I came into this store because my petco didn't carry a crate size I needed, one of the grooming girls helped me out a lot in picking the right crate for my husky. She said she had two of her own and even helped me find a better food option for my dog. And even told me to come see her in grooming whenever she needs a bath. Puppy Training with Priscilla was great. i had my pup enrolled for level 1 ans 2 puppy sessions and Priscilla did a wonderful job. All the staff in store knows my pup by name and always gives her little treats when we stop by. My only concern is when we were training, a couple of former clients stopped by to strike up a conversation with Priscilla when we were obviously in the middle of class, which was frustrating since I was paying for time. read more

This store is good with service for the exception of a young lady whom was in the grooming area. She was aggressively combing a dogs hair and a soon as she saw me watch how rough she was doing she stopped and gave me a bad look and sort of snickered to her friend. I didn't make much of it but as soon as I turned around she continued to groom the dog to the point where the dog screeched out in pain. I've always had really high professional expectations for Petco for a while now. I recently needed my dog groomed but all the ones in the LA area were fully booked til next week Bell Gardens location had an open booking so I drove out there to drop off my dog I told them I wanted the flea & tick shampoo package & left. When I called to check if she was ready they told me OVER THE PHONE nothing was done to her because she had fleas & ticks they only washed her & that was it. So I get to the store & she's HALF shaved still looking dirty. I'm like why is she shaved then ? You just told me over the phone nothing was done...then did you guys supposedly bathed her & shaved half her body ? It doesn't make any sense, shouldn't you have stopped when you bathed her ?? & not only that I go to the Culver City Petco always have, last Sunday she just got updated on her vaccines & took a bravecto so if she has any there all dead I even got the okay there from the vet to get her groomed only issue was that they didn't have an open spot til next week. All the employees there & manager were snobby & rude & didn't even bother to make things right or even be professional. Went in today not only to check it out because we are huge animal lovers with 2 dogs a cat & 10 fish ...we have alot to buy here so we came in & were instantly greeted by Liz the short girl with copper hair! Love love love this place!! The customer service is amazing! I'm so happy they opened one in bell gardens having to go to Pico Rivera was exhausting. I would like to start off with saying that their groomer Laura is a gift from the heavens I have a schnauzer who was a rescue and he really dislikes other dogs and it was really hard to find someone who would work with him but Laura being the angel she is goes out of her way to make sure he is comfortable and happy and always puts my mind to ease. He used to CRY when I would take him to Petsmart (pico rivera) and leave shaking but ever since we met Laura he runs in and loves being there. So if you have a difficult pup she is the one to ask for. Now Luis the dog trainer is AMAZING always helpful super friendly and bad ass stash lol management is incredible as well they always offer to carry my bags to my car and always greet me with a smile. The only complain I do have is that at times their is no one at the register and I've had to wait around 10 mins for service but they always apologize and are really apologetic which is nice. :) read more

I bring my puppy for puppy play time and grooming here at Petco and I am beyond happy with the service from the employees that have helped me out so far. Priscilla the trainer goes beyond and above for puppy play time and training I definitely recommend her for anyone that wants to train there dog. Vivian is our groomer and I am also beyond pleased with her service. For customer service I have to give it to Monique she's and excellent sales rep who also goes above and beyond. This store has the worst customer service I've ever had. On May 22nd I scheduled an appointment for my dog to get groomed so my appointment was set up for the following week May 29 at 5:00pm. That day of the appointment I called the store (never answered) keep calling until at 2:30pm finally Shawntae answered and I told her I was going to be a little late to my appointment but to my surprise she said "oh we don't have a groomer in today" so when exactly were you going to call me to let me know I asked and she said that the manager was going to be calling all the appointments and setting up new ones. She was the manager except of course she didn't want to deal with it so she said a manager would be calling me. So it's Thursday May 30 and I still haven't gotten a call back it's already 7:03pm.So I called the store again and asked to speak to the manager and guess who it was Shawntae. When I confronted her about her lie she didn't even know what to say so she transferred me to the grooming department and Evelyn answered with an attitude and was no help at all either. She said Dolores would call me back to reschedule so nobody there is on the same page no communication between them let alone the customer. They should be retrained with customer service skills and how to communicate specifically to give their customers call backs to let them know the situation not let it be a surprise when we arrive there with our pets and we're not getting any service. So we'll see what happens tomorrow. read more

First of all I would like to say that my experience with Petco has always been positive. My review is solely based on my interaction with one employee. My transaction started off with the cashier making exasperated noises under her breath as if she was completely over everything. She did not ask me if I found everything okay and I was the first to greet her with a smile and a hello. As I paid for my item she let out a loud "Oh my god, why did they do this?" She also continued to call her co workers "shitty people" as if it was an apology to me that I had to wait for change. She called on the phone for the money to the register and argued with her co worker for bit and hung up the phone. Another employee showed up in less than a minute and apologized to us for our wait. She explained to our cashier the reason the till was not there and our cashier complained that no one told her. She gave us our change and we were on our way. This cashier again never apologized or even directly explained the situation and acted unprofessionally and immaturely. Overall she created an uncomfortable atmosphere with her actions. I do not wish to interact with her again because this is not the first time she has been rude with me. I believe her name was Joyce. read more
