I brought my cats to the vaccination clinic (Vetco) inside Petco and had a great experience. Usually going to the vet takes several hours, but I was in and out with multiple cats in less than 45 minutes! They received their vaccines, heartworm treatment, flea treatment, and had an overall wellness check. Best of all, it was much cheaper than the vet! The vet techs and vet were very knowledgeable and quickly answered my questions. I'd recommend the Vetco clinic to anyone who hates waiting around in the vet's office all afternoon. read more

My grandchildren were told this evening that they had to be 19 to buy a $.49 goldfish. The same cashier made me come in the store to buy the 2 fish! When she had checked us out she questioned about our tank, water temperature, if it was completely set up, etc. She told us to set it up and come back in a week to buy two goldfish so the water would be ok to put the fish into our tank quoting appropriate water temperatures! We have bought goldfish that lived for a long time and have never been interrogated by your company like we had no sense in raising 2 goldfish! I'm 73 years old and was very offended buy this treatment! I went to a different pet store and made my purchase without any problem! It seemed that your employee didn't want to make the sell! Very confusing to me! No plans to shop here again! read more

It's been about 8 months since I took my dog there to be groomed, but really feel that I should share my experience. I own a mini sheepadoodle with a super sweet temperament. When I initially began bringing my dog there, I selected a groomer that was known for being good with puppies. Over a couple of grooms, I noticed that my puppy started showing signs of anxiety and didn't want to go to the back. When I'd pick my puppy up, the groomer that I selected was not there. Another person would have groomed my dog without my knowledge or okay. The last experience that I had with them was the last straw. I dropped off my well-cared-for doodle to be groomed, and she returned to me, butchered. When I picked her up, I was told that she was extremely matted and had "hematomas". I was completely shocked and without words! My dog returned to me with scorched red skin marks and blood stains all over her body. I called back and spoke to a male manager who apologized to me for my experience and told me that my next groom would be at no cost. By the time I went back to claim the free grooming, there was a new manager who stated that she had no knowledge of my experience. She was also unapologetic and rude. I did receive the grooming at no cost, but the experience was poor and I was afraid to let them cut her. I haven't been back since. I've showed the pictures to our vet and her new groomer, both of which have stated that it looks like my dog had been knicked and experienced razorburn. Based on my experience, I would caution anyone against bringing their animal there to be groomed. read more

This is turning into my "go-to' place for pet supplies. I have two cats, a german shepherd, and a chihuahua that create a great need for such a store. They have a great selection of food with many healthier choices. The employees are nice and seem to like animals. Jack is especially friendly to my dog when I bring her to shop with me. DO NOT ORDER SAME DAY DELIVERY SERVICE FROM PETCO!!! It's a scam!! I ordered it and they canceled on me saying THEY DID NOT HAVE the food available after saying they did.... ok .... no problem that $175,00 of dog food is pending in my account for 24-72 hours! But I have to go get dog food right now in the rain which I was trying to avoid in the first place ( as a handicapped person) but what really PISSES ME OFF is over 24 HOURS LATER some guy named Riccardo from DoorDash says he's bringing me dog food from Petco?! W T F?! From an order THEY CANCELED YESTERDAY?!! Ok, no problem I'll call them so they can fix this, First Lady tells me it's MY PROBLEM I gotta call DOORDASH?! So I get a manager ( who was nice) and she says I need to call customer service so THEY can CALL DoorDash and fix this mess.... customer service spends another 35 minutes of my time telling ME to just RETURN it when I get back from California from my TREATMENT! ( or my paralyzed husband can take it in...) we have 90 days to return it , they don't mind waiting?! This is NOT an honest nor handicapped friendly company. I bought an (expensive) tropical fish from this location and it died 15 days later. I brought the fish, with a water sample and the receipt back to the store that day. The employee told me that there was a 14 day return policy and that I couldn't be refunded. After looking through the companies return policy, I found that it is 30 days. I will not be back as the employee was also extremely rude throughout our encounter. I do not recommend this pet store to anyone. read more

