    a ham and cheese sandwich
    Chris H.

A small little Jewish Deli in downtown Frankfort. A very basic deli operation with like 10 tables. I ordered the Goyim sandwich on White bread. I was told they were out of prosciutto, would I be okay with Salami, eww No. The Goyim is a Ham sandwich with prosciutto, dill havarti cheese, tomato and lettuce with honey mustard. I told them just ham then since they were out of prosciutto. I got it and sat down and it was on 7 grain bread. The sandwich was good, it would have been much better on the proper bread and with prosciutto. The honey mustard is awesome! There was a lot of ham at least and the dill havarti cheese was very good. The service was okay, but the kid taking orders shouldn't be. He's not a detail oriented person. Overall a 3 1/2 star review. However I'll give the benefit of doubt and round up to 4. Would I return? I would give a second chance if I'm in the area again.

I had an excellent everything bagel with cracked pepper feta spread and scrambled eggs. It was perfect. My husband got a half & half danish which was great too. Staff was polite but quiet. Causal atmosphere, very eclectic and a bit cluttered. Check hours of operation before you go because they are closed during winter.

Half a Tripoli sandwich. Loaded with great meats and two slices of provolone

I'd never been to Frankfurt, we are Northern Michigan summer visitors, so we wanted to check out this lakeside town. After some time on the beautiful beaches, we made our way to town to find a bite. The reviews for this Deli were good so we stopped in. Hungry as I was, I'm glad I ordered just a half sandwich, it was enormous! The Tripoli sandwich came with salami and turkey on rye and with provolone, it was a tough first bite! But well worth it. Great ingredients make for a great sandwich. They won my heart with a great homemade chocolate chip walnut cookie. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside it was perfect! Such a great surprise I bought a second to go!

Can't believe we had to travel from the Bay Area to Frankfurt to get great deli food. The sandwiches were fantastic - there were 6 of us and we loved it all. We even came back for sandwiches to take on the plane.

At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way. Service was patient with his first time, kind, and very helpful. Recommend!! I'd like to return in the future and try their bagels. I'm disappointed that I came at lunchtime and all they had left with cinnamon raisin and I'm not a fan of raisins so... Next time!

PRO TIP: order online ahead of time to skip the line!…read more This bagel shop is super popular and there was a line out the door when we arrived on a Monday morning. We got to skip the wait and I just grabbed my order from the shelf. I did have to wait at the counter for them to fill my coffee cup, but I appreciated that it was hot and fresh. The space is small, with no dine-in area, but they seem to move through everyone's orders pretty quickly. I got the nosh (Louie's bacon, Tillamook cheddar, egg, and scallion cream cheese) on a black pepper parmesan bagel. You can also choose from a few other sandwich options, including a rotating feature. The bagel and schmear options lean more savory vs. sweet, which is my personal preference. The bagel was chewy and the sandwich held up pretty well, but I do wish it had a bit more shmear so I might add extra next time. The bagel itself wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping in the sandwich combo, but as I got towards the end I was noticing more of the parmesan. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

No real good quick stop cafes or coffeeshops that serve bagels like this from what I've found. Everyone else seems to think the same... place was packed. Line out the door on a Sunday morning in the summertime. However, skip the line and order online. Estimated wait time is pretty accurate. Take your bagel to the beach nearby and eat it there. Can't beat the view.
