Petco website says minimum 1 galon for a betta fish

Tried to buy a betta fish for my little broth for the 5 gallon fish tank he got for Christmas. My father in law wanted to get a betta fish for his 3 gallon desk top tank. They refused to sell my father in law the betta fish because they said a three gallon tank wasn't big enough for a betta fish. They litterly state it on their website that you only need a one gallon and sell tanks advertised for betta fish that are 1.4-3 gallons. After the argumentative staff and the rude people never buying from them again. They said " there is a difference between living and thriving" they litterly make them live in a cup.

I am leaving a review on the employees. My roommates and I went in to buy a hamster and Nicole helped us. We bought 2 dwarf hamsters and we specifically asked if 2 of this same breed could live together and she said yes. 2 weeks later one of the hamsters killed and ate the other one. Nicole did not tell us this. Later, we went back to buy fish instead. We bought 4 tetra fish and we asked Nicole again if we needed to prep the tank in any way and she only told us we had to place the bag of fish into the water to adjust them to the temperature. We did so and they did not last an hour. We are upset with her incompetence but were then pleased with Bri's service. She told us exactly how to prep and take care of our new beta and he is thriving! Overall, we are upset with Nicole, Bri was helpful and we love Seth. TW dead animals.

drop acclimating both-- one is lively, the other is clearly stressed, loosing color, breathing hard

I purchased two clownfish yesterday at Bloomington, IN Petco during my lunch break. I could tell one of them wasn't doing too well in the bag on the way home, but figured I will take it back after work to return it and get a refund. I didn't want to keep it in the bag for a few hours and tried to drip acclimate it and put it in my tank hoping a bigger body of water might help. Well, it didn't and the poor guy was dead within an hour or so. I took it back to the store in the evening and was offered 20% off their last clownfish which was also on his last leg, sitting in the corner and not acting right at all. Needless to say, I passed that opportunity. The other clownfish is doing great in my tank btw, but I sure be driving to Indy for all my saltwater needs from now on.

When we considered training for our 15 week old goldendoodle bella, my two good friends highly…read morerecommended Brianna to me, and I could not be more thrilled with her services. She's very thorough and her experience shows through in her lessons. She taught us lots of training tips and asked me to write down all the notes to practice at home. From day one after her training, bella started to master the concept of various commands, and she has been a lot more responsive, especially around distractions. The in home lessons that she offers is exactly what we were looking for for our puppy. She not only has helped train our puppy, but also helped train our handling skills. The two hours with Brianna has boosted my confidence to raise the best dog for my family. I can't say enough about Brianna, and we absolutely love her

Just be VERY specific about what you want in terms of cut and if you have any special requests. I spoke to the office manager and was able to take him first thing in the morning and then pick him up right after because he doesn't like being kenneled. I also really love that you can book through the pet care app. Very convenient!

Saturday I got the daily picture update from them (that I had to pay extra for mind you ) and noticed Thor had a little poop on him. Nothing strange because Thor is notorious for rolling in poop so I didn't think anything of it. Monday morning 2 DAYS LATER I picked him up and he smelled terrible and was COVERED in poop (more than in the pic Saturday). I even made a comment about him having stuff all over him and asked what he got into and they said, "Probably everything" and left it at that. So he spent 2 days with poop on him and no one did anything to clean him up. We immediately took him to get a bath and Thor was wimpering and whinning the whole time. The groomer pointed out that his neck was completely rubbed raw down to his skin with fur missing. When we dropped him off they make us take his collar and leash so they used one of theirs on him while he was in their care. We immediately called them and was told a manager would call us. 10 minutes later we got a text message from them (not a call) basically saying this was not the standard they strive for. I told them they needed to call me because a text message is not it. The manager called and reiterate the same thing as a text and even went as far as to say that the reason his neck was raw was because they had to spray him down a few times and when it gets wet under a collar that can happen...if you KNOW this can happen "to a basset hound" why would you not dry them off to prevent the skin from becoming raw and a possible infection?!? Also, we have boarded him and taken him to Doggy Daycare numerous times before and never ONCE have we ran into this issue so don't feed me that bullshit. The manager did offer a complimentary bath and an exam on the house for Thor but if you think for one second I am ever trusting you again with my animals you've lost your damn mind. We took him to have him checked out at a vet we trusted 1.5 hour away to ake sure he didn't get an infection on his neck. Today (Thursday) I spoke to another manager and the interaction was ridiculous. First she started the conversation by asking what I think they could've done differently and then blaming the entire thing on "miscommunication" instead of acknowledging that they 100% neglected Thor while he was in their care. I got a partial refund after I asked about compensation but they have also since blocked me on Facebook after I tagged them in a post about our experience. Both managers response to this was disgusting and lacked any credibility. They are 100% trash and I do not recommend anyone send their animals there.
