I took my toddler to the MinuteClinic because…read morehe had recent onset flu-like symptoms and I didn't want to wait at a real urgent care or ED. The NP at the MinuteClinic told me my kid didn't need a flu test, but after my insistence (I am a physician myself and was sure he had the flu), the NP finally gave in. The flu test was indeed positive for the influenza B strain and it was early enough in my son's course for him to benefit from Tamiflu. They took my insurance and had me pay my copay. Everything seemed okay, right? 3 weeks later I get a bill of $170 despite my insurance, including an incorrect double charge for the rapid flu test. I figure, not a problem, I will call billing and get this straightened out. Here is where MinuteClinic needs to be investigated by the media and legislators, because it is impossible to reach a human being on their only customer service line at 1-866-389-2727. I waited 2 hours, only to be hung up. The next day, I call again, and immediately the transfer to billing goes straight to voicemail (!). I leave a message and was never called back. I try again the next week and the same thing happens. I can't for the life of me reach a human being despite asking for billing, customer service, supervisor, etc etc. Worst still is two months later, I get a third-party collections notice for this bill. It too has the same number for me to call to resolve the bill 1-866-389-2727. I still can't reach a human being to this day. I can only gather that this is done intentionally so that when patients receive a collections bill and cannot reach any human to resolve legitimate issues with the bill, we then are forced to pay the bill in full so as not to hurt our credit scores. Even trying to pay the bill took 1 hour of waiting on the phone. This is a disgrace and should be illegal. Never again will I go to or recommend any of my patients to go to MinuteClinic for the convenience. You will pay for it later in the sheer frustration of being unable to resolve a legitimate billing issue with a real human being and taken to collections anyway.

I was taken back super fast and was only there for maybe 25 minutes. The nurse and PA I saw were super kind and made sure I understood everything. She sent a prescription over and I was good to go. Everyone was so wonderful and I highly recommend anyone to go her and you can check online before you go in to see how many people are in line so you don't have to wait forever.

They were supposed to send them to my Primary Doctor that day or at least a few days later to have the radiologist. Read them and write a report and send them over to my Primary Doctor. They didn't! They never sent anything over. I called them five times to try to have this information sent over. My Primary Doctor called them three times. Every time we called the number doesn't exist! I called the main headquarters and they didn't have a number for this specific, Londonderry POS office! I finally had my wife stop by there 12 days later, now keep in mind. I didn't need the x-rays anymore because the pain that I had in my shoulder had been diminished to the point where I really didn't need them anymore. All they kept saying when she stopped in there was they don't know what happened, they couldn't find my appointment even in the system until they actually did their job and found it 10 minutes later while my wife were still there. They don't know why their phone number was not working because they said there was no issue that week. They're clearly was, because I called from two separate phones, a landline and a cell phone. Their number still does not work when my wife was physically there in the office, calling them and the woman behind the desk just said she doesn't know why. Now that I'm having to pay for the x-rays which I don't mind doing, but I no longer need them because I no longer have any more pain in my shoulder. Regardless, I'm paying for something that they cannot do for me. Which is send me the x-rays digitally so I can send them to my Primary Doctor. My wife picked up a CD and lo and behold. The CD doesn't work at my house Newark and my doctor open it! All they need to do is their goddamn job and send my Primary Doctor a digital copy! She said she can't when I talk to the receptionist again. I told her I need to speak with a supervisor and lo and behold... Guess what? She's not there today! Every excuse in the book they came up with! Sounds like a politicians kind of answer when dodging questions! Not much different than the POS Pete Hegseth or Trump. This company is definitely following along the lines of their fearless leader and following along the lines of dishonesty. There is no accountability at all with this company. I will never, ever go back! And I will tell all my friends. Word-of-mouth goes a long way, especially when I have over 13 million+ views on Google alone. Never mind Yelp and Tripadvisor amongst other review sites! But 13 million+ just on Google alone. Here comes yelp review right behind it. This isn't my first rodeo. Yes, read it clearly convenient MD. The word will be going out.

I respectfully told him (DR Shih) several times about my significant back issues & he thought I had muscles contractions and it turned out I have a herniated disc touching the nerve and Im literally in Excruciating pain and I also explained to him how my back injuries is getting worst over week. I been to the emergency room twice I can't sit, stand or lay down for more then 5 minutes without feeling significant pain & you know what he tells me ?oh I really don't know about back injuries but you will be okay in a week or so here are some ibuprofen's & you have an appointment sept 18 and I can't do nothing for you.I kept telling him the pain is increasing for the past week I have paperwork to verify it with the updated cat scan results however he's doesn't communicate properly and if you see him everything is rush.When your a doctor your supposed be make the patient feel valued and comfortable and not always about (expedited services) now I have to go to Boston emergency room.Please if you care about your family I highly recommend you go to more professional doctor that will listen and does efficient work and with pride Roberto Alvarez he's a great guy don't get it wrong he's jus not the best doctor you want someone who cares for you and i been with DR Shih for 3 years and everything was mostly good but it can also be expedited and lack of communication with him.When it has to do with your health that's more then a little concerning
