I ordered two bags of sustainably yours cat litter ($47 for one bag) for same day delivery. They outsource their delivery to DoorDash. No one will take accountability but either they gave the door dash guy the wrong amount of bags, or the door dash guy forgot to deliver one of the bags. Either way, only one bag was delivered. I called petco, they said they don't have it. They said to call door dash. I called the driver, he said he doesn't have the bag. So I call petco again to see about a replacement or refund. They said the DoorDash driver took the wrong order and will bring it back. I left my number to call me so I can pick it up. No one calls for a couple hours so I call back and they say he didn't bring it back, to call DoorDash as petco is the 3rd party company even though I ordered through the petco app. Long story short, I messaged the help chat on petco and the rep gave me a refund. Instead of directing me to the correct solution in the first place, they just want to divert all blame to door dash. I won't be shopping with petco anymore. I most definitely will not use DoorDash again. read more

Dr. Ramlal and her team were amazing. My dog needed her ear drained, and some sutures. I was explained the process clearly, given advice, listened to, and accomodated well with my schedule. I would definitely recommend this Vetco/Total Care location if you sre in the area and would like quick and easy service. Had to deal with this sh*tshow dumpster fire, because they were the only petco who had a product in stock. Ordered online, five hours later and still not completed. Went to the store to pick up, new employee (there two days) having a breakdown. The other employee, not completing the orders. She started working my order, but couldn't find two products. We went to the aisle together and they were sitting right there. The other order she missed a few cans and didn't tell me. Thankfully I counted. I asked her why she didn't tell me some were missing and she started ranting about how she's working 7 days a week, blah blah blah. She then went off on another customer asking for help. I asked for a substitute for the cans missing, she said she would have to charge me. This is complete bullshit asked her about the refund and she had no idea how that would work! Ok I don't like to give reviews but this is by far the worst Petco ever! The first time I made an appointment for my dog they said they could not groom her because she was matted badly and the person that does grooming was not there but mind you, I made an appointment. I was livid and and was never returning. The 2nd time making an appointment was a mistake as k didn't know that was the location that I originally had the bad experience. When pulling up to the store I just cringed but took my baby in anyway because she needed grooming bad. My appointment was set for 8:15 AM. Got to the store and the door was locked. I looked through window where they do the grooming and there was a lady on the phone. She finally looked up and let me in. anyway I asked for a bear cut. My dog ended up getting shaved down to her skin and it was uneven. I left out a lot of detail as I'm writing this review late but I will never take my baby there again. They butchered her. The need a better groomer and people that actually have good customer service. Horrible there that's all I can say. read more

My experience was not very satisfactory. Cathy S. , my groomer said it would be 5 hours to groom my dog. I expected a well groomed dog and I got back a dog with a very short haircut which was uneven throughout her body. A 1/4" in some places and shorter and longer in other areas. Her face and head was 3 inches. I do not recommend you take your golden doodle there. They took 5 hours to shave her or maybe used clippers on her. She didn't even smell good. I had her washed there 4 weeks ago and her groomer was extremely nice and did a fine job. My dog was completely brushed out and smelt great. Her name was Krissy and I do recommend her. She took less than 3 hours. read more

Went in to this specific location few times in the past. It's always an ok experience UNTIL you need actual CUSTOMER SERVICE in which I needed today. Walked in and headed to the live fish area, saw what I wanted but no one was in the area. I browsed around the area for about 5 mins to see if someone would come by, nothing. I then headed to the front to see if they could help me, there was two ladies in the front one ringing customers up another writing up some signs but not with anyone. I courteously waited as not to interrupt her after 5 mins of being ignored by both women who clearly see me waiting so I had to ASK in order for someone to acknowledge me. I then ask the women writing out her signs if someone could help me in the fish area and she just looks at me and says "no one will be back there for awhile" and continues on doing what she was doing. Nothing else, so I guess I would have to just figure it out on my own, so of course no fishes were bought nor will anymore of my business be at this business. If your customers are an inconvenience to you, they made it clear that customers are not their priority here. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and these two workouts should take a lesson or two on customer service skills to avoid other customers from feeling the same way. read more

