even more special. A good selection of premium foods, raw, freeze dried, canned, and more. Prices are very competitive, in fact the Stella & Chewys Freeze Dried Raw is priced lower than the same product at a nearby big box pet product store. They don't carry as many products here as they had at previous location but it is a smaller shop. Keep in mind, the owner has been willing to work with me (you) in getting special orders from her supplier(s). So if there is something specific you're not finding here I highly recommend you speak with her to see if she can special order the item. If you're committed to providing better for your companion animal, consider improving what you feed, start by shopping here where there's premium food options. Here you'll support a small, local, woman owned business while improving your pets quality of life. Win Win!

Brought my 1.5 y/o well maintained mini doodle to get a bath and cut because our lady that we use quarterly at the Tempe location was booked today. It's hot and I really wanted her to get a nice bath and trim instead of me doing it as usual. Let me just say I now realize why I never attempted to patronize this location and went to Tempe when my dog was of age originally. We were scheduled to see Naomi but when we arrived three ladies were behind the counter. The one with short hair was very pleasant and even opened the door for us as I carried my girl in because of the hot pavement. The one who checked us in was so abrasive and rude. I fully understand and accept if a dog bites, nips or bares teeth it is a safety concern for employees. But demeanor and tone are everything when explaining policies. Prior to arriving I noted on the check-in about my pup's anxiety/not being fond of her teeth getting cleaned or paws done. My girl is very sweet but a little nervous in new surroundings. She is in training to be a therapy dog for children but still young. With patience, a calm demeanor and gentleness she is very much able to be bathed and cut and has never bitten anyone and is very playful. She's a puppy! We also have had no issues at the Tempe location and she has been groomed by 2 people there several times since April 2025. My concern is this lady's disposition. I believe there was an immediate bias displayed as I am a woman of color in Ahwatukee with a doodle. The minute I walked in and greeted her she had a problem with providing services to me as she was not pleasant, welcoming or kind. Her tone was so foul and I truly believe my dog picked up on it. After she explained their policy of non service, she proceeded to walk from behind the counter and "test" my pup by kneeling down to touch her paw while the other ladies watched. Immediately she stated that my pup "showed her teeth" so she could not be groomed. Didn't engage with the pup by talking to her, petting her or anything! I'm not here to argue about their policies- and what did or did not happen with my puppy. I know what kind of dog I have and the aura we bring to all settings. However I feel this individual should not be providing service to anyone and petco should provide her some additional training on customer service, her demeanor and her tone with people and their pets.

Now there's a lovely cozy store just for pets! While catering more to dogs, they do have a great selection for cats. They also have an in-store dog wash for you canine owners. Their prices are definitely decent. I like it here! I picked up some treats, a new grooming brush, and a new toy for Gracie the Cat. For those who use the cat/dog vision filter from TikTok to purchase gifts for your pets, this place is well-stocked with items that are vibrant and bright for your furry companion. A+++!
