They have amazing coffee and baked good. It is so nice to have a locally owned place to grab my morning cup. I've tried a few different lattes and I'm happy every time. The flavored drinks aren't too sweet while still letting me enjoy the flavor. And the sourdough bread is delightfully delicious! As are the muffins and other treats. Petals & Perks has one of the best mocha in the area! I have had the mocha many times and it has been consistent. The mocha is blended well, not too much chocolate and the coffee is tasty. I first stumbled upon Petals & Perks a few years during my first visit to Frankfort and I fell in love. The drink prices, in-comparison to the other coffee shops around, are on the cheaper end. I visited another coffee shop on main street and the small mocha at shop was $1+. Petals & Perks is large inside and can easily accommodate a variety of group sizes. I've visited during peak hours in which all of the tables in the front are taken up but they had a hidden back room that had a a few more tables and chairs. The staff has always been friendly anytime I've visited no matter how busy it is inside. This is a popular coffee shop so even if the line is long the staff is well trained to keep the line moving. If you want to avoid the crowd, come bring and early. read more

The coffee was decent and they had a good dark roast. However, we were quite confused on the decor. Quite cluttered and looked very missed matched with some coastal, some Christmas and even some rustic. I don't mind an eclectic coffee shop but this was just out of hand. The drinks I've had were great, two days in a row. But two days in a row the heavy set blonde at the register was incredibly unfriendly and when I asked if the matcha had sugar on both days, day 1 she didn't care to find out for me, day 2 I pressed her to ask someone and she begrudgingly asked. No need to be unkind when a diabetic person needs to know if there's sugar. I like the merchandise and the food/drink menu but the employees could be friendlier and they could know more about their ingredients. I now will refer to this place as Petals & Jerks. read more

A guy came in and informally played guitar for an hour or so, and the place was full at 10:30 am on a Thursday with folks from the community. They brew higher grounds coffee which is excellent. They have non dairy options for people that are intolerant. If you're a tea drinker they have black and herbal teas to chose from which are very good. They also have a limited breakfast and lunch menu but good for a coffee shop. Have been here before and enjoyed it, but this time... Ordered a medium tea. Cashier stamped my frequent buyer card, which I leave in their box on the counter. Got a watery cuppa with about one teaspoon of leaves in the hand-filled teabag. Questioned the barista who told me it was two oz and walked away. Asked for more tea, suggesting 2oz not enough for a medium. Silently handed me one, again walked away. Note: they were not busy. An hour or two later I went back with my husband for him to get coffee. Looked for my frequent buyer card in their stash. Went through the whole pile twice. It was gone. As my name was on the card and my name was on my tea cup, have to wonder if it was removed after I questioned the tea? Hope it was just a mistake... But it didn't feel right. read more

My boyfriend and I love coffee, even using the word "love" seems like an understatement. We found Perks after not being too fond of the coffee we had the day before at another establishment down the street. Immediately after I walked in, I knew we found the right place! The staff was friendly and there was a lot to choose from. You could tell they take their product seriously. I went for my go-to, iced coffee. The flavor was so unique! Coming from a 42yo w/life-threatening peanut allergy, I can only imagine having a child consume such a smoothie, with absolutely no indication they include a severe allergy in their products.