We've been bringing our dog here now for a few months for grooming and training. Everyone's always been super friendly. We've completed puppy level one training and just started puppy level two training. Our puppy has learned a lot and he loves going. Jacie is our trainer and she's knowledgeable and friendly. The grooming services have been great as well. We've had Savanna and Maria and both are good. Our puppy always smells and looks great. We've always had good experiences and he's done usually within the hour. Never had any problems with them so not sure what's with all the bad reviews. Do not come here for grooming. Char will tell you she doesn't feel like brushing hair to upsell you into a hair cut. I have visited several other petco groomers and never been told that, or encountered someone as unprofessional and rude. She held a personal conversation for over 20 minutes with people she knows, seeing the other waiting for check in. I will never come here again, and would not feel good leaving my dog in her care. I have repeat delivery for my best feline friend's food, but occasionally I run short. That's when I swing into this location so my cat doesn't kill me in my sleep for that mistake. My cat only eats one flavor of Soulistic and on my last visit the store only had eight cans available. It's not just this location, most locations don't seem to carry large stock of any one flavor of canned cat food. That's the main reason I started the repeat delivery. My best friend's favorite treats were well stocked and I had a nice choice of flavors. I've never had an issue finding my brand of hard food though. The store is clean and well organized. There's usually only one cashier so it's a toss up on check out time. If you're lucky to be the only person checking out it's fine. If the store is busy then you'll be in line for awhile. This review is specifically for the grooming department of this location. My wife had an appointment at 4:15 and when she arrived was told it might be a wait which is fine but didn't get a call until 45 mins later. She informed them that our dog was reactive and they clearly didn't care as my wife had to leave due to our dog being reactive and then not giving her a timeline of when she would be helped. This is poor time management and they should've rescheduled when they knew they were backed up. When I showed up the lady at the counter try to said this is a big dog and long hair the price is gonna be $42 WTF!!! We had to argue with them we'd confirmed the price already. Finally we got our price. Before we left we asked her how long it's going to take the lady answered 4HOURS!!!! We asked why so long and the other guy said how about 2 hours We canceled right away. Each time we visit, the only employees seemingly around are the 1 or 2 people at the registers. Can you imagine coming home to your dog shocked she throwing up and shitting at the same time. Kathleen the Vet Clinic Supv. literally hung up the call after telling me if i cant get my dog to the location who is shitting everywhere she cant help me. She didn't offer any home remedy or any resolve. She kept making excuses to remove herself from the situation and as someone who is supposed to care for pets I find that very disturbing and alarming. Its so many people who want to work and then you have Kathleen who wants power. If it was not for me being proactive and calling back and speaking to the store manager who then instructed me to get her some anti diarrhea liquid and bring her in when she gets better. Yet, the Vet Manager couldn't tell me that and I asked her for alternatives. I don't know who hired her but they definitely couldn't have known about her lack of care. Another thing that's been bothering me about the incident was that they tried to make Taz seem like an aggressive dog when she came for her appointment. How you straddle a dog or anyone for that matter and expect them not to jump. She don't know you and you being all aggressive sneaking up from the back . Then because she jumped you called her "bitey" when she didnt even show you teeth and put a muzzle on her. Never has she bitten anyone or wore a muzzle. Then though I've been a customer for over 15y they couldn't find me in the system but the other location where she was groomed found her just fine. So I was made to pay for the Rabies shot that made her sick that she may not have needed. So unprofessional the entire experience. Under Staffed and Entitled is not the vibe I want when I take my pet for care. No seperation for sick or healthy dogs or Small vs big dogs. I just recently became a fur baby mommy to a cute little Morkie.... I have never owned a pet and was a little lost as to what kind of food they ate where they poop toys the vet etc.... I walked into this Petco and every employee was very helpful they asked me a couple of questions so they could customize my shopping experience they recommended some food that he should be eating at two months I told him that he was not eating his food and he had diarrhea after several that we tried my puppy ended up loving what he recommended witches whole Earth Farms puppy recipe it has lean proteins whole grains and vegetables...he is very picky so he did not like the Sharlie bear dog treats with liver but enjoyed the zukes mini naturals salmon ...great experience the cashier also recommended a great vet which I went to go see for his shots he loves her !!!! read more

Do not come here especially for grooming needs. We have used Petco for years in another city and the month we moved here things started getting fishy. They would automatically upgrade our grooming services $25+ without our consent several times. I have been calling customer service for months. When I originally called the store manager the told me that I was a liar though I have physical copies of receipts. He said he trusts his groomers words over mine. Horrible customer service. My wife went in to get some feeder fish for our pet so I told her I'd wait in the car close by the entrance. I made a yelp account just to tell my experience at this store! I purchased a puppy today for my three kids. I went into PETCO to speak to someone about what I would possibly need. Ashley helped me and was very informative. I asked her where a particular crate was. When she showed me the crate inside the store I noticed that it was $119.99 however online it said $54. Ashley was very nice and said she will give me the online price no problem! I let her know I was still shopping and she gladly picked up the crate and held it upfront for me. As I complete my shopping I leave the store. An hour later I checked the receipt and notice she forgot to give me the online price. I called the store and asked to speak with Ashley. Nolla said she was gone for the day. I continued and told Nolla that Ashley forgot to give me the online price. Nolla was SO NASTY!! She immediately told me with an attitude that it was nothing she can do for me unless she looks at the box. Her attitude was so NASTY!!! She basically told me she wasn't going to give me back my money. I asked her for her name then she immediately hung up on me. I called back she hung up again. I called back she hung up again!! So I got in my car and drove down there. As I'm at the light she calls me back and says "Is this Amber". I said "Is this the women who doesn't want to give me her name" I really don't know what she said after that but I hung up on her. I pulled in and walked inside the store. I asked an employee where the manager was and what is her name and the employee said "I don't know because I just met her" then Nolla walked up. She was completely different on the phone. She actually tried to use some Customer service however she KEPT TALKING OVER ME. I told her I am the customer and I want her to listen to what I have to say. However, she did not. She walked away from me and I told her to call security. She said she would BUT NEVER DID. I took out my phone and recorded the situation. Basically, they tried to steal my money. But after I started recording her she told me she would give me the crate for $54 bucks. I made this yelp account just to review this store. WHAT A HORRIBLE FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE. I'm embarrassed I had to escalate to that just to get my money back. Nolla - You need to take a class on customer service!! Obviously you're new! However one girl we delt with today was so sweet and helping. Mainly why I am changing my review is because after being upset I contacted the adoption place and they more than redeemed themselves. They apologized for the miss communication (I understand the miscommunication because it was super hectic in there) and were very helpful. AND I GOT TO ADOPT MY BABIES!!! Worst customer service. I'm not going into great detail. Obviously, they have a management problem at this location. Training on customer service is really bad. The reason is always management. In this case it's Tyler. I hope someone above him will monitor his behavior. He, clearly, has no reason to be leading a team nor helping customers. What he failed at, today, was basics. And never is a manager supposed to be blatantly rude to a customer. He doesn't even have the backbone to resolve a situation. Again, he has no place in management, unless Petco wants a, truly, bad example set for the employees and to lose customers. I've been a customer for a very long time.
