The vets, assistants, and front desk clerks or all the staff seemed very friendly as helpful all the time. Yes, it's a little pricey, but you get your money's worth with the quality of care they provide. I called in this morning if I can have my miniature poodle for an emergency checkup due to having blood on his stool. The lady were able to get me in today for a 3:30 pm appointment. Their process is different due to the pandemic. I have to wait in the car, call them so I can check in, then an assistant will come take the dog from you and ask questions. Then you are asked to wait in u you sir car, and they will call you if you want to go ahead with the procedures or options of treatment for your dog. We live in Crittenden now, but I still make the trip to see Dr. Huesing. The office has always gotten us in quickly and the prices are very reasonable. He won me over when my kids were toddlers and we got a puppy from the pound. Two days after we got him home he started getting sick and was diagnosed with Parvo. We couldn't afford a huge vet bill and, long story short, Dr. Huesing kept the puppy at his office for 2 nights and gave the puppy medicine. He only charged me $30 for the medicine when the time came to put him out of his misery. He can be a little gruff at times, but it's only when he thinks you are doing something that is not in the best interest of your pet. He will tell you what he thinks, which I appreciate. I've tried other vets closer to home at times through the years, but I never cared for any of them as much as Dr. Huesing. His years of experience have made him very knowledgeable and I'm sure he's seen it all. His staff has been with him just about as long and they are wonderful as well.

(After boarding one of them, he died in my arms an hour after picking him up. They didn't notice that he was in respiratory distress. Just thought he was "nervous.") As you can imagine, we were very wary of looking for another vet. Thankfully, we tried PetVet365 and have been very pleased with them ever since. Over the last four years, we have rescued two dogs and had two still from when we moved here. Sadly, one passed due to age and heart issues that he had had all his life. PetVet365 managed his cardiac meds for several years until he passed at age 15 and 9 mos. However, one of the rescues was adopted as a puppy, and PetVet365 even helped socialize him until he was old enough to socialize in other environments. They welcomed our second rescue with open arms at the age of two. She had her semi-annual visit today, and she thought she was at a play date! Even our 16 1/2 year old chihuahua, who can be grumpy with anyone not her family, loves them! Their hours are so convenient for us because we work during the week. They always follow up to see how the patient is doing after a visit or procedure, which I greatly appreciate, having been in the medical field for 40 years myself. One item that I would note is that just like in human doctors' offices, you have medical practices and you have urgent care. You wouldn't walk into a doctor's office where you are not a patient and expect to be seen. You would need to establish care. That is not to say that they absolutely don't take walk-ins because I have seen people bring in a dog that they found and they scanned the dog for a microchip. That being said, if you're part of the wellness plan, they can be reached by text after hours, which is quite helpful. One of our dogs was on a prescription diet for urinary issues and that can be pricey. We got his diet through Chewy and never had a problem with getting his prescription for us to mail in ourselves. Also, we take their flea and tick meds to Costco where the price is the lowest. Again, never a problem to get that Rx in hand. No attitude whatsoever. When we brought up the diet after he had been on it for awhile, Dr. Smith gave us her blessing to wean him off of that and put him on regular diet to see how he does. We love this practice and would recommend to anyone looking for a vet!

We didn't have any guidance for the ongoing care of the dog and the leg. He reviewed previous x-rays, clinic notes and took new x-rays to make sure the pin in the bone was in place and the leg was healing correctly. He checked her out, gave me good information on future care, gave her 1 parvo shot and that was great. His staff, Karen and Tracy were very nice, took an interest in our case and took an interest in my dogs history thru abandonment, leg break, shelter and adoption. First impressions were very good.

For example, they told me I need to test my dog for heartworms every year... not a cheap test. My other vet said as long as she takes her medicine monthly, there is no need to test annually. The also told me she would need IV fluids, a heated table and pain meds after she was spayed. My other vet laughed and saved me $350. I was also on business in Japan when my dog got sick and they would not treat her without my consent.... which was quite an ordeal when I was half was around the world and 14 time zones away. All that being said. This is a good clinic and in an emergency is a good place, but I would not recommend for annual vaccinations, as they can be quite expensive.