Bad experience all together. My experience started out at the front door. I arrived just on time for an appt but no one was there, so I just stood patiently at the door. A worker walked up and said they were closed no one was there, I said ok I will just wait as my pet has a groom appt. Well they aren't going to charge you she said. I said I never said they were I'm just on time for an appt and will wait. So rude and acting like I can't wait at the door. I mean you guys are the ones late for the appt not me. Then I go back to pick up and get told my pet can't come back bc he's panting and so on and so on. I said we'll it is 100 degrees, not very cool in the store, and he's a dog they pant and going to the groomer can't set off anxiety. But anyways after a little convo and not understanding why they didn't call me if they had issues with him I just told her it's OK he wouldn't be back. I never really questioned anything as the groomer seemed agitated to be at work. No other groomer has ever had troubleexcept for myself bc what child cooperates for thier own parent.... And I only went there bc they were the best price. BUT I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Sad to loose customers to bad customer service. read more

Of course my pups and I went for grand opening wkend while everything is fresh, new and perfect. I have been to a few Petco stores and this one seems slightly smaller than the ones I have visited. It still has the grooming salon, vet and adoption areas though. They have a seemingly endless selection of dog foods and many brands that I have not seen in other places. One thing about Petco that I have always liked is the area where you can pick and buy treats by weight. In the past I haven't been a big fan of Petco (no particular reason), but since this one is so close to me I am sure I will frequent it (and become a full-fleshes fan). read more

Hello, This was our first time at this store. We weren't asked if we needed any help then when we get to the counter there wasn't anyone there the first, second and third time we headed that way. We continued browsing but then another customer came up behind us looking for someone to check us out so I went to find someone and they were all talking in the back. One associate apologized but then when I said to my daughters that they were talking in the back the woman (identified as Chelsea on the receipt) interjected saying she was "talking about work." I wasn't even talking to her but was talking to my children but then when I said to her that didn't matter and we shouldn't have had to come look for her, she rudely said "well I looked and didn't see you." Again not an appropriate reply to a concern. Then she continues to say "well you weren't there." We were clearly there if I had to come look. Not sure who this young lady is but she's very rude, unprofessional and definitely should not be working with customers. And to do this in front of children AND another customer was even more UNPROFESSIONAL. Not a good first experience. read more

I waited in the fish area for quite a while, The two employees working the area wanted nothing to do with me. They helped everyone else besides me. I approached the tall one as she was bagging one single shrimp for herself, asking her where a product is; she pointed behind her head and said "over there" before disappearing. It was in fact not over there. The shorter one avoided me at all costs, before going to the register. As she was checking me out at the register she kept mumbling "where are you Madison, stop running your mouth Madison". When Madison finally came to the register I realized she was the only one to approach me, was very knowledgeable and gave me her best and honest opinions about the products I was buying. Made other suggestions & told me why. Not only did Madison help me, she was very nice and made me feel like I wasn't the burden the other two made me out to be. Thank you Madison, and never change who you are. If I was the manager I definitely would be having a talk with the shorter dark haired girl with the terrible attitude. read more

Came to pick up an order. Got an email saying it was already picked it up but it wasn't me. Had proof, was respectful and the manager had an attitude saying she simply doesn't know and that it wasn't in the system. And to call customer service...... The order was right next to her the whole time..... a worker admitted to clearing it. But if you were able to clear it then it should be in your system. Horrible service. Cody is truly an outstanding and caring groomer. We have an older dog that has severe anxiety. Cody always goes above and beyond to calm our dog, make the grooming experience as pleasant for him as possible and most importantly let's us know that he is being taken care with the best of care and compassion. Our dog always looks wonderful after his grooming appointment and I commend Cody for his caring, kind and patient demeanor. We could never give Cody all the praise he deserves. read more

The dog trainer is always super helpful. My dog loves him. He always takes time out of his day to come talk to us and play a little with our dog. He remembers little things about her like her name, favorite treats, tendencies. All of the staff is very kind as well. 10/10 would recommend. read more
